I have the cen-tech version 2000 watt. Running off of 5 group 27 deep cycle marine batteries. with 2 gauge wires running from the battery bank. It Easley runs our Keurig coffee maker. It also easily powers a 1500 watt heater. May I suggest you try up grading you wires from the battery bank to the inverter to 2/0 gauge wires. This will ensure max power availability. I also run 4 Harbor Freight 100 watt solar kits through there power hub to the charge controller. For battery recharging. We have used this set up during many power outages here on Cape Cod. I will be upgrading to the 3000 watt Jupiter inverter soon. My current set up is 5 years plus old. I have never had any problems with powering out large screen tv, internet router, laptops or tablets, or cell phones. Right up to a full size refrigerator. Hope this helps answer any questions. Tom
I tried one of these to run my fridge in case of a power outage. Big disappointment! You need a PURE SINE WAVE inverter to run anything with a motor. When I plugged the fridge in the battery voltage dropped to 11.8 and it shut off. During the short time the fridge ran it was noisy and I think the life expectancy was shortened. These modified sine wave inverters are ok for lights and small heaters but that's about it.
I found one of those little red Centrics in a car some tweaker had it in the impound yard I had that for 5 years 700w no problem ran my mom is frigerator in a power outage this Jupiter one only has one socket that works and the USB and since I was in open item and I went camping for two weeks I missed the 5-day return Harbor Freight sucks
You said this will not run your 8,000btu a/c? What are the power needs for that a/c? Also, your passing comment about seeing people run "5000" and it works. What u refering to? A 5,000btu a/c?
My 8,000 btu ac is rated for 7.5 amps I don't know why it will not run it yes on 5,000 btu ac I have seen other youtube user claim this will run there ac unit
I just returned a 1000 watt Jupiter, inverter, it lasted, less tan 1 month, so I was able to exchange it, and get another one, and keep my warranty, I paid for, so I guess I will be using the warranty, in a month, I'm not impressed!!!
When any appliance starts it draws more power than it takes to run. I had these same questions and I am now starting to get a handle on it and the explanations are confusing at times.
powered the inverter with 3 yellow top Optima AGM Batteries + car running supplying 14.4 Volts and still would not power a 1450 watt Kurig coffee maker again its peak is around 1200 watts. Kurig maxed out the meter on the side too.
I bet you ran it to your cigarette lighter input power supply and expected to run New York City Subway Transit Trains at the same time supplying power to your 220 25,000BTU a.c. unit in your 1 bedroom single wide trailer
Thanks for the video. Can you make one of how you connected everything?

I wonder if this inverter ( or 1500 watts) can run a 1 - 2 hp motor on a garage door with only 1 12v battery !?

it will not run a 1450 Watt Kurig coffee maker peak Wattage on inverter is somewhere around 1200 watts.

It will be on all the time but will only be working when power is asked for.
