    You answered many of my questions about installing an inverter. Nice job

    I have had this same inverter in 2 pickups in the back shell. I am adding the 3rd install. Bought 25 feet of #2 fine copper wire and a 100 amp breaker like the one you used on the battery (I will find out if this breaker is big enough soon enough) . I ran both leads to the battery. In the flexible duct I got from Menards. I pre installed the wire in the duct before running it along the frame to the back of the truck. I didn't use sealed conduit as I didn't want it to hold water and freeze. I use mine for all kinds of things. Saws, RV, Dremels, grinders. Only thing I found that didn't like it was a conduct duct wire blower motor that was old. Very handy to have.
    I enjoy your videos. I was a trouble shooter for at&t for 42 years in a service truck by myself and went into as you know all kinds of places, Some good some not so good. I laugh along with you as I see and know exactly what your heading into... smelling those places from the street is disheartening.... Watching you fix the aircon and the furnaces has helped me get a grasp on fixing my own stuff and last week got the AC back on line at our Church Camp. Ant's were in the contactor. Weed eater had hit the thermostat wiring. Always fun. Keep up the good work.

    Nice set up, I have a 2,000 amp inverter in my trunk, powers my wireless printer and microwave since I’m on the road and print paperwork daily. Beats driving to fed ex to pay for printing.

    Klein sells a portable power station, similar to a generator but basically a big battery. Also nice with those no power situations.

    tested the Harbor Freight 2000 Jupiter...Maybe the quality is bad now, I tried three bought on sale. I had one dead, one only putting out 250w and the third didn't put out any more than 600 watts. I used heavy duty cables.

    So the smaller ground is just for reference and don’t need to be connected in a vehicle set up?

    Good thing about using your earth ground to the vehicle is if the vehicle becomes electrified it should trip the breaker in the inverter

    I hav a van and how I keep the dust and dirt out is I open all the doors and windows and use a leaf blower to blow anything that will blow out. Then I make my kids pick it up🙀🙂

    Yes can be a pain to install.. have put a couple in emergency vehicles and you have to get creative on where to install them.. nice job on yours. You could put a high amp celinoid on an put it to key power if you dont want to take a chance on leaving it on..

    • @HVACGUY
      @HVACGUY  2 года назад

      That’s a real worry. I’ll look into that.

      @@HVACGUY you should be able to get a constant use high amperage celinoid and that would be what upI want.. believe they have 200amp available

    If you got usb on the inverter it's probably separate from the modified sinewave anyway. Can charge your tablet or phones makes no difference I would guess.

    • @kCI251
      @kCI251 10 месяцев назад

      A USB port is a 5 volt DC. there is no sine wave on DC voltage only AC.

    I need to set this up in my work truck too, in your opinion what is the minimum Watts needed for a recovery machine?

    • @HVACGUY
      @HVACGUY  2 года назад

      A 1500 can supply over 10 amps on the 120V side. That should be enough, see if you can find a amp rating on you recovery machine.

    • @cesarmoore7996
      @cesarmoore7996 2 года назад

      Yes I have the G5 twin and it’s FLA 10 amps, thanks!

    • @HVACGUY
      @HVACGUY  2 года назад +1

      @@cesarmoore7996 remember watts = VxA. So, 1500 watts converts to 12.5 amps at 120V
