Great video, Tyler, I really enjoyed the no-nonsense approach, and I wish the rest of RUclips would take some notes. I'm looking to upgrade my stock suspension as cheaply as possible while I collect parts for a full build. This looks to be a very good approach to that goal.
Really nice explanation. I have 392 as well. I upgraded a previous jk with every part in catalog. The factory 392 on road is fantastic and I do not want to lose that. Great job
I have a 2023 wrangler extreme recon rubicon I’m doing your 1” budget lift. I’m going to add 0 to 3 inch fox shocks with the steering stabilizer hopefully it will improve the ride a bit. Take some of the hardness out of the hits that you take on daily driving this will not be used very much for off-road it’s basically for Looks but I want the ride good so for the front sway bar links can I please have a part number or a sway bar link that will work perfectly for us no matter what the brand is. I’ve ordered everything that you have on your budget lift with new shocks. I’ve ordered new (5) Falken Wildpeak 35x12.50x17” tires and surprisingly they are beefier and taller and better looking than most other 35 inch tires especially the stock 315 7017’s that come on the recon addition I’m gonna be a happy camper with a nice ride. I hope . Thanks
Nice review. I do have a question. I’m looking at 3 different options. All factory oem with no mods. Which of the 3 would have the least or most amount of body roll on the street? 1. A std 2024 rubicon with xtreme recon package? 2. A 2024 rubicon x also with the 35’s or 3. A 392 and the 35s? Thanks.
Pls help!!! I recently bought a 04 WJ with 200k. When I go over bumps it wobbles in the back. Is that normal or are the suspension old and I need to replace them? Sorry for the question in a wrangler vid. Love your WJ stuff that’s y I bought one. 👍 if you can give me some tips or advice I much appreciate it.
What do you think of the aftermarket Hellwig swaybar for the rear end on the JL it seems like they have three different adjustment holes for The sway bar link. I seen videos where it claims you get better steering response with this upgrade?
I got a question on the wj suspension. My 04 needs the whole thing replace. Where do I start first becos it feels wobbly over bumps. There’s no dw. Just feels not stable. But I don’t know where to start first becos this is my first jeep. It has 200k so I’m guessing the suspension might just be old.
Any idea of the part numbers for a 2024 Rubicon X, shocks? My shocks are already leaking at 8500 miles. I know it’s under warranty and maybe I should switch to aftermarket shocks.
If the extreme recon has a 1.5 inch lift does that mean that the manufacturer has set the caster properly with the control arms? Or did they just throw a longer spring in there?
Surprisingly, all JL's get the same front lower control arms even the factory XR jeeps! So the longer control arms are definitely helpful to get a little more caster.
I find it amusing that people have so much free time that they watch videos and come up with something unfriendly to say. Why not save money? Perhaps his saving money throughout his years is why he can buy a $100k vehicle.
My use case for a suspension setup like this would be to improve offroad flex/performance as cheaply as possible while saving/collecting pieces for a more significant suspension upgrade. My long-term plans for the 392 include 3 link/double triangulated 4 link. 14" coilovers, an ATLAS, and one-ton axles. However, a build like that will take many months to acquire and assemble, so having a better functioning stock like suspension to use is very appealing.

Keep making the great videos.

Nice video! Would it be possible to move the rear end links up to the front and buy longer ones for the rear?

On your rear I’d also flip your rear swaybar and also add a front Hydraulic Bumpstop it’s worth the 300 to smooth up them hard hits

Love the easy suspension mod. If I did this, does it need a front end realignment?
Yes to be on the safe side

Sissy scope , hopefully this helps you sleep tonight 😂😂😂😂😂

3.6 liter v6
Can you tell me what the 2 inch lift sway bar end link part number is?
The correct part number depends on if you are a 2018-2023 or a 2024 since the front sway bar bolt size changed in 2024
2024 Rubicon X
Is my understanding correct that the extreme recon from factory has a 1.5 inch lift and the 392 has a 2 inch lift

I’m surprised that those shocks aren’t Rubicon Red???
Yeah 392's get silver shocks vs. the normal rubi red shocks
I find it amusing to spend 100k on a vehicle and then look for "budget" upgrades for it.
LOL I just said this to myself as I clicked on it “ you can’t put budget and 392 in the same sentence “
