Was trying Suboxone treatment for fenntanyl addiction in the withdrawals from fentanyl and it was not cutting it but the methadone is working good and it's helping the Cravings a lot 3 weeks sober just taking it day by day tired of oding and spending all that money you made a lot of great points In this video 👍
So true brother I'm detoxing at the moment I get take homes to, bit different in the UK it's free here on the NHS i never went on high dose I was on 70ml now I'm down to 20ml stay strong brother you'll get there!👍

I'm glad my story has been able to be of some help to you! I need to make an update video showing the progress I've made these past 2 years. I ended up going into rehab for 2 months on June 10th 2020. At the time I was sleeping on my mother's couch blacking out on Xanax and taking 160mg of methadone a day. Today I am just over 18 months clean and sober from all mind altering substances except for Suboxone which I take once a day. I have my own apartment, truck, and work 2 jobs 7 days a week making $6K a month. My fridge is always full and bills are always paid on time. I don't say this to Bragg, I say this to show you that success is possible. The place I was 18 months ago seems decades apart from the place I am today. This isn't something someone could force me to do. This is something I had to fully commit to and work hard everyday to overcome. The relapse rate with recovery is a staggering 95% and I've made it my life's goal to be the 5% who truly do recover. I hope your son/daughter is able to find the determination and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve sobriety and success 🙏
@yoniggitslogan You’re truly beautiful and I don’t know you but I’m so proud of you. Recently I’ve been having a lot of thoughts that go something like “this is gonna be my life forever. I feel like a prisoner to my own body. My kids deserve better. I should just disappear.” Sometimes I think KMS would be easier than being dopesick, going thru WD’s and cravings just to turn around and probably relapse anyway. All my money goes to support my habit and it’s only getting worse. I’m a functioning addict. No one around me even knows until I run out and then I’m sick and miserable af. I hate this life so much.. I just want to leave it.

Dont be ashamed of living with your parents. Its common in the United states. Probably not as much in S L. But in my city san Francisco. Its common.

Logan Daugherty, I'm proud of your testimony. Having ran substance abuse groups before, it's incredible how many run away with erroneous conclusions, "haha you are replacing one addiction (heroin, oxycodone, etc) with another addiction" .. but like you said, it makes your life way more manageable and your withdrawals become more tolerable as opposed to painful withdrawals. Thanks for reinforcing that methadone - represents a decent transition to much less milligrams of dosage. I love that you live with your parents as that is normal and very common in Europe or abroad. Dining with your parents and conversing with them creates meaningful connection when possible. God bless your efforts and hope you continue your path to recovery, young man :)
You are right!!! I have been on methadone maintenance for 4 years this September. I have been clean for 3 years this October. I haven't touched another drug or drink since I been on methadone liquid methadone. I couldn't do that when I was using. I am also a Recovery Coach and I have been been one for over a year. If I wasn't on methadone I wouldn't even gotten this far.
@New Life well everyone can be helped but it's up to them to do what's right. I know being on methadone maintenance I was able to have a place to call home, have money to buy things besides waking up everyday running around trying to find a way to get a fix so I can try to get thru the day. I have even been a Recovery Coach as well. It has saved my life but again, it works for some and it doesn't for others. I guarantee that you don't hear people overdosing on methadone maintenance. If you do, it's because one they either again choose to take so much or they have been using other stuff to get to that point. So yes it's sad some people chooses to live their life like that. Everyone has a life it's how they choose to make what they do or want in life. Well, I'm sorry and I definitely will pray for that girl that she gets the help before it's to late. Prayers for her 🙏

@patrickmcfarland5437 mine is doing amazing, I'm still on Methadone and I have had no bad drops, the place where I go only gives you up to 2 weeks and I have been on 2 weeks for awhile now. So, yes to me it's definitely worth everything I have done, I definitely definitely definitely wouldn't trade it for a day in my life. Good luck brother, how are you doing these days?

I jumped off of Suboxone at 16 milligrams it was a nightmare man and it makes me scared to death of methadone withdrawals I want my life back I know that methadone is a hundred percent better than being strung out on pain pills or heroin but I haven't felt right even being on methadone I'm still sick all the time I'm sleepy all the time my mood changes so drastically from good to bad and I will seem the only feel decent for a couple hours after my medicine and then I'm tired and sad through this process I've had terrible stomach issues does seem to be getting better but I don't know man the Suboxone was great so I started getting on high doses and then I started having heart palpitations and getting really depressed and sleeping a lot so stay away from high doses if you are on it longer than you say you will be I was on it for about a year the physical withdrawals took literally four weeks to go away and then depression and anxiety was so terrible and that's why I ended up getting on methadone which was the biggest mistake I could have made for my situation because I was clean if you have any questions feel free to ask

Unfortunately im on a high dose due to relapse after relapse and dose increase after dose increase 😕. Im on 140mg a day. But the average dose here in america is 125mg so im just above the line. Yesss going to the clinic was a major pain when i first started! The clinic i go to now is awesome though i get 6 take homes so i only go in once a week. Glad to hear youve got 4 years bro thats awesome and i can only hope im able to reach a milestone like that 🙏. Thanks for watching!
I just work everyday I can so I don't think about pills or dope..and reward yourself wen u reach a goal even if it's just a pair or shoes man..I had to drop all my homies for a couple years because if I'm around it I'm gonna do it ya know..try to increase ur dose slow as possible man I went up to 120 at the max and taper down just a few mgs each week..you got this bro stay up and get with a good girl that will keep you from being bored..good luck homie thx for sharing

I am! I've been off methadone 9 months now I actually ended up going into rehab for 60 days to get off that and xanax.
Hey bro, im going to methadone clinic for the first time tomorrow. Will i be too sick to work after my first dose? Will i need to take some time off?

I don't smoke blues and I don't inject anything. But I do pop blues (fake percs) it only took me so long to find help because of my job. I'm afraid of being to sick and not being able to work
@TexasASF I'm no one special my dude just another guy living day to day so replying is no biggie. Methadone will really help you it was so nice to not have to worry about getting sick throughout the day. I was on that shit for 5 years and ended up messing everything up and using on top of it which caused me to up my dose. Eventually I was up to 160mg a day and taking a ton of Xanax when I decided to go to rehab in June of 2020. I've been on suboxone ever since and haven't used 1 time. I'm also making $48 an hour operating a tower crane with my own apartment and truck.
If you really commit to being sober and come to hate drugs like I have then life gets so much easier.
@@mrlogand man thank you bro. I've been popping painkillers for 10+ years and just recently like 4-5 months ago started popping the fake percs when I couldn't get the real thing. I'ma tapering on the percs so I go into the clinic with withdrawals so hopefully the methadone works. I'll give an update
@TexasASF I got heavily addicted to the roxies and when they got to expensive I switched to heroin wich eventually led to shooting up and destroying all the veins in my arms over an 8 year period. It's honestly good that your making the effort to get sober before you end up living on the streets shooting fent. I promise you don't wanna get to where I was. I can guarantee you that the methadone will work and you won't get sick. I know it's scary having to go in to withdrawal before they let you take your first dose but that time will pass and you'll start feeling way better as soon as you take that first dose.

You had to use heroin every 2-3 hours? That sounds more like fent man. Off good dope, most people seemed to be straight for more like 6-8+ hours. Just caught me off guard, maybe you gotta quick metabolism though, who knows. Hope you doin better!

She unfortunately stopped uploading about addiction because of too much hate & deleted most of her "drug-videos" but she kept some vlogs I think might be helpful to understand who she is.
And she is 16 or 17 years clean but battling with hepatitis c and dentures issues.
Today her channels are ASMR channel and most taking about dentures, feet but she still help addicts online. She have done it all & you remind me of her, totally honest & courageous,but forget to help yourselves but help others instead.

I truly hope you're doing great. I understand it's hard but NOT hopeless. If she and some family members of my own can become clean after being thrown to the curve and I never thought they'd stay clean or even became clean, but they did, still are so I know it's possible, but not alone!

Dammit you remind me of my nephew but it was too late with him , but I know there are many ways to become clean, and it doesn't help pushing addicts to seek help, but to let them know there are help and there is hope, that's all an addict sometimes needs to hear!

I just don't want to see more people die to this , I HATE drugs. But I know now it's possible to get a new life.

Tried it...... Nowhere near strong enough for me, maybe right for the end of a taper yes
Kratom didn't work well for me. I had to take it several times a day and tolerance builds quick. If I tried to stop taking it I would go into bad withdrawals. It can be helpful in moderation for the first few days of detox but IMO that's it!
The detox is just as bad if u take too much.

I want to know the struggle of getting used to methadone I'm on 85 mg that's as high as I've gotten and I don't want to go any higher on dosage but I feel sick a lot of times and tired all the time at first I did get high off of it but now I just feel okay not great but not terrible I had my first dose of acute withdrawals recently like I can already tell it's going to be worse than the Suboxone was which lasted a month
Ive been on methadone for a little over 2 years now and I learned that everytime i went up 10mg (like from 70 to 80) i felt great but if i relapsed and used on top of taking the methadone then the 80mg would not last as long as it would if i hadnt used. So if your using on top of your dose then you will have to go up. Im on 140mg a day and feel great all day and night. If you take your dose correct then you should feel good continuously as the weeks pass.
Robert Thompson im waiting to take my first dose of suboxone currently cuz im sure u know u have to wait at least 24 hrs til ur dose. I was wondering how long u were on suboxone for? Cuz I plan to only take it for the first week thru get thru the withdrawals then quit it cold turky which is a big risk in itself. All my buddies have told me suboxone and methadone withdrawals are way worse n much longer
@@mrlogand 140mg a day is a high dose, i've got myself down now to about 100mg (not sure where i am as have been going down 1mg a week for a while from 105mg).
I can cope on half that and some weeks will take 3 full bottles (3 days doses) then half the other days so I can make it to my next pickup (7 bottles every tues).
My demon is white/whisky/crack whatever you want to call it but if i go score some of that, i'll get 60€ crack, €10 coke and 30€ h, just so i can shoot part h with coke and smoke the crack because nothing beats a speedball.
I've got 2 years on methadone maintenance too and am mostly clean but i occasionally slip up, this last month i've had a number of relapses but before that it was over 6 months before.

I pray that you find Jesus Christ and get off of it. I was on it for five years and it’s just another medication replacing your opiate addiction. It is hard to get off but I am on day 19 and feeling a lot better than I did on methadone even though I am still in pain. I hope you can come to the Jesus Christ and find him as your savior not a medication or addiction. I used to think it was helping me until I finally had enough.
He is near to the broken-hearted. Please don’t ever say you can’t find Jesus Christ while using methadone.
@@coreycflanagin I never said you couldn't. But he does want us to be sober so eventually you will have to come to him and put your faith in him to deliver you from the sin of addiction. Methadone is a government drug used to keep people addicted. Sorry if you can't understand that or see that. I've been clean for two years going on three it can be done you just have to want it and put all your trust in him. So please don't misinterpret my words. Thanks.
Poor thing is high in this video. That addiction got him so bad that he’s basically still on drugs plus smoking weed. He needs to learn to love himself. He’s not the bullied kid with the messed up teeth he’s an almost 30 year old man.

Havent made any videos since this one. Been busy working im a framer here in Salt Lake City, Utah and have been putting in a lot of hours moving up in this company. Just moving with the flow staying clean doing my own thing. Ill get back into social media here soon its getting warmer so with summer comes warm weather and a better overall mood if that makes sense?

Methadone is a painkiller lol. You're not sober my friend. I hope you do get well. You've been on methadone for 2 years now? Its obviously a problem. You were only supposed to take it to get through withdrawals which last a little under 2 weeks, buttt it's been 2 years!

Thats why it is called methadone "maintenance." Same as suboxone maintenance. You stay on it as long as you need to. Better than sticking needles in your arm. Most clinics want you to be on methadone a minimum of 2 years. There should be no rush to detox off of something if its working, just cuz its a "painkiller."
