    thinking of getting the phatlines for my erbe. want some onroad tires as I don't want to wear my trenchers on pavement. looking for something similar to 2.2 anacondas (for the mini revo) - sadly they don't make them for the big revo as well.
    the only thing I don't like about the phatlines is that they are quite thin compared to road rages so less impact absorption on the bumps and more load on bearings
    btw I've had 2 sets of pre-glued 40 series Big Joes for ERBE (one half worn came on the used truck I got) and they were impossible to balance and would shake my truck a lot. Then I tried the 3.8 TrencherX (not preglued) and I've narrowed the foam a little, cut the inside edge, taped them with gorilla tape and they balanced with so little putty for such big tires I couldn't believe it. No ballooning and no crazy vibrations so I am very happy with them. Guess if I mounted the big joes myself and do it properly it would be a lot better but I like the trencher x tires more anyway.
    With big joes it was a tank but it was kinda boring, would not slide sideways at all, would just flip if there was too much force. The trenchers have almost the same forward traction but they do slide sideways a bit and also the half offset desperado wheels add stability so it's a lot more fun than big joes on tech5 while having almost the same offroad capabilities.
    and btw 30 degrees celsium is cold to touch, your body temp is 36-37
    anything below 75-80 is acceptable for the motor, ideally 60-70

      All great info - Thanks for sharing the info.
      I think the question I got out of here was on the the Phaltlines compared to the Road Rages. To answer the question, the Phaltlines are simply amazing and hold up a lot better from a traction and balance perspective when compared to Road Rages - I would highly recommend them without any hesitation.
      Hope this helps :)

      Thanks Gamer!
      They Phaltlines are Amazing Wheels. I have run them like none other and they still hold up like they are Brand New

    I run the big joes on my Summit... They are VERY "grabby" ... You have to watch the throttle on asphalt and concrete... But on dirt.. man they make the truck boogie... *safety tip* they will throw rocks about 75 yards behind the truck... and they hurt :)

    I actually would want the axial rim with the trencher X but I'm not sure if they would work much less handle 6s power

      +Bornindafire - The Trencher X would be The Best option for that power and 1/8th Scale Monster. They are super light and tough as nails on any and every kind of terrain. Will last you a long long time :)

    thanks for your response .. do you know if the trencher x and the standard trench share the same rims ?

    First off great review i have an e revo brushless drive on and some off road I am torn between the phaltlines and the 40 series road rages on axel bead lock wheels please help thx

      Thanks Luis!
      As for your question, without any doubt in my mind - You need to go with HPI Phaltlines. They will last a lifetime and and are light years ahead of the Road Rages in every aspect.
      Hope this helps :)

    Thanks! So you don't find ballooning much of an issue with 4S/5S power with premounted prolines?

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  10 лет назад

      Hey Buddy! You're Welcome.
      As for Ballooning, I have to be honest that it doesn't bother me one bit. Funny enough, I kind of like the way the Tires turn to Pizza Cutters :)
      To answer your question though, the Big Joes that I've mounted on the Axials ballon pretty much as much as any pre-mounted. I almost feel like the Pre-Mounted Trenchers balloon a bit less.

      @MrMcMiniMidgetMan 10 лет назад

      Thanks, it's just that I'm a terrible gluer with the big Pro-Line 3.8 size foams, I taped my Mashers but they are so badly glued I want to unglue them and try again, they do not balloon at all though.

      MrMcMiniMidgetMan I would just out O-Rings on what you can. It really saves you the time of taking the wheels off and on. They work like a charm

      Je recommande vivement le Proline Trenchers (1/2 Inch Off-Set Pre-Mounted Wheels) que je montre dans la vidéo. Ils sont probablement les meilleures roues que vous pouvez obtenir et sont beaucoup de plaisir.
      Merci pour votre très gentil commentaire sur ma vidéo

    Compared to stock Thunder Tiger mt4 g3 tires, are the big Joe's and trenches taller and wider ?
    How do they compare size and weight wise. I bought mt4 g3 tires for my Ofna Nexx8T 1/8 scale truggy. Using Hitec tg7555 servo. Was concerned they would be too big, but I gave a powerful engine lrp.30 spec2.
    Trying to do a modified truggy / truck thing...
    You think the Proline bug body would fit the Nexx8T ???

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  10 лет назад

      Compared to the Stock MT4 Tires, both the Big Joes and The Trenchers are the exact same height but definitely wider.
      As for the Nexx8T, I would shoot Proline an email or give them a call to see which one of the VW Bug Bodies would fit as I don't own a Nexx8T so it's a bit hard for me to confirm the fit. Alternatively, if you know the size specs for the 8, you can compare it to the MT4 on the official website and see if it's roughly the same.
      The largest VW Body is the E-Revo/Revo one and that usually fits just about any 1/8th Scale RC - at the most, you'd need to make a few mods when trying to align the posts when you adjust the body.
      Hope this helps

    Hey, do the beadlocks hold the bead well on 5S power? Thanks.

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  10 лет назад

      Hey Buddy,
      They actually hold up very well, better than I would have thought. The Video of Mine titled "MT4 G3 with Big Joes on 5S" is Running this Combo on them.
      I would buy these wheels if you're someone who likes to switch up their tires often and doesn't want to go through the hassle of gluing and ungluing all the time. They're extremely light as well

    which tires would you recommended for a XL flux. trenchers or trencher X ? thanks in advance

  • @TrickedOutRC23
    @TrickedOutRC23 10 лет назад +1

    What are your thoughts on the trencher x on mt4 g3? Worth it or not worth it over the stock tires? I like the stock tires but I always liked pro-line trenchers for off-road. Thanks.

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  10 лет назад

      The Stock Tires are quite honestly the Best Tires I've run on any RC from a durability and overall handling perspective.
      Second to those or actually equal to them would be The Trenchers X. The reason I personally like the is they look amazingly aggressive and they handle brilliantly while giving a Real Monster Truck look. Surprisingly, they're also really light.
      Everyone has their own preference but I always recommend getting them Pre-Mounted. They're probably my favorite for MT's in the Proline lineup.
      Hope this helps Buddy :)

      The Trechers work Brilliantly and Surprisingly Extermely Light as well.
      I recommend Running the RC8 Wheel Extenders (make sure you don't buy the narrow ones) The description and link to them are in My MT4 G3 1-Year Review Video

    Will trenchers 3.8 fit TRMT8E? what exactly i need to upgrade it.Also is there any better or slightly bigger tire(height) out there like k-Factory 3.8(which looks bigger than trenchers 3.8)? Appreciate your help!

    Hey RC MANIAC, can you help me?
    I am looking for new tires for my Hobbyking Nitro Circus MT 1/8Scale...which tires would you recommend ? I am not Basher...mostly Trailing over Rocks or roots (especially in wet conditions) Some people recommed the Trenchers or Badlands but then there's still the tires from Thunder Tiger Traxxas RC4WD and etc. I'm completely overwhelmed with the selection of tires.

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  10 лет назад

      Hey Buddy - That's a great question and there really are two great options that you are already considering.
      The first being The Badlands and the second being The Trenchers.
      Both are equally great but I would not recommend the Badlands if you're going to be on the Street or Pavement as they'll lose tread much easier than the Trenchers.
      For crawling and most trek like terrain, I would recommend the Badlands but for multipurpose terrain I would go with The Trenchers.
      Also to consider is the face that the Trenchers are significantly wider than the Badlands as well.
      I would recommend Trenchers for two reason. 1. You never know when you might want to punch the throttle and 2. It can handle any and every kind of terrain. The best part is that they come premounted as well. Let me know if you have more questions and I'll be happy to answer them.
      Hope this helps :)

      RC MANIAC - BASHER RC
      These tires will never see asphalt, pavement or any type of hard ground..only roots, rocks and loose ground on the trail.
      My plan is modify the tires like I did in my this video: ruclips.net/video/EQKItYp_UJM/видео.html but this time with real beadlocks.
      BTW: The airfilled tires are a huge improvemet. Would be nice to see a similar Video from you..

    • @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc
      @taimurutube-rcmaniac-basherrc  9 лет назад

      Definitely - Though if you're planning on running 6S and you're a repeated backflip fanatic, then I would go for the pre mounted Prolines.
      I run these on 6S and Bash like I'm trying to set rot my MT's and they still hold up.
