This movie is one of the greatest ever, so I wish more people watched this, and felt how they’ve lived. This Jim’s song would remind us how they live in their time.
These women are excellent! Definitely one of my favorite versions!!! This song is my all-time favorite & this band"s cover is in my top 5. Look up version by Barbara Keith (70's) which was my intro to this song. And checkout instrumental version by Luna Lee.
I'm glad someone else knows about this. Ever since the first time I heard it, it has been my favorite version. No offense to Jimi Hendrix fans. I just cannot seem to get it on Apple music or anywhere else.

Jasmin Tabatabai the only member of the on-film band to play in the soundtrack recordings, IIRC...though probably not the lead guitar here. The musicians of the cast apparently did tour together. Pity this film is so-little seen in the States...title confusion with the historical crime-drama probably doesn't help.
I'm 72 and here's my old man opinion, Dylan wrote and recorded the song on his John Wesley Harding album in '68. It is still the masterpiece that others try to improve on. Again, just my opinion, the best cover of this comes from Neil Young.
One detail I love in this cover is that as non-native speakers, they either don't recognize or can't bring themselves to reproduce the nonstandard English of "I can't get no relief," so they leave out the double negative. They're Bob Dylan lyrics! He wants you to think he's a farm boy from Appalachia instead of a middle-class schoolboy from the Upper Midwest! Embrace the colloquialism, fictional ladies! But it's still a stunning performance.
@@fig7047 In older British English, it goes 'I can not get any relief; none.' Sort of a negative with two different emphases by modern standards. But this was written, as you say, by Bob Dylan; he had his own ideas about words and their meanings. This song is a prime example; love it, in the several versions and re-arrangements I've found.
I like the original too but Dylan did change the way he plays it after he heard the Hendrix version. Btw, what Hendrix did was flip the rhythm around, so it was as much about that then just adding grunge to it.

Terrific! I love hearing this sung by female vocalists.
Song is just as popular now as it was in the 60's.. Glad I was able to see Jimmy in Miami 68...
I saw this film when I was very young and I still love it.
Really great version. Great band. Drummer and singer brilliant.

Barbara Keith kicks ass!!!!!!!!
@@ralphmunn1685 I agree. Still, these girls are good.

I prefer it to jimi too.
Also Bandits was one of my fave movies in my early teens
Well, one cannot argue about taste. Musically is that version way behind the one of Mr.Hendrix!

Wow , I love the guitar player! World needs strong women
Nice feel! Drums are on point.

Why didn't bring the algorithm me to this great cover, until now!!!
Cause of ads probably ;]

I like the U2 version as well, from "Rattle of Hum"
You’re killing it! The best in recent history!
Good,very good...
Good job 👍. The bass smokes !
Wow u girls are killing it nice❤😊
Girls, you rock hard!
I used to own a Fireglo Red Richenbacher 4001 bass....

Bob Dylan is the author of these songs
No shit!
Awwwww yeaaaaaaaa!!!!!🤘😎🤘 ✌💎
Yeah.❤ Beste Versio. Scheiss auf Jimi, Neil und Bob.
Nice they do the original Dylan version.... 👍👌
No. Hendrix 's does the song the other way around ( e.g. F/ G/Am, or C/ D/ Em).
So fucking rocks!!!
I’m dead
Not bad for a movie ;)
Need the video

no relief means any relief here, so it's not really non-standard English. It might not be the Queen's English though!

Bob Dylan wrote this.
Indeed. That's what he did ;]
And Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Neil Young played it.
Very true. And Dylan's favourite cover was Jimi Hendrix's version.

I may be the only one on earth who prefers Dylan’s version over any of the others. Other singers make the song about the music and not the lyrics.

Who are you ?
You mean who?
Super cool arrangement but let's be honest - This is a Jimi cover! Well done.

😂Este cocer se parece mucho a la original de Dylan al contrario de Neil Young y Hendricks que hacen versiones muy originales
Typo
Weil ich wurde immer noch deutsch lernen

She's made a right mess of the lyrics. However the music and singing is very good.
ganz schwach
sorry this isn't good at all
No,its excellent.
Tune that guitar.
Terrible. Static.
Depends ^_-
It's more Bob Dylan-like, the original.
