This sounds odd considering the lyrics, but there's something so pure about this. It's dark but tender. I love the production choices that make it sound both warm and immense at the same time.

I think the whole idea of the song is to show that sex is often a part of being in love as well.
@@TacoLlamaYES of course that's one of the aspects, but as you properly already know, Tobias is known that his well thought lyris often not only have 2 but also 3 meanings and that every word and whole phrases and even the way it's performed has it's purpose. He himself didn't gave a full explanation but if you carefully listen to the refrain and take some words that easily could be replaced by using words the fits the narrative of the meaning you mentioned and I also thought of for a long time, the reverence that he is assumed he does make too😬. I need to say that I also didn't really believe it first, but after I was made aware of it, I checked it by myself and it totally makes sense now.

There have been only a few artists that have dared to cover this song. Because it’s very difficult to add to what ghost has already done with it, which is near perfection. I’ve listened to every cover of this song that has come out, and all, and I mean all, have produced a more or less worsened version of the original. Suddenly a song called "Square Hammer" appeared by a band I'd never heard of, called Ghost. Through you I met one of the bands that NEVER LEAVES my playlist throughout the day.
