more reasons to love decal machine. thank you. teaching people they can learn and earn. selling, sharing decals and even just a simple inspiration to create/design is really big stuff as always. goated
Cool to see how your mind is working. I'm getting there with the hard surface but something is 'missing' from most of my designs. Interested to know how many of these decal packs and stuff people are selling every year. Could really use an income boost.
Amazing tutorial as always !!! Im working for a big Marine technology brand and i have to design our next outboard. It as to be modern and a bit futuristic but im struggeling with the shape mostly with the curves. Which tutorials of you or Blenderbros can you recommand me? I really like the way you and Josh think and explain things!!
Cheers mate, well it depends on what exactly you are going for, if its really curvy you may need to go subd, but there are other techniques. We'd need to visualise what you're after first. I'd recommend hitting our discord or membership (which has a private dedicated discord group, currently the door is open but it closes this week). hit me up on discord if you have questions
Great video @PonteRyuurui. I have been making trim sheets after buying your course. When rendering trimsheets with grabDoc, is it possible to actually use decals from decal machine in those trim sheets? I have never figured out how to get it working, presumably because it's just a viewport render?
@@PonteRyuurui thanks. I actually bought that course already and wondered why decals were not used for it. I experimented and tried but came to the conclusion viewport rendering doesn’t show the decals so it can’t work. Just making sure I wasn’t missing something. It’s a shame floating geometry can’t be used as the curvature and height maps won’t render desirably.
It would be really useful to a see a tutorial on how to export the decals on a game engine or in texturing programs like substance painter, i like using decals but i don’t really know how to use them outside of blender. I’ve watched some of the Machin3 tutorials but they are not really clear, your videos always help in this kind of situations. For example, can i use decals blender then texture the model with decals on substance painter? I haven’t found a lot of videos on this Thanks
I think Josh has some vids on this on his channel, also our game asset course 2.0 teaches it, you could snatch it now, we have an event going on till 25th
Why the color on the emissive decal material is lighter than the one you’ve chosen in blender? You’ve chosen an orange color but in the final result is like yellow

Love your videos.
Superbly done Ryuu, thanks for another great tut'.
Super good as always, thanks for sharing.
Great video as always! And thanks for sharing that one can make a bit of money on making decals!

No. I'd suggest grabbing our A-Z environments with trim sheets course. That one goes in depth on trim creation

Great video as always. Your title could do with a few commas though. ;)
the slow down the reading
I have previously purchased your trim sheets and decals, are these safe to use in commerce?
sure, just dot resell them
Are you doing anything with the tiger in the thumbnail? Would love a tutorial! (even if paid)
i modleed it few days ago, havent recorded it though
@@PonteRyuurui It's beautiful, would love to see more of it!
It would be interesting to know the right way how to implement decals in UE
atlas maps
Please make or recommend tutorials for modelling without using addons
Thanks
hell no, stop wasting your time and get the addons
@@PonteRyuurui But those addons are paid and I have not earned anything from Blender as yet. Is there any free addon for the task?
Sir
Thanks

ah shit not out yet lol, it will be out next week
