Hi, Dr. Vstrom. I hear a very tiny sound when I rotate my rear wheel. The sound seems like that a break pad slightly touches a break disk.

      Tiny sound is nothing

hi, I have a v-strom 650 m.y 2020. I will soon have to replace the brake pads both front and rear. Which pads did you fit, organic or sintered? Thank you!

The Suzuki original cause I can get in good price and they last long. Let's face it, they are tested to work well, last long, do not make noise, assuming proper calliper maintenance and in the set you get the back plates. Also Vstrom brakes are not racing brakes and changing the pads to a different Brand will not do much in terms of performance. Hope that helps

I lost the insulator and back plate. Where can I get a replacement? Is that the technical name for that part?

It depends on the sound, condition and maintenance you did. Watch my other video where I clean lube and inspect the calipers.

You forgot the hardest part of changing the pads on this bike.
Pushing the brake piston back so the new pads will fit which is virtually impossible with the exhaust on.
Please show how this is to be done.

David, please watch my videos more careful. On 35 second of the video you watched, I refer to my more detailed video on rear brake caliper cleaning, lubing, etc ruclips.net/video/-i00Gg7sMqc/видео.html which also shows how to move the caliper to have space and I demonstrate how to take the piston bit more out for cleaning & then put it back on. Looking forward to your comment.
