You don't need to fully understand all this stuff, but it's nice to know why a unit gets certain stats for specific merges/dragonflowers amounts. Also, who will you be using those Trait Fruits on first?

I'll be using those fruits on my Haar so he can reach 54 effectively speed.
I don’t know who I’ll use it on I think I would save them for now
Most likely my (+10) Black Knight for +speed, but will wait for his refine.

I'm probably going to use my free trait fruits on Itsuki, likely +spd. With how I have him set up, he'll be at 55 speed on enemy phase with Brave Lucina in range and Peony blessing.
Now if only I had a spare lull atk/def to give him.
You can always do what I did and make persona boy into a vantage unit
@@Konpekikaminari I'm currently using wrath for now because it came with steady posture 3. Vantage wouldn't be quite as helpful with no dc

@@Konpekikaminari the main reason I want lull atk/def is because it would effectively double the minimum stat bonus from Mirage Falchion (since it always gives +3 minimum)

my -atk + def New Year Alfonse, I was so happy I got a copy, but the traits were awful, he was sort of useable, but awful, now I could switch him from +def to +atk, and gets a whooping +7 to attack (and -4 def), but my what a swing in stats (flaw obviously would go into speed since it's a useless stat for him).
I pulled Bride Michiah and she's rocking +spd/-res. How fun.
I'm using mine for my DuoFonse too! I got him with the same exact IV that you have, and I agree with how much it hurts his performance. Really glad we have a way to fix those now!

Gonna use my IV fruits on my most used units with bad IVs.
I'll probably never gonna have most of them at full merges, so is essential to have their preferred boons and banes, including avoiding super banes if I can't merge them.
I've decided to just save them for now after the prowercreep that happened.
I've been playing this game for over 2 years now. There's ALWAYS powercreep going on. If you're waiting for it to stop, you'll never spend those fruits. You can guarantee the annual CYL events, Feh anniversary events, and christmas banner will do it. That's 3 guaranteed powercreeps per year and I may be forgettimg some lol
I say use this on units whose stat spread mean the most to you. If you don't have a unit like that yet then saving is a good option.
...but don't ever expect the powercreep to stop lol
@@Kurayamiblack When I say powercreep I mean one unit that makes Surtr looks like a poor attempt for powercreep like if they weren't even trying.
Clarisse finally has that +Atk she always wanted for AoE spamming
And it doesn't even affect her Def/Res for the defensive build I use on AR so she's totally fine
Firesweep, debuffs, Savage Blow and a lot of damage is everything I've ever wanted, and now she does it even better~
Using the first 100 Trait Fruit for my +10 Zephiel. Planning on going with an HP boon to make Panic Ploy proc easier and to give overall bulk. A Res boon would likely do the job as well but nowadays there are so many skills in Fire Emblem Heroes that are basically "Oh that's cool you have like...50 Res? Nice, dude, except uh...I'm gonna take away some of those and...Lets pretend that's now 12 Res. Don't worry, that's still manageable!"
I just hope we can get them at a steady pace like we have with grails.
I use my fruit on Brave Lysithea.
The one I pulled was -spd +def, now she's +atk -def.
So if I'm hearing this correctly dragonflowers are the substitution incase you don't pull the same unit you are trying to merge correct?
I'll probably pump my first few Trait Fruits into Clarisse, Legion and Eremiya, so my FE12 Assassins team can finally reach perfection.
@Broly The Sarcastic Savage I mean, does it matter? She's a part of the FE12 Assassins, so regardless of how shit she is, I'm still spoiling her with premium skills and Trait Fruits.
I should probably use my first batch of trait fruits on my +spd B!Edelgard so she can have an actually useful stat boost, but I know in my heart I'll be using them on my Gerome to make him +spd with his super boon, so he can be the speedy axe flier he was born to be.
My first priority will be dancing Ishtar. She can work on mostly fine as is, but that -Atk+Hp IVs are really annoying whenever I face armored units in Abyssal, and I won't be merging her anytime soon due to how rare she is and how valuable Swift Sparrow 3 and Air Orders are.
My next ones will be Xander, Ursula and Legendary Corrin if I somehow fail to get any copies of her in the next banner to clean up that -Spd IV.
Can I request for a video about defensive specials and Shield Pulse? With Negating Fang released a few weeks ago, I think it's time to do it. I think you mentioned something about the description of Negating Fang that seemed to strange, the part about the reset. I know what it means, the effects of Ice Mirror and Negating Fang stack if they trigger twice before you counter (you need to eat a quad by a Desperation Brave weapon for that to happen) and I have a small clip demonstrating if you need it.
So I noticed Flame Emperor gets +5 Spd/-1 Res with a Spd nature (My Flame emperor is +2 +5 Flowers)
First: change my +10 Grail units:
- Naesala (+spd)
- Aversa (+hp)
- BK (+spd, since he use fury 4 with Special Fighter)
- M marth (+atk)
Pretty sure that an easy way around this is to always pick HP- (unless you want HP+ for some reason) if it is a concern to you as HP is always the highest stat and will therefore not affect the distribution order.
+HP is for debuffs mostly

Im thinking about +atk Kronya or +spd flame emperor. the Flame emperor one was an idea of a friend of mine and it rly looks cool. can reach up to 55 spd with the build with amazing bulk ^^

Jeez i'll need an infinite supply of these fruits to adjust all the -atk boys in my barracks... but i'll change first the ivs of the units i use more
A curious thing i noticed with Grail-Units. Tested out on Brunja (or however she's written, blue mage from fe6) and Linus (both +10, 10 dragonflowers, so stats+ should be even).
No matter which Boon i try to give them ,they get +2 in the boon-stat and -1 in two other stats. It seems that Grail-Units keep their summed up stats even if you give them a trait. (also it's only a+2 gain in said stat)
Because they are neutral IV
Neutral IV at +1 merge give +1 to three separate stats to make up for not getting rid of a flawed stat. So Linus would get 1 in HP, ATK and Spd, so if you went +Spd on him he'd take those two points from HP and Atk and simply move them into his Spd stat.
Im spending mine on my hubert who was -spd +def, I've essentially made him a red Ophelia and it hurts to see that -spd
I was thinking on using the fruit on either my -atk Lewyn, +res L Alm or -atk L Celica? I'm leading toward Lewyn cos Celica is appearing this month legendary/ mythic banner and Alm next month after! Getting a dupe Lewyn is just rng now and even then he still good fodder so the only time I would regret using a fruit on Lewyn is getting a dupe that is +atk or +spd!

Wait, so if you give a unit 2 dragon flowers (+1 to HP and +1 to another stat), then change their trait such that they have a new second-highest base stat, could adding more dragon flowers from that point "mess up" the order that they gain stats?
If thats true it could mean two players could have two separate +15 dragon flower units (same merges and traits) but end up with different stats. I imagine the game has to correct for that somehow. Maybe he explained it but I just couldn't understand where he said it @_@
No, the "messed up spread" only counts for units not in +5/+10, since at that threshold there is no "stat up" priority from merges and straight up have 2 (4 for +10) for every stats
So right now my olwen is +3 10DF and neutral. When i want to change her nature it says it lowers hp and speed by 1 and increase atk by 3. But atk is a super boon. Should it not increase by 4?
That might be due to the nuetral merge, which gives 1 extea point to the units 3 highest stats (at level 1) which 3as probably her hp speed and atk.
I'm still struggling to understand how my +atk -def Myrrh's fourth and fifth dragonflowers are speed and defense respectively even though her speed is lower than her defense...
At lvl 1 Myrrh has higher speed than defense. Most things related to the order of stats goes by lvl 1 stats, not lvl 40 stats.

I think Dragonflowers were meant to help older units keep up with newer ones better. The older units have a higher max dragonflower cap. First gen infantry for example can have up to 15 flowers while the new Dimitri can only get 5 despite also being infantry.
That being said, it's hard to call dragonflowers a substitute when they do stack on top of merges when you get them. Bu I don't doubt people who can't get merges use Dragonflowers that way.
