Lizzie! I went out 2 days ago and bought lemon essential oil, vitamin E oil and tea trea soap (the didn't have black soap) and a facial brush from Boots. Lizzie I've come to ask where my dark circles have gone. I had them 2 nights ago and they're nowhere to be found. I looked under my pillow, under the bed, in the cupboard- nowhere! What kind of voodoo is this u have introduced us to??! And secondly where have you been my whole life? But seriously though, you can baaarely see my dark circles, and I had massive pores, they're half the size they were. First night I removed my makeup with coconut oil+vitamin E oil. Cleansed with tea trea soap and brush. Then a clay mask. Moisturised with usual cream but added a drop of vitamin E oil and lemon. Next night just tea tree cleanse and moisturiser mix. #lifechanged thank you!!

Ever since I stuck to just using Black Soap, Tea Tree Oil and sometimes Lemon (depending if I have any) and began drinking lots of water my skin has been popping! Can't remember the last time I had a break-out, just the occasional spot.
My skin is combination. I've also stopped using make-up removal wipes and purchased a make-up removal cloth so that I don't put any harsh chemicals on my skin and my skin has improved so much more.
Bri because it's super drying it makes your skin want to over compensate the moisture by producing a lot of oil on your face. Try using a good toner after and a good, but light, moisturizer.
Hey guys, I’m following Lizzie’s routine to get rid of acne spots/scars. So far, I’m using vanity planet spin brush with black soap, toning with witch hazel (in the morning) and moisturising with Shea butter with a few drops of vitamin e oil. At night, i use my spin brush with black soap, i tone with ACV/aloe vera gel/water mix. To moisturise, I add a few drops of lemon essential oil to Shea butter. I’ve been using these products for 4 days and already my skin is smoother and brighter in complexion and my scars appear to be lighten. I can’t wait for my 2018 glow up. If anyone wants any updates, just let me know. *An updated comment is down below*
Tiarra Wills Hey. So my skin is looking the best it has in a very long time. My skin is getting more and more even which is amazing. I’ve had 10 year old scars and they are fading. When the sun hits, my skin just glows. I’m still getting breakouts but they have definitely reduced. They aren’t popping up as much besides from the time of the month. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m pleased with the progress so far. As a spot treatment, I use a mixture of Shea butter, a drop of tea tree and a drop of Vitamin e oil. I feel that spot reduces quicker than tea tree (diluted) on its own. An update is that I have also bought the glycolic freedom toner Liz suggested in other videos. I wish I saw this video yearssssss ago, listen sis, my skin is clearing up. The brush, the black soap, the shea butter, THE LEMON OIL, everything is fading. Sis just thank you. God bless you !!!!!!!!!! 😘😘😘😘❤️
I am so happy I came across your RUclips channel... I've struggled with dark acne marks for the majority of my teenage life and after watching your video I bought black soap, lemon essential oil and the brush (not arrived yet) but omg after less than a week of using these products my skin is already improving!! i cant thank you enough. i love your channel and your enery! 💕
Beautiful Tkeyah no dont automatically think this lol. Like you said just have a good diet. Vitamin could also help out. But it could be different for everyone.
essential oils are strong, dont use lemon essential oils everyday once the scarring or dark spots are gone, 15 drops are waaay too much go for 5 max (it should NOT sting at all), I would suggest 3 tbh, dont put it around ur eye area and if u use coconut oil on ur face make sure to not leave it for long before u wash it off. prolonged use clogs ur pores.
Goldengoods the general rule says if u can cook with it, its not meant to stay on ur face n neck. Use on body is fine. Almond oil, specifically sweet almond oil is good for cleansing (I.e removing makeup nd dirth before using an actual cleanser). It isnt a moisturizer so leaving it on ur face at night is kinda pointless cos it leaves ur face dry on the long run. Hope this helps. Id suggest just use a night or heavy moisturizer
I used to use coconut oil as a face moisturizer. After some research I discovered that it may block pores and cause pimples. My skin was better after I stopped using it. It seems to work for you though.
omg I loved this video!!!!!!!!!!!! i love how you went for natural not very expensive products like so many beauty gurus on youtube. To cure my acne, I took a very similar approach to yours. Along with a healthier diet, my acne improved soo much! thanks and I definitely subscribed

I never thought of putting the black soap on overnight as a spot treatment! I don't usually get breakouts but recently (the past two weeks) I've had a terrible breakout on the sides of my face! Last night I tried your advice about leaving the black soap on as a spot treatment on my face overnight and I'm literally shocked that the breakouts are almost completely gone!!!! Ok I'm now I'm going to try doing the other steps you mentioned. I thank you for sharing this information and I just had to subscribed to you luv! Thanks! 😀😊🙂☺️👍🏾

I have been using lemon essential oil mixed with coconut oil for the past 2 days and its slowly getting rid of my acne and scarring 🙈 ive been using so many different things for months to get rid of the last few spots and scars from my huge acne breakout and nothing else has worked especially this fast❤
Thank you so much for this video! I recently changed my whole skin Routine to all natural products. This encouraged me to try black soap again and buy lemon essential oil among other essential oils! Can't wait to see results!
The transformation is amazing! I was on proactive n was not feeling it. Finally found some products that worked for me. Glad u a good routine I know the struggle!
Lol as soon as i watched this video i ordered eveything! I have been using the products for just a week and the lemon oil is incredible! Such great advice thank you xx
this really works!!!!!!!!! Been doing it for a while and I swear my face is so clean and pretty when before I was suffering with acne. Thank you Lizzie!!!!!
Great recommendations :). I would also recommend that you try Rosehip Seed Oil. Just using that alone took care of 90% of my acne. It's really good at helping correct dark spots and hydrating the skin. Good luck everyone!
You can use moisturizer on after using black soap. If you have naturally oily skin use a light moisturizer and if you have naturally dry skin then use a heavier moisturizer
I have been battling with acne for years but I just discovered some soap that works miraculously. As you said I want to be 100% sure before making a video on it. Just subscribed to your channel keep it up
Oh my gosh the shea butter and and lemon essential oil worked so nicely for my skin. it improved my complexion as well as faded out my black spots. I use the black soap as a daily cleanser which actually worked amazingly for my skin. I have youthful, smooth skin right now and it's only.been 3 weeks. at first My skin reacted badly to the new facial Royine but eventually it came. out so beautifully so guys don't give up. also the spinny electric facial sponge thing really does do the most. invest in one
omg thank you so much! I'm about to be a teenager and I'm so glad i found this! it helped me with my skin soooooo much!!! I thank you again! you've changed my life
I got chu!!!😋💯 The first thing im about to get is the Spin brush! Target sells the "Spin for perfect skin" by Vanity Plant for $30!! I might do updates on my skin on my channel idk tho.
This video is honestly the reason I subscribed and now I love watching your videos! Such a simple routine without listing lots of crazy expensive products, an love that they are natural too. My skin has improved so so much!
Just put lemon instead of lemon essential oil. Dilute it a bit. Mix it with jojoba oil or shea butter. Works wonders. Also jojoba oil and tea tree oil is an excellent combo for oily acne pore skin.
I have used almost a whole bar of African Black Soap and either it really didn't do anything for me or it broke me out more :( I was so sad because everyone raves about it! I have been using coconut oil everyday to wash off makeup for about 2 months now, and I don't see a huge difference either :( Tried so many different face scrubs, washes and nothing helps. Im so lost :(
please try: Lemon essential oil to help even skin tone and reduce the look of pours, peppermint essential oil to reduce spots & Lavender essential oil to reduce scaring (not saying you have all of these!) it's cheap so it's at least worth a try x x
Taylor Stadel What brand of Black African soap did u use? that really matters. I tried the Shea Butter brand (cause it was easier to get at walmart) and it broke me out as well. I use the DuDu brand on Amazon and it worked instantly... something about their formula. Dont give up. after a few washes my face had already started to get better. I have no pimples and no dark hyper-pigmentation and I still wash my face in the mrng and at night with that soap.
Taylor Stadel as for black soap, you really should use one that is 100% pure and natural. I don't think the brand matters. The one I use, I buy at the health food store or from Africans, which has no brand, just comes in a big chunk in a plastic sandwich bag. I've been using that type of black soap for 17 years and it is truly amazing.
Do keep in mind everything is not for everybody. I found out the hard way guys! It worked great for her skin but I also have sensitive skin. So with that being said I used the Vanity Planet exfoliating brush and the exact same black soap she had and it burned my skin extremely bad and my face was raw for over a week and I was back at square one. So I used Aloe Vera plant to heal the burn and also used it as a toner and my skin looks better than ever! And as far as the oils I didn't have a problem with that having sensitive skin. Good Luck Luvs!
For those whose skin got burned from the black soap spot treatment, don’t be sad! It peels off in a few days. Stop using all your products. Get the soap off your face and then put on some aloe Vera. Then, Slather on some coconut oil right away. If you have bio oil, camphor oil or almond oil just massage it into your skin. What also helps is aquafor. My skin started peeling the next day and looks a bit better. I am hoping by the end of the week it will be completely healed and gone, maybe sooner. Drink lots of water and don’t pick it! I also take zinc. I’m sure black soap is great but as a spot treatment it will burn your skin.
I had to come back and leave a comment. I developed horrible acne out of NOWHERE!! My face would clear up most nights or at least get better and be bumped back up by afternoon. I have been using witch hazel twice a day AND LEMONGRASS as suggested by you. It is AMAZING!!!!! My face is back to its old normal clear self. THANK YOU!!
i use black soap aswell and its done wonders, i usually get spots on my forehead due to stress, i still never gone a day without spots on my forehead but it dries out my skin aswell. i recommend using aveeno face moisturiser or hemp body butter ( hemp can make your face really oily but i find it clears spots aswell)
Lizzie, I just subscribed to you after watching this video. You are gorgeous, positive, energetic, beautiful in and out, you're so inspiring, motivational, and great. You are amazing in every aspect and I admire you and respect you for being one of the few real people out there. Thanks to you I can update my skin care routine, although I never hit the phase of acnea puberty since I didn't have oily skin or massive pores but recently I got more tiny blemishes and I must agree the disinfectant works miracles on new born baby pimples to take away that dirt. ❤Love you from 🇮🇹!
honey there are specific measurements for diluting essential oils.... iv bin into essential oils for 3yrs now. You must do a patch test on a small area of your skin, preferably d inner part of your arm. test before actually using coz ppl react differently to essential oils. it should never sting honey if it does it means you need to dilute some more with a base oil (jojobo oil, grapeseed oil etc) essential oils penetrate directly into your bloodstream that is why you need a carrier or base oil so as to prevent any immune or allergic reaction. Please be careful when using them. they work wonders as spot treatments of course but use with care. stay safe guys🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hey Lizzie, Thanks for your video, I used to suffer severe acne and it's nice to see other youtubers sharing their insights on how to clear it. Great tips, and African soap is the one! Awesome vid!
I've noticed a change in my skin when I went back to using natural products on my skin. I now use black soap to cleanse, tea tree oil to spot tree and black seed oil to moisturize. I'm gonna run and get some lemon oil and see how that works
Gemini Peterson me too. My skin liked it for a few months and then got use to it. It ended up drying out my skin so I threw it out. Now I use the DuDu Osun black soap and it works well so far.
Gemini Peterson sis u have to try the DuDu black soap... i had the same issue with the shea moisture brand. Its something in their formula that just didnt vibe with my skin.
NaturalGlory • yes, use on ur face and neck and back (if u have acne there). I wouldnt recommend using it on ur lady parts. its an exfultant. I found that out the hard way.
The most easiest way to clear acne to me is going for a swim at the beach. The salt water clears your face so good it works good for me. And I have really oily skin to.💖
I literally had to Sub after watching your videos. I'm going to try this regimen I already use some of these products but I'm gonna try to make this a routine. Thank You!

Black soap is drying but if you use a great toner directly after & moisturizer after that it really helps!! Your skin looks great

Makua Okoli Any update so far?

The fact that I've had lemon essential oil sitting on my counter for a long time because it stings, but I'm gonna try mixing it with Shea butter.
Couldn't help notice how pearly White your teeth are. Do you whiten your teeth etc? I am pretty new to your channel. Came across it today.
I love your personality and you're very pretty. I'm struggling with some acne too. I have a combination face. I'm gonna try this soon, thanks!

+Aligned Stars awwww yay so happy !
Thank you for the tip! Ill definetly go out and try it ☺
Bri Bri I did use shea moisture! What brand works?
Taylor Stadel as for black soap, you really should use one that is 100% pure and natural. I don't think the brand matters. The one I use, I buy at the health food store or from Africans, which has no brand, just comes in a big chunk in a plastic sandwich bag. I've been using that type of black soap for 17 years and it is truly amazing.
You captured me a new sub just from the way you talked like your talking to a friend. Your personality matches mine...bubbly nice...love that!
Good Luck Luvs!
thanks for the feedback! x
Must you use the exfoliating brush? Please I need to know
Thank you for Really Helping and not advertising. That makes me an even bigger fan of yours. Please!! NEVER CHANGE THAT!!!
awww thanks babes xxx
You are right about the water bit, and coconut oil can help, but some people get a bad reaction, it depends.
When my next pay cheque come thru I'm getting all of that 😊
Love your personality too you have a new sub x
aahahaha and thank you x x
your smile is beautiful!!!!! and this vid was helpful so thank u
i went and bought myself some lemon essential oil im excited to see if it works on my black scars hehehe!!
Emily Otto me too baby girl heheehhe hehehehe !!!! ❤️❤️❤️
update us! is it working? :)
sundae ya!?
Update please..
Its defo working on me my marks are slowly fading 😅
Loved this! Super helpful girl :) Just subscribed
thank you!! x x
You need to be applying sunscreen if you're applying lemon essential oil during the day.
Melamine is enough
I mean melanin
Such a helpful video. Thanks for making this. I want to try the black soap and tea tree oil. x
thank youuuuu x x x
Please make sure you use a facial moisturizer with SPF in it because the lemon can make your skin sensitive to the sun.
❤Love you from 🇮🇹!
lmao at the squeeky clean part 😂😂😂😂

honey there are specific measurements for diluting essential oils.... iv bin into essential oils for 3yrs now.
You must do a patch test on a small area of your skin, preferably d inner part of your arm. test before actually using coz ppl react differently to essential oils. it should never sting honey if it does it means you need to dilute some more with a base oil (jojobo oil, grapeseed oil etc)
essential oils penetrate directly into your bloodstream that is why you need a carrier or base oil so as to prevent any immune or allergic reaction.
Please be careful when using them.
they work wonders as spot treatments of course but use with care. stay safe guys🤗🤗🤗🤗
+gloria john Thanks for this ❤️💕

Hey Lizzie, Thanks for your video, I used to suffer severe acne and it's nice to see other youtubers sharing their insights on how to clear it. Great tips, and African soap is the one! Awesome vid!
I loved this video, great tips. Your skin is soo clear & beautiful! I'm definitely going to try the black soap & lemon essential oil.
this video was very helpful, I'm going to try this soon bc I have trouble with acne. love your skin
I've noticed a change in my skin when I went back to using natural products on my skin. I now use black soap to cleanse, tea tree oil to spot tree and black seed oil to moisturize. I'm gonna run and get some lemon oil and see how that works
I'm so thankful for your video

I'll have to try a different brand of black soap, i tried the shea moisture one and hated it lol
Gemini Peterson me too. My skin liked it for a few months and then got use to it. It ended up drying out my skin so I threw it out. Now I use the DuDu Osun black soap and it works well so far.
tlh
Gemini Peterson sis u have to try the DuDu black soap... i had the same issue with the shea moisture brand. Its something in their formula that just didnt vibe with my skin.
+ResilientnBlessed can you use the Dudu Odin black soap on your face?
NaturalGlory • yes, use on ur face and neck and back (if u have acne there). I wouldnt recommend using it on ur lady parts. its an exfultant. I found that out the hard way.
YOURE SO CUTE. I DONT EVEN WATCH RUclipsRS LIKE THAT BUT I CAME ACROSS THIS AND YOU REELLLED ME IN! THANK YOU
Omg is the peppermint oil suppose to make you cry 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm crying real tears!!
I rushed and orderd the lemon oil and african soap i have dark circles hope this will help thanks for this video.
ahahaha im glad x x
Your skin looks great Liz! Do you use the vanity planet with the black soap?
When my Spots come yes!
Thank You!
