The first question I always want to know about any rookie is who coached him in college? Anthony Grant is one of the best college coaches in the game & he also coached in the NBA with Billy Donovan at OKC. He runs a ball continuity screen offense which means that in addition to the obvious athleticism, this kid already knows how to set & move off screens & defend them. In Malone's offense that's critical even though he runs motion as his basic concept instead of structure. He's a very willing defender with the physical traits to guard the 5 spot for short stretches but Booth already made it clear at his presser that he's a 4 in their view. Don't sleep on the idea that Ismael Kamagate is a Nugget this year. If he shows just a bit more on the offensive end in summer league he might be the backup to Joker on this roster.
They should be a warning label on highlight videos. Adam nailed it on Ryan Dunn. He looks like a clone of P-Wat, and you can't have too many 3&D players like him. They're like DL in the NFL. However, i just saw his highlight reel. There is a reason why he's not rated higher, it's his shooting or lack of it. If we could walk away w/DH & RD. That would be cause for celebration.
I'm on the Hunter Tyson island. Regular season bench lineup; Pickett, Strawther, MPJ, Tyson, JoKic. READY shooters and P-n-R EXPERIENCE with Picket and Joker.
If they keep this 1st round pick and the guys they picked last year, and if they stay under the second apron, it’s all down to Malone adapting and playing young guys. It will be a major adjustment for him, hope he can handle it.
It is easier to play veterans and then label the young guys as not good enough. Jokic`s on-court action based leadership has made Malone lazy. Popavich has commented on how easy it would be to coach a Jokic led team.
Dunn would be a great pick. Offense starts with defense and Jokic gets everyone he plays with a lot of easy shots his offense will be fine and his game transfers to the post season.
The bench had a great defense but the 2nd worst offense in the league. If you literally can't make shots, defense is pointless vs Luka/Giannis/KD scoring 25 in 2 minutes
Huff was not ready, clearly. If you really think a guy who played about 5 minutes of basketball in the NBA would have been the difference maker in the playoffs, you're smoking some great weed. That said...he's in development with Malone. He has skills. He's a UTR talent but I won't be surprised if he becomes a Hartenstein type player. Also...Ismael Kamagate is coming sooner or later, & it could be this year.
This kid is way more developed than Zeke was coming out of college. Aside from playing 3 years instead of the 1 that Zeke had, he just has a vastly more developed offensive game & he was coached by one of the best college coaches in the game in Anthony Grant.

Draft picks? Ok, Can't go into the season without an experienced ball handler & a big. Somehow, someway, without breaking up the starting 5.
Meant to write another ball handler & big man
I doubt DaRon Holmes will be available at 28. Feels like he’ll go in the 15-25 range
Dude I love Ajay Mitchell. He’s better than picket
Can we draft some sunscreen for adam?
If they played Jay Huff we woulda got passed the wolves

The chances there is a team out there who likes Zeke on his contract is not 30% it’s more like 0.3% 😅
I will trust Adam's basketball IQ but i think Holmes will struggle in the NBA...he lacks footwork and explosiveness....Dunn looks interesting
I think if Holmes played Zeke one on one it would be close, that is not who we need right now. He looks raw not enough ball skills yet.

Sad to see 12 day old content, since the Nuggets have bailed on the fans……🙃
Guy for what?
Dunn`s upside is huge...Holmes is a misdirection.
