Tip for anyone on shrimp! Buy it frozen, not fresh. "Fresh" shrimp is just the same shrimp from the frozen package, but defrosted. So the frozen shrimp is fresher. (Speaking in supermarket terms)
Oh didn't know that ,I'm gonna do that for my next soup . P.s:can you check on my channel please ,im a beginner (thank you if you do and if you don't it's ok ) Thank you for reading this till the end!
If anyone's worried about overcooking them, cook the shrimp with the shell and head on then just peel and clean them afterwards. Cooked shrimp is also easier to peel than raw. The shell also imparts stronger flavors onto the oil which you can use to make a sauce. The head has some juices in them that you suck out of, incredibly flavorful. Or you can scoop them out and put them into the sauce.
I love how you've come so far with your food content and the fact that you steadily put out content through the ups and downs, good and bad. It's actually very inspirational! Keep doing you Lisa!
Here is a little tip. If you use them in a soup (like fish soup) or in pasta, basically every time they are in a sauce, just put them in the hot “sauce” before serving, to warm them up. They will be perfect when you serve them. There is no need to cook them beforehand because they will just get try. Lots of love from Norway 🇳🇴☺️
Looks great!! I loveeee cajun food and make cajun dishes often, if I could easily afford shrimp I’d eat it all the time! This reminds me of the cajun pasta dish at the Rainforest Cafe I loved it SO much that’s why I have recreated it many times over the years lol you could too it’s delicious 😉 thanks for another good one!!
I have been cooking since I was five. And shrimp is 9ne of my favorite things to cook. At first I did have to have my parents there to make sure I didn't over cook them. But now I can cook them all on my own.
@@did.. yeah i know its a joke lol. and the stereotype quite obviously comes from western europeans, not from all “white” people. im from russia, we have a lot of ethnicities here, but they all, including “white” ones, season their food quite well. ps i use parentheses on white because i dont really believe in the definitions like white black asian and such. dont think its a good system to use, very unscientific and antihuman as well. like a lot of ethnicities technically considered white can have dark skin and be marginalised and vise versa. and dont even get me started on the word caucasian.
If I'm boiling shrimp, by the time I start seeing pink, I turn off the heat. I wait another 10 seconds then plunge them in ice water. No one wants to eat an eraser dipped in cocktail sauce. Lemon pepper shrimp and coconut lime shrimp are 2 of my favorite kinds.
Hello Lisa! I have been watching your video shorts since you posted your one of the earliest ramen videos (not the 30 day ramen challenge one though) and I liked the way u showed your way in kitchen and shared your failures and successes. I like watching your videos and it make me think of making food in new way. I saw a Netflix documentary named Salt Acid Fat Heat and remembered abt you. The person in the documentary showed how from just four main components, u could make a delicious meal. I thought that you be interested in watching it. I hope u see it. And if u have seen it, how did u like it? Also, keep up with your videos and you are doing amazing!
Add the shrimp first and then the garlic to get most of the garlicky goodness whilst assuring the shrimp’s cooked to perfection and there’s no burnt garlic pieces
Olive Garden employee here - your shrimp comes frozen. We defrost it in a sanitized sink specifically for seafood, and we pass it to the saute cooks to order.
I didn’t know shrimp was hard to cook. The first time I cooked it, it turned out perfect and it’s been great since. I always just get it frozen. (Because that’s the only way I can afford it).
If youd like to try it anyway, do the same process with chicken breast or sausage. The boys in my house refuse to eat "anything from the sea" so I replace with these 2. Chicken is their favorite, add a splash of orange juice (bottle or fresh fruit).
Lol. Nahh. I woke up and chose life today. And I'll continue to choose life by not eating shrimp, lol. Delicious to most people. Death for me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 im deathly allergic.
WOW! I haven't seen this channel in such a long time but I'm glad it's still here! I've been occupied watching Sulhee Jessica's Channel. She does all of your recipes and so much more she's so awesome and super charismatic 😍

Unless you live on the coast. I live on gulf coast and fresh is actually fresh.

Just a little spice! (Pours the whole container”😅)
she didnt put that much. just the right amount and not the white amount
@@lergia you must think your so clever, but here’s a funny thing, white people can season things too 🤭

Those are the e same shrimp I use. They seem very sweet and exactly what you’d imagine a shrimp to taste like 😂 Gulf shrimp are THE BEST!!
I just noticed Lisa changed her profile picture 😁
Yum ❤❤❤❤
Omg I’m a sucker for shrimp 🍤
Lisa have you tried Indian cuisine?
me seeing these frozen shrimps come deveined, that's very convenient!
How many sets of tongs do you have? 😜 🍤 I love it!! Best videos in the biz. ❤️
Shrimp and prime rib!? I aspire to live your life
Add the shrimp first and then the garlic to get most of the garlicky goodness whilst assuring the shrimp’s cooked to perfection and there’s no burnt garlic pieces
Neat video. One mistake many have is not moving everything in the pan around enough/having the heat up too high and it burns the garlic 😵
How are you not famous
*sprinkle sprinkle sprinkle sprinkle BLEGHHHHHHHHHH*
I actually prefer my shrimp a little more chewy "overcooked"
Olive Garden employee here - your shrimp comes frozen. We defrost it in a sanitized sink specifically for seafood, and we pass it to the saute cooks to order.
The way my mom taught me to cook them is if they make a c they’re cooked if they make an o they’re over cooked
Hey Lisa! You changed your profile picture! Didn’t recognize you for a moment there
Wow 😳😲
Day 45 of asking Lisa to make the best avocado toast in the world
I just noticed you had a new pfp i think it’s a nice change
It’s been two weeks of asking Lisa if she can do a series where she cooks a food from each letter of the alphabet?
I wish I could have some shrimp. But I’m mildly allergic. I’m gonna have a rough time. But I won’t die.
I didn’t know shrimp was hard to cook. The first time I cooked it, it turned out perfect and it’s been great since. I always just get it frozen. (Because that’s the only way I can afford it).

I hate shrimp but I would actually eat this
Avoid Gulf prawns due to a toxic benzene spill. Get the wild-caught Argentine prawns from Trader Joe's instead.

I may be the odd one out, but I do not give a damn if my shrimp is over cooked, kinda like the little bite it gets
