Dino enthusiast here. Let me explain: Allosaurus is single-handedly the most numerous dinosaur we find in Late Jurassic rocks within the Morrison Formation. Easily. The number of Allosaurus we'll find in a given area out-number other Late Jurassic Carnivores such as Ceratosaurus and Torvosaurus by a factor of 7.5 to 1. In the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in Utah, we've found anywhere from 44 to 60 possible individuals of Allosaurus alone. The majority of the Allosaurus we find in these fossil sites are juveniles and sub-adults, I.E: Not fully grown. On top of this, a lot of the individuals in the formation, particularly the younger ones, seem to have evidence of being eaten by bigger Allosaurus. Whether or not they were killed by the bigger adults, or adults simply found dead juveniles and scavenged on their corpses hasn't really been tested and right now is anybody's guess. Because of this, scientists have generally taken two different stances: 1) The Allosaurus bonebeds are locations were Allosaurus juveniles, fresh from leaving the nest and setting off on their own, were ambushed by Adults after being led there by the smell of their kills, almost in a similar vein to juvenile Komodo Dragons being killed by adult Komodo Dragons after being lured to their kill sites. 2) The Allosaurus bonebeds are accumulated Allosaurus packs and families that were forced to cannibalize one another out of sheer desperation as a result of a particularly bad drought that affected the region during the time these animals lived and sub sequentially died there. (During the time of the Late Jurassic, the Morrison Formation's paleo-environment was basically the Jurassic equivalent of the African Savannah. An open woodland subject to periods of drought. No grass though, that hadn't evolved yet.) Both theories are equally plausible, so it really just depends on who you ask. It is worth pointing out though that even if these bone-beds were just kill-sites for adults to prey small juveniles, that actually doesn't eliminate the possibility of cooperative hunting in Allosaurus. Crocodiles and monitor lizards will both cannibalize smaller individuals if given the chance, but they also are remarkably intelligent animals capable of cooperative hunting even with unrelated individuals of their own species. Hell, even certain species of sharks will work together. There's little doubt in my mind that an animal that's lived on our planet on a global scale (Allosaurus lived in both Europe and North America) for 10 million years like an Allosaurus would absolutely be capable of the same. Sorry if I overloaded you with information, but your confusion at 1:20 piqued my interest, and I just had to share what I know.
heres my take: allo should be a fast, ambush bleeder with lower stamina. it should use its claws to deal damage and bite to add a massive bleed. alberto should be a more robust brawler, faster than a rex but slower than allos. while allos should work in packs, alberto should be a better solitary fighter, hunter and survivor, maybe going in groups of 2 adults rather than 4-5 most of the time.
I know adding a comment to a 4 month old video will likely end in vain but eh, screw it. Personally I’m fine with allo being an ambusher as it’s real life counterpart was thought to be an ambusher. However I think something they could do for alberto is make it kinda like cerato, where instead of actually being a threat, it’s more of a problem dinosaur. It’s not something that anything higher in tier will have to worry about, but it’s strong enough to make anything in it’s tier or lower to second guess attacking it. Honestly I’m just going to quote sound smith here because although he’s a tf2 RUclipsr, his analogy for the force-a-nature scout works for alberto. “It’s loud, annoying and will definitely shove you around a bit. But the second he comes up against someone bigger than him, he’ll be out of there faster than the demonetization on this video now that I said piece of shit.”
I do like the idea of Alberto having a bone break attack. Maybe one different from its main so that it requires a charge up like in Path of Titans or can only be used while performing in an ambush. That way it’s niche could be that of Sub Rex since you can’t pause your growth as you could on legacy.
It’s a wonderful idea better then the actual concept of albertosaurus being a bad parent stupidest concept right next to para albertosaurus should be an execellant parent and should be the Wolf of dinosaurs and the coyote of trexs
If that’s the case it would just be a smaller Rex, also simply being a tyrannosaurid shouldn’t grant you bone break. From what I’ve seen it’s bite force isn’t that stronger than allos.
_Allosaurus_ and _Albertosaurus,_ by word of Paleontologists, share very different hunting methods in conjunction with their ecological backgrounds. Though it is possible for this Jurassic theropod to hunt smaller prey, that is more or less common amongst the youngsters. In addition to being an ambush hunter, carnosaurs like Allosaurus supposedly weren't as socially adept as their tyrannosaurian cousins--being Coelurosaurs--which primarily is a common trait between the group of hollowed-boned reptiles. Let alone do they share the same build up. Unlike the equally balanced Allosaurus, Albertosaurus is far more nimble, evolving longer legs which enable them to sprint at higher speeds. The Canadian fossil records also carries proof to species like Albertosaurus coexisting in small families/packs. Moreover, as a tyrannosaur, it's biteforce is 10x stronger than that of any Allosaur. Therefore, in the scenario some user encounters an Albertosaurus, it's better to stay clear of them upon former retrospect--if Dondi doesn't equip the Allosaurus with a slashing mechanic.
Albertosaurus is a Powerful but Fast Pursuit predator. I think it could be like Modern Day African Hunting dogs where they're designed to chase down a target over immense distances, Maybe having a certain kind of run that allows it to keep up with a pack and slowly regain stamina as it's running and each member takes turns trying to catch up to the prey item. Edit: Ah you actually talked about this for allo. That was a nice surprise lol. Personally I think an endurance/pursuit hunter would be great on either animal since both are known for being runners
Allosaurus developed plenty of features that were suitable in ways of preying upon larger and smaller game like Apatosaurus, Camptosaurus, and Barosaurus. Speed, Durability, Intelligence were among the few highlights of their 10 Million Year rule. Although the kinetics require more testing, there is not reason to dismiss or mock the possibility of an 10ft tall Allosaurus pouncing/climbing onto the back or neck of a 16ft tall sauropod. They may not have hollow bones like their Coelurosaurian cousins but nimble maneuverability was something of their forte. In any case, it's Evolutionary success is comparable with that of Tigers.
alberto should be an endureance hunter because it had fused ankel bones which is an adaptation for speed and endureance, also alberto probably had a stronger bite than allo so it fits more as an african wild dog analog, allo should be the lion or leopard and carno the cheetah.
I think Alberto only being able to bone break when in ambush would be super cool but make the ambush take like 10 seconds to start up so it couldn't overuse the bone break and had to be a precise ambusher.
Honestly this is some of the best isle Contant I’ve watched in a minute mostly everything is just negative and complaining but you actually give constructive criticism
Allosaurus’s strengths are it’s surprising speed and ambush capabilities, so they will definitely be in forests and tree lines with its superior ambush timer
I think the solution is to make Alberto faster and have him do more raw damage etc… but make allo more agile, have better bleed and better stamina. Which is both realistic/ accurate to the real animals, and fair. Allo had a strangely flexible jaw which allowed it to open its jaws to a much wider degree more than anyother theropod. But it had a quite weak bite force because of it. So Alberto should be a much heavier hitter lb for lb. And faster in a straight line. But allo being a good bleeder combined with great agility (awesome turn radius) and a huge stamina pool, would balance these two out. So neither has an unfair advantage over the other and player skill is the deciding factor in confrontations. Alberto can chase down allo and do much more damage, but allo can bleed Alberto out and outpace him in stamina and agility. But Albert can also flee as it’s faster. So I think it would end quite fairly.
@Sim6dot9, That could work too. Although I think giving Alberto less agility is more fair if we are going to give it a stronger bite and thus more raw damage. Giving Alberto good speed but with a less efficient turn radius, I feel makes it a viable playable in regards to being able to realistically successfully hunt other animals, and also make it balanced at fighting others in its weight class without being OP. Because we already know allo will get the extremely fast ambush ability which increases its speed for short bursts. But having allo be too fast AND a bleeder combined with that ambush speed ability I think might be slightly OP. But I could be wrong. Idk. Especially if it’s going to be a packing dinosaur. Imagine 3 allos who run fast as hell out of the gate (much faster than you), bleed you like a sun of a gun, have grappling (as shown in its concept) AND also have a fast standard sprint. That’s why I think allo being slower than Alberto but being more agile works a little better overall. That way both animals are viable but not OP. I think Alberto being able to turn on a dime and also do heaps of damage in one bite would make it a nightmare and possibly OP. But him being able to catch stuff in a straight line and do heaps of damage m, with the major downside being he isn’t good at matching fast turns so prey can dip around and realistically escape, makes him a little more fair. But I could be wrong. As long as both animals are fun to play and are balanced, I’m happy no matter which way they do it.
Its a pretty descent idea but you gotta remember that allosaurus was a predator built for speed. And even if its gonna have an ambush, its gotta be a quick fighter to do so. Albertosaurus is obviously stronger. I don't think making it faster than allo is a good idea. And considering the fact that he seems to look more of a brawler like mid tier to the the others and the fact it has a stronger bite force won't make it fair for allo. Allo having the better agility is a good idea but at the same time, without its speed it won't be able to run away from the Alberto and would only rely on its ambush to make it faster but it would remain for a short period of time in a fight and would probably get over powered more easily regardless of how much it outpaces it. For me, allo should be faster. and agility between the both is equal. If Alberto doesn't have a good turning radius, then it won't be able to manoeuvre as many dinosaurs. And even if the stats were meant to be as accurate as possible like irl, palaeontology has shown that allosaurus is also faster. It can run to speeds up to 55km/h while Alberto can only run to about 21km/h. I think both having equal agility is a pretty much the best for these similar sized mid tiers because they both would have their own way of fighting. Its basically strength vs speed, bite force vs bleeder and brawler vs ranger but both also have equal agility and won't have to worry too much about outpacing each other and can still bite hurt each other. Also, the allosaurus ambush strike and pin down mechanic in the concept art will most like work on nearly any creature that's under the allosaurus' weight or is smaller. So even if it did try to use the ambush on albertosaurus, the most it would do is damage it and maybe slightly push it back. But yeah, both would not be overly op and will be actually make it fair for them, both with different play styles and having an equal turn radius so that it would be a close fight and be more entertaining. It would also make the fight go either way since both are polar opposites in fighting styles but have an equilibrium in pace. But I could be wrong about this, lets just see what happens then I guess. I do like your idea though, quite an interesting way to execute these two kick ass predators.
Love your vibes dude. Hearing the passion in your voice made me excited for this game again. In a Future video you should talk about the impact of strains on the isle. Then talk about whether only a few carnivores, or some carnivore and some herbivore, or every creature should get strains. Finally for a bit of fun maybe envision a new strain or the impact of a certain strain on a specific creature.
I just want to say because this isn’t as well known. Allosaurus and ceratosaurus did live and compete with each other so having them fighting each other in the concepts makes sense
I absolutely agree about Albertasaurus and Allosaurus having different niches. But me being the smart ass I am realized that tyrannosaurs like Alberta and T. rex itself have block like meta-tarsals that let them run for miles but hey who am I to judge. Love your content m8, if you do see this have a good day
Allo should be a ambusher, preferring groups of 3 or 2. They are big game hunters using its muscular forelimbs to grapple onto opponents, and extremely bleeding based type bite with not much raw damage in its bite, with its forelimbs being its main damage source. A pack of allosaurs are extremely affectionate towards fellow packmates, caring for eachother like family and letting the youngest or sickiest eat first, or they eat together. However they are not scared to fight tooth and claw with other unknown allosaurs for territory and food Alberto is a endurance hunter, with occasional ambushes. Judging from the concept art, they are quite social, hunting medium sized game such as kentro and diablo. Alberto is all about the big damage using those powerful beartrap jaws, focusing on raw damage instead of bleed. However, unlike the Allosaurus, they are not quite affectionate towards eachother, having a social structure like todays lions, with extremely violent infighting commonly breaking out when food is involved possibly resulting in the death of another packmate due to them stepping out of line. The dominant male eats as much as he wants first, without caring if the others eat or not. However, regardless, they are quite tactical pack hunters.
I agree with you here, but I would switch it around. Make it so allo is the ambusher with its ambush ability and make alberto an endurance hunter with no as much speed, but lots of stamina to back it up. This would also make a lot of sense when you take a look at their models.
From my point of view all should hunt smaller prey being a solitary hunter also to be faster and then for alberto to be a family hunter hunting stegos, camaras, trikes together also being slower
Great ideas. But… Honestly, I think you have it backwards. You brought up the difference between lions and wild dogs hunting strategies. But Allo has been called the ‘Lion of the Jurassic’ for a long time. So it should be more of an ambush Hunter. And we know that smaller Tyrannosaurs were pretty good specialized runners. So they should be the ones able to run their prey down over time.
Imo Allo should roll in packs of like 5 or 6 adults max and focus on using its arms to grapple with prey, making it easier for their mouths to inflict heavy blood loss. Alberto groups are slightly smaller, and they focus on ambushing victims with surprising bursts of speed, followed by many destructive chomps in rapid succession. Allos have endurance, numbers, and teamwork. Albertos have speed, size, and power. Allos should be able to chase down or escape Albertos, unless the latter gets the jump on the former.
big packs of allos will allow it to actually hunt large prey, like stego who needs something to be worried about. from what the devs have said, alberto will get some special attack if you get up close with it. so it could ward off allos getting too close
Here's how to separate them, allosaurus was large, but it had a weak bite force and was built for speed, allosaurus should be a pursuit "pack" predator that drains the victims health over a decent amount of time, it should also have decent bleed. Albertosaurus was heavier and taller, it also had a much stronger bite but it's teeth were blunt and used for crushing, Alberto should be a ambush predator using high speed and a strong bite to take out victims quick and easy Path of Titans has already solved this issue with daspleto and allo, dasp is slower, but has higher damage and bonebreak, it also has lower stamina, allosaurus is faster has lower damage but has bleed. Tyrannosaurids are built for damage, allosauroids are built for bleed
allo strikes me as a much better short burst sprinter/ambusher than alberto, since its grapple allows it to pinnacelize on ambushing things via grabbing hold and ending the chase, as well as that lets it use its high speed in short bursts for hit-and-runs against larger animals, using its grapple and bites to bleed them out meanwhile alberto is a bit tougher but uses its good trot speed and scent to endurance hunt in family groups, and possibly light fracture to slow things down in chases
To me this should go like the TRex and Giga, but in a lower weight class, allo runs for longer, does more bleed, has a grapple or a claw attack cos of those shreeded arms, but does less dmg, while the alberto is beffier, does more dmg, tankier, maybe has a bonebreak attack, but is slower and cant run as long.
best would be in alberto and cerato lived in the forests with cerato also going out for corpses and Allo and carno lived in the open area Also alberto to show that they are bad parents like they showed in the consepts they could make it so max pack size is 2 of the species and not 2 adults and children While Allo should be able to make packs (not so realistic but it should differentiate them more) with Allo having alot of stam and being fast while alberto could be very silent to launch ambushes and have a very strong bite
first congrats for ur 1.5k sub !!! second ( my opinion will be based on the dev's concept , me 2 i wouldn't give alberto such a big neck ) : The allo limit pack should be around 4 ( five is too much i think ) and have a hunter / pursuer gameplay so that he can use its good senses ( hearing for instance ) and average bite force to kill small prey (why not medium size prei if u feel confident enough ) where as he should relie more on his claws when you are hunting in pack a med + / large prey and apply more bleed this way . I also think the allo should have a long hunger maintain time and ok stamina because he'll have that insane scent capcity to keep its prey on the hunt , so you are following it but not at close range , and even if ur prey runs , the bleed will do the job . Now the alberto ( still based on the concept ) should be an ambush-brawler , what i mean is that it should be more comfortable at ambushing ( wich mean high bite force / low stam ) but in the same time he should be good at brawling if the situation needs it and attack the neck of the enemy ( i forgot the name but like the T.Rex attack except without the bonebreak )
Well this is a bit simpler, personally the most simple way to differentiate them is to make allo a endurance bleeder/ambushed and make alberto a permanent sub rex of sorts
This is my idea for Alberto: After Alberto reaches either juvi stage or sub stage, it's horns will start building up bacteria and moss. (Similar to cerato but without the eating part) Once it has builded up enough moss, it will be able to scratch its horns against whatever it's hunting, causing its stamina to be drained (how much stamina it drains depends on the amount of gunk) and if charged up enough (also I should note this isn't a running charge attack like carno. It can be stationary or walking) causes x2 the amount of bleed that a normal bite would do. I think that Alberto should be an endurance hunter and have the best stamina of any mid-tier carnivore, but also be relatively slow compared to other herbi's and carni's.
The way I think of it is: Alberto: High base dmg, (some fracture dmg included) speed and weight ( not a tank but tough cuz its pretty big). Below average stats: bleed, stam, stam regen and bleed heal. Average stats: Alt attack speed, attack speed, bleed resistance, scent NV range, food/water drain and average growth for its size. Mby slightly faster growth for it's size if its gona have a hard time growing. Allo: Allo: High bleed dmg, its ambush ability will be very fast, stam, NV range and HP/ locked HP heal. Average stats: Weight, dmg, speed, stam regen, alt attack speed, attack speed, food/water drain, scent range and growth speed. Below average stats: Bleed resist and bleed heal. ( It will have to be careful not to take to many hits as it can get back the health necessary to go back in but its vulnerability to bleed will make Allo players have to play smarter and not just. " Oh well, dosent matter il just face tank, disengage and heal.") It might be a bit contradictory to give it high HP regen but not bleed Regen as those might just clash. I just think allos aside from fracture dmg )which would prevent them doing it.) Will have it to easy if they can just land some hits and heal up.
I'll go through my idea's for these 2 baddass carnivores (I know this comment is 5 months late but screw it) The way I see it for the 2 is that they should be super equal in stats and abilities because of the fact that you said that all of the mid tiers should all have their own special abilities which I couldn't agree more with. In allo and alberto's case they should have almost completely different play styles yet be so equal when it comes to their stats and abilities. They are relatively same size and weight and their damage should be really close. I'll explain. For allo the way the isle shows it play style for it is amazing. Its ambush would be extremely fast and can catch up to many dinos for a short period of times and would be an amazing combatant with its devastating bleed since its attacks will be pretty average stats. As a fighter its self it seem like a mid tier built for speed and power and bleed. Also for combat and strategy because like u said Allosaurus itself were absolute monsters. To me it's that one dinosaur that would always have an advantage over EVERY dinosaur in this game.Thats what makes it amazing. In its concept art I noticed it knock down a ceratosaurus. If that was a mechanic then I feel like it should be able to knock down almost any dinosaur that's under its weight. But if it were to use it on Alberto which is only just a little heavier than allo then I think alberto will take damage but it will just be pushed back pretty hard it. Not fully taken down. Bye it could have a 5% chance of taking it down completely and pinning it down but that seems a bit extreme. Now for Alberto, this dino intrigues me the most out of all the mid tiers. Its build has rex like proportions even though that the fossil record says it to be a faster and more agile dino compared to t rex. We all seen the concept art and we were pretty disappointed that it didn't show its play styles. To me I feel like it should have a very unique mechanic the other mid tiers will not have at all. Since its larger and a bit heavier than allo we can already tell this thing is built for power. To me I feel like it should be more of a brawler since it does have the rex proportions like its mechanics can be that it could be like a mix or mutation between allo's ambush and carno's charge. Maybe whenever it is chasing pray or in a fight it can just use its size to barge into dino's and knock down almost anything that's under it's weight and can stun them and slow the other dino down. Considering how it is similar to allo in weight and size. It won't be able to knock down allo completely. It could just hit it and then the allo would just take a descent amount of damage from it and would push it back at a descent distance. Like allo it could have a percentage of what chance it has taking allo down. Because it is bigger than allo it could have a 15% chance of knocking allo down completely but that could be modified or shrunken. I also had this fun idea that maybe when Alberto broadcasts while running then it could have a rage mode turned on for a limited time which would make it faster and can increase the damage and power into its barge attack which will make it even more dangerous similar to how the gave it to gallimimus. Maybe allo could do the same but its not enraged (maybe a little) it will have a cunning mode on which would also make it faster and can increase its damage from its claws and put more power into its ambush but that's just an idea. Might not be added. Both of these carnivores would be relatively even in stats and abilities and would be super equal overall. If Alberto would win, it would stun the allo with its barge and can use its powerful bite to drop its health and make sure it down for the count. If allo wins then it would use its intelligence and speed to bleed the crap out of the Alberto and put some damage in as well and try its best to use its pinning down technique to do some damage on the Alberto for it to win. Overall, these 2 are basically the indoraptor and scorpius rex of the isle. (Allo being the indoraptor because its superior intellect and strategy and its speed and claws and Alberto being the Scorpius because of its critical advantage on strength and battle iq as it is the brawler here). Allo is the ranger and combat fighter and Alberto is the power house and peldon. The fighting capability for Alberto is what makes it more convenient to me since it was an underrated dinosaur for isle players in legacy to use. Allo just needs a lot of iq for the mains to have. Especially in a fight. In legacy, I always see them just charge in to a pack or herd without a plan and they die instantly lol. But hey these are just my idea's. Your analysis on these 2 was so good. All your isle videos have me super hyped for the game! Thanks for this video man :)
Do you think you could do a video like this for Diplodocus and Brontosaurus? I myself have ideas on how to make they different if the devs decide to keep both
in the real life the allo is almost 17 ft tall it should tower over the 12ft sucho and carno and almost the height of a rex hopefully they'll do that in evirma
allosaurus should be a fast hunter , not like in legacy , allos could run quite fast , his biggest prey would be a stego ( yes allos hunted stegos irl) he should deal bleed ofc ( AND HE SHOULD GET CLAW ATTACK )
I think Allosaurus should have some kind of heavy bleed attack that isn't dissimilar to ARK: Survival Evolved's allo. The Allosaurus's jaws are speculated to have been able to open up to a 90 degree angle, give or take. I've heard some theories that it could have opened it's jaws wide and brought them down onto prey almost like an axe of teeth to compensate for a lower bite force as a result of a more nimble build with less muscle. Albertosaurus should be more robust. Being a Tyrannosaurid, I believe it should be more of a somewhat slow, somewhat bulky, heavy hitter, potentially relying on an ambush ability to take out faster prey. It should definitely have a disproportionately powerful bite in the same way as Tyrannosaurus Rex, but be slightly more nimble due to its smaller size. It could essentially function as a smaller T-Rex, but maybe with an extra ability or two to make it a unique experience in The Isle.
I do think of Alberto being able to run for days yet average speed instead of poor stamina yet explosive speed. So it could fill the niche of a hyena or something, a ferocious endurance hunter but also an accomplished scavenger. It's just my idea though.
Yeah that seems cool but the idea of Hyena was taken by Cerato even tho its playstyle doesn't really fit it even tho it's personality is beeing a hyena
i'll throw my 2cents in i guess... TLDR: i think alberto should be a moe solitary endurace based brawler that has the OPTION to either run you down or brawl you out, it cant do both at once allo should be a jack-of-all-trades "ambusher" thats good all around but becomes truely exceptional in a pack, having the collective ability to hunt down most prey and tackle big game other mid tiers usually cant im going to have to respectfully, disagree with Orni on which of the two gets endurance hunting, i feel that would be better suited for alberto...let me explain going off the three african predators used as an example in the video and comparing them to the Carno Allo and Alberto ther's alot that corresponds between them. off the bat, carno lines up pretty well with cheetah, a high speed sprinter that can't go for so long before its outta gas i personally feel that allo, as its nickname suggests, is fairly approximate to a lion, lions are ambush hunters by nature, they are decently fast over a certain distance, they compensate for that limitation buy hunting in a group, alowing them to out maneuver prey that would other ise out run them and tackle larger potential prey this to me lines up fairly well with allo's "jack of all trades" approach, it has average to decent stats across the board, damage dealt, damage healed, stamina, speed, etc. but its not really specialized any which way, that changes when you have a pack...a collective of allos now has the ability to run down and tackle prey and individual otherwise would be unable to... basically solo allo is a generalist "ambusher" and a pack are, hopefully strategic, big game hunters as for alberto that leaves it with the wild dog niche right, well yes and no...i will admit its definitely not a perfect fit but its close enough, alberto already has the physical adaptations suited for it, proportionally longed and slimmer limbs better suite for for running and decently powerful jaws good for making harrying attacks or devistating single blows, as appose to allos stockier hind limbs better suited for quit bursts of speed its well developed forlimbs it uses to grapple and restrain its prey, and it realtively weaker bit but more dangerous bleed where the comparisson of alberto and dog becomes an issue is tthe size difference and pack hunting, a big factor to wild dogs competativness is their pack hunting, being smaller then most large african predators, wild dogs rely on their endurance and well coordinated numbers given alberto's size, stats and territorial nature, it probably wont need to rely on numbers, nor want to, it should be a fairly cabable solo predator, only really joining up in lose mobs or family units when its seriously needs i like the idea of alberto being a brawler aswell, help make soloplay easier and lines up with it being a tyrannosaur in general, and i thinkto balance that with the endurance hunter idea im going to do this...have its brawlling abilities and its endurance tied HEAVILY to the same stamina pool, it can choose to do one or the other, Not Both! an alberto will have to chose which approach its gonna take going to a fight before hand and manage that stamina accordingly having alberto as an enudrance based brawler that tends more to solitary habits to contrast the more generalized and sociable pack hunting allo seems like the best option to me
Yeah the new model seems to be them trying to make it more like rex which is stupid its older design of it being fast and slimmer is better imo as yeah it wasn't really a super bulky tyrannosaur
Never listen to people in the actual isle discord while there's some good a lot of them are just their to complain or to suckk off the devs, there is so many idiots in that discord that it's just not really worth trying to say stuff in there because of someone has a different opinion they won't even want to listen to your alternative
Welcome back I see you've taken a nice long break plus maybe next make a video on different sauropods? Like Cama diplo bronto and brachi. Also happy late birthday 👍🎊🎁🎉🎂
Tbh I think it would be cool if one carnivore had the ability to change the color of it's skin on demand like the TLW novel carno. Not related to alberto or Allo just wanted to put that idea out there
Allo and Albert won’t be similar like at all other than speed and size they won’t be similar it will be more of a challenge to make sure deinocherius and theri aren’t similar mechanics-wise
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx also Albert will most likely but bigger Dino’s that’s why it looks chunker to support the idea that they want it to hunt bigger Dino’s while allo is lean being able to ambush the smaller faster Dino’s idk if u say that in the video bc I’m in a loud house
Brilliant video! As always lol :) I’m excited for Alberto mostly, only cuz I love the dino, allo too but more for Alberto which I know is an unpopular opinion. Anyways, keep up the amazing work!
i think its a very big mistake to make Allos be close to tree lines Allosaurus was an open terrain dinosaur btw if they want to remove a few dinosaurus making Allo the epanterias subspecies you can skip acro and even giga
I liked the Alberto model until I saw the original wtf, they are probably just trying to differentiate it from young Rex's because they look very similar (as they should)
I dont think cera should be on allos diet, because realistically a cera could probably fuck one up, ceras were THE underdogs. They should avoid eachother at best, with Allo not wanting to mess with one due to its bacterial/septic bite, along with its stamina and dps, and I think allo being an endurance hunter would intercline with cera since it would be faster and have pretty much the same or more stam, which would make them even morely intercline and fight with eachother, resulting in allosaurus being a better ceratosaurus in most cases. Ceratosaurus are kinda hyenas, they can form groups of 4 which is quite large, Allo should keep the playstyle of ambushing with it being encouraged to hunt in more open and less forested biomes, with Alberto preferring a more Forested and foliage packed biome where prey reside, maybe Tenonto could be on a Albertos diet due to them being in forests. usuallly foraging for potatoes etc.
Dino enthusiast here. Let me explain:
Allosaurus is single-handedly the most numerous dinosaur we find in Late Jurassic rocks within the Morrison Formation.
Because of this, scientists have generally taken two different stances:
1) The Allosaurus bonebeds are locations were Allosaurus juveniles, fresh from leaving the nest and setting off on their own, were ambushed by Adults after being led there by the smell of their kills, almost in a similar vein to juvenile Komodo Dragons being killed by adult Komodo Dragons after being lured to their kill sites.
No grass though, that hadn't evolved yet.)
Both theories are equally plausible, so it really just depends on who you ask. Sorry if I overloaded you with information, but your confusion at 1:20 piqued my interest, and I just had to share what I know.
you're a gem for this
heres my take:
allo should be a fast, ambush bleeder with lower stamina. it should use its claws to deal damage and bite to add a massive bleed.
alberto should be a more robust brawler, faster than a rex but slower than allos. while allos should work in packs, alberto should be a better solitary fighter, hunter and survivor, maybe going in groups of 2 adults rather than 4-5 most of the time.
hmmm i do like that to
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx thanks, I mainly based it off the real palaeontology because in reality the animals were very different.

@@wiili22 haven't heard that honestly, but you could be right
I know adding a comment to a 4 month old video will likely end in vain but eh, screw it.
That way it’s niche could be that of Sub Rex since you can’t pause your growth as you could on legacy.
hhhmmmmmm interesting
It’s a wonderful idea better then the actual concept of albertosaurus being a bad parent stupidest concept right next to para albertosaurus should be an execellant parent and should be the Wolf of dinosaurs and the coyote of trexs
Actually you kind of can stop growth as a sub Rex, by abusing the diet system
@@Nikki-Femboy gigabrain comment
Old alberto model was perfect.
i want allos main enemy to be stego for obvious reasons, allo and stego is like the most iconic matchup other than trike and rex id say
packs of allos vs stegos would be insane
alberto should be an endureance hunter because it had fused ankel bones which is an adaptation for speed and endureance, also alberto probably had a stronger bite than allo so it fits more as an african wild dog analog, allo should be the lion or leopard and carno the cheetah.
i like this,good insight,merci
This would be amazing. As an alberto hater , all I need is just for alberto to be done right.
I think Alberto only being able to bone break when in ambush would be super cool but make the ambush take like 10 seconds to start up so it couldn't overuse the bone break and had to be a precise ambusher.
6:51 As a legacy Alberto main I couldn’t agree more. The devs need to learn that if ain’t broke don’t fix it
yeah nah id love to hear the stories sounds like it’ll be chill to watch!
1500 subs congratulations
The old Albertosaurus model seems more realistic.
They should give aldertosaurus the locking jaw that tarbosaurus had to give it a machanic
Amazing video as always, good to see more feedback from the devs. Would love to see some of that story type content.
aww merci i think i will do that at some point
Honestly this is some of the best isle Contant I’ve watched in a minute mostly everything is just negative and complaining but you actually give constructive criticism
awww merci :)
@Sim6dot9, That could work too.
Finally for a bit of fun maybe envision a new strain or the impact of a certain strain on a specific creature.
awww thank you.further down the line i def will :)
1:04 A herd of 6 tenontos is considered a "megaherd" by most of these kooks. Honestly I'd love to see them explain wildebeest or caribou herds.

The real difference is:
Allo does something.
I think Africa is the best place to talk about niche participating
I just want to say because this isn’t as well known. Allosaurus and ceratosaurus did live and compete with each other so having them fighting each other in the concepts makes sense
jesus werent you like 800 subs like 3 weeks ago , Keep up the good work man its clearly working
However they are not scared to fight tooth and claw with other unknown allosaurs for territory and food
Alberto is a endurance hunter, with occasional ambushes.
Hey it’s orni the isle theorist guy !😮
I agree with you here, but I would switch it around. Make it so allo is the ambusher with its ambush ability and make alberto an endurance hunter with no as much speed, but lots of stamina to back it up. This would also make a lot of sense when you take a look at their models.
From my point of view all should hunt smaller prey being a solitary hunter also to be faster and then for alberto to be a family hunter hunting stegos, camaras, trikes together also being slower
💛 to get rid of monolophosaures 🖤 to get rid of dilophosaures
Stegosaurus and allo should be natural enemies as they were in real life
I think it'll be fun to see Allosaurus and Albertosaurus joust for the top mid tier position.
Yes story time / gameplay please I love your voice
awww merci 💎
Great ideas. But… Honestly, I think you have it backwards. You brought up the difference between lions and wild dogs hunting strategies. But Allo has been called the ‘Lion of the Jurassic’ for a long time. So it should be more of an ambush Hunter. And we know that smaller Tyrannosaurs were pretty good specialized runners. So they should be the ones able to run their prey down over time.
i dont mind either being an ambush or edurance hunter, but both are made out to be ambushers by the devs.
Allos should be able to chase down or escape Albertos, unless the latter gets the jump on the former.
big packs of allos will allow it to actually hunt large prey, like stego who needs something to be worried about. from what the devs have said, alberto will get some special attack if you get up close with it. so it could ward off allos getting too close
love ur vids so much man ur so underrated and deserve a million subs or even more man keep up the good work
awww you're too kind
Here's how to separate them, allosaurus was large, but it had a weak bite force and was built for speed, allosaurus should be a pursuit "pack" predator that drains the victims health over a decent amount of time, it should also have decent bleed. Albertosaurus was heavier and taller, it also had a much stronger bite but it's teeth were blunt and used for crushing, Alberto should be a ambush predator using high speed and a strong bite to take out victims quick and easy
Path of Titans has already solved this issue with daspleto and allo, dasp is slower, but has higher damage and bonebreak, it also has lower stamina, allosaurus is faster has lower damage but has bleed.
Tyrannosaurids are built for damage, allosauroids are built for bleed
good ideas.
Allo would be a good endurance hunter and would add some variety to the game especially if they make carno a sprinter that hunts small prey
Happy belated birthday man. This video was super great and enjoyable, i really liked your ideas for allo and albi. Enjoy your holidays
awww merci merci
allo strikes me as a much better short burst sprinter/ambusher than alberto, since its grapple allows it to pinnacelize on ambushing things via grabbing hold and ending the chase, as well as that lets it use its high speed in short bursts for hit-and-runs against larger animals, using its grapple and bites to bleed them out
meanwhile alberto is a bit tougher but uses its good trot speed and scent to endurance hunt in family groups, and possibly light fracture to slow things down in chases
babe wake up Orni posted
To me this should go like the TRex and Giga, but in a lower weight class, allo runs for longer, does more bleed, has a grapple or a claw attack cos of those shreeded arms, but does less dmg, while the alberto is beffier, does more dmg, tankier, maybe has a bonebreak attack, but is slower and cant run as long.
Ty for such an amazing video! you put so much time into each one
best would be in alberto and cerato lived in the forests with cerato also going out for corpses
and Allo and carno lived in the open area
Also alberto to show that they are bad parents like they showed in the consepts they could make it so max pack size is 2 of the species and not 2 adults and children
While Allo should be able to make packs (not so realistic but it should differentiate them more) with Allo having alot of stam and being fast while alberto could be very silent to launch ambushes and have a very strong bite
first congrats for ur 1.5k sub !!!
second ( my opinion will be based on the dev's concept , me 2 i wouldn't give alberto such a big neck ) :
The allo limit pack should be around 4 ( five is too much i think ) and have a hunter / pursuer gameplay so that he can use its good senses ( hearing for instance ) and average bite force to kill small prey (why not medium size prei if u feel confident enough ) where as he should relie more on his claws when you are hunting in pack a med + / large prey and apply more bleed this way . I also think the allo should have a long hunger maintain time and ok stamina because he'll have that insane scent capcity to keep its prey on the hunt , so you are following it but not at close range , and even if ur prey runs , the bleed will do the job .
Now the alberto ( still based on the concept ) should be an ambush-brawler , what i mean is that it should be more comfortable at ambushing ( wich mean high bite force / low stam ) but in the same time he should be good at brawling if the situation needs it and attack the neck of the enemy ( i forgot the name but like the T.Rex attack except without the bonebreak )
good ideas
Well this is a bit simpler, personally the most simple way to differentiate them is to make allo a endurance bleeder/ambushed and make alberto a permanent sub rex of sorts
Sucks the devs won't take any of this advice 😕
:(
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx:(
This is my idea for Alberto: After Alberto reaches either juvi stage or sub stage, it's horns will start building up bacteria and moss.
The way I think of it is:
Alberto: High base dmg, (some fracture dmg included) speed and weight ( not a tank but tough cuz its pretty big).
Below average stats: bleed, stam, stam regen and bleed heal.
Average stats: Alt attack speed, attack speed, bleed resistance, scent NV range, food/water drain and average growth for its size. Mby slightly faster growth for it's size if its gona have a hard time growing.
Allo:
Allo: High bleed dmg, its ambush ability will be very fast, stam, NV range and HP/ locked HP heal.
" Oh well, dosent matter il just face tank, disengage and heal.")
It might be a bit contradictory to give it high HP regen but not bleed Regen as those might just clash. I just think allos aside from fracture dmg )which would prevent them doing it.) Will have it to easy if they can just land some hits and heal up.
5:40 that actually made me go back several times XD
I'll go through my idea's for these 2 baddass carnivores (I know this comment is 5 months late but screw it)
The way I see it for the 2 is that they should be super equal in stats and abilities because of the fact that you said that all of the mid tiers should all have their own special abilities which I couldn't agree more with.
Thanks for this video man :)
you truly are a gem

Do you think you could do a video like this for Diplodocus and Brontosaurus? I myself have ideas on how to make they different if the devs decide to keep both
Now that’s a good idea
The Legacy model was great!!
It's ok, I'll give my Cory seismic communication.
earned a sub, great video!
aww thank you :)
Allosaurus has long arms with three fingers.
Albertosaurus has short arms with two fingers.
when a video of how devs lied us about the content that is coming for update 6?
Again a lovely vid brother the final laugh tho XDDD
in the real life the allo is almost 17 ft tall it should tower over the 12ft sucho and carno and almost the height of a rex hopefully they'll do that in evirma
I love the old Alberto and PRAY that they ditch the new one and just touch up the old one
allosaurus should be a fast hunter , not like in legacy , allos could run quite fast , his biggest prey would be a stego ( yes allos hunted stegos irl) he should deal bleed ofc ( AND HE SHOULD GET CLAW ATTACK )
The axe head thing was debunked, but def would be interesting in the isle. And it 100% should specialize in bleed
The return of the king
😅
I do think of Alberto being able to run for days yet average speed instead of poor stamina yet explosive speed. So it could fill the niche of a hyena or something, a ferocious endurance hunter but also an accomplished scavenger. It's just my idea though.
Yeah that seems cool but the idea of Hyena was taken by Cerato even tho its playstyle doesn't really fit it even tho it's personality is beeing a hyena
if people want allo to be the bleeding, pack hunting carnivore that punches above its weight, making it an endurance hunter makes far more sense.
i'll throw my 2cents in i guess...
TLDR: i think alberto should be a moe solitary endurace based brawler that has the OPTION to either run you down or brawl you out, it cant do both at once
allo should be a jack-of-all-trades "ambusher" thats good all around but becomes truely exceptional in a pack, having the collective ability to hunt down most prey and tackle big game other mid tiers usually cant
im going to have to respectfully, disagree with Orni on which of the two gets endurance hunting, i feel that would be better suited for alberto...let me explain
going off the three african predators used as an example in the video and comparing them to the Carno Allo and Alberto ther's alot that corresponds between them. off the bat, carno lines up pretty well with cheetah, a high speed sprinter that can't go for so long before its outta gas
i personally feel that allo, as its nickname suggests, is fairly approximate to a lion, lions are ambush hunters by nature, they are decently fast over a certain distance, they compensate for that limitation buy hunting in a group, alowing them to out maneuver prey that would other ise out run them and tackle larger potential prey
this to me lines up fairly well with allo's "jack of all trades" approach, it has average to decent stats across the board, damage dealt, damage healed, stamina, speed, etc. but its not really specialized any which way, that changes when you have a pack...a collective of allos now has the ability to run down and tackle prey and individual otherwise would be unable to...
basically solo allo is a generalist "ambusher" and a pack are, hopefully strategic, big game hunters
as for alberto that leaves it with the wild dog niche right, well yes and no...i will admit its definitely not a perfect fit but its close enough, alberto already has the physical adaptations suited for it, proportionally longed and slimmer limbs better suite for for running and decently powerful jaws good for making harrying attacks or devistating single blows, as appose to allos stockier hind limbs better suited for quit bursts of speed its well developed forlimbs it uses to grapple and restrain its prey, and it realtively weaker bit but more dangerous bleed
where the comparisson of alberto and dog becomes an issue is tthe size difference and pack hunting, a big factor to wild dogs competativness is their pack hunting, being smaller then most large african predators, wild dogs rely on their endurance and well coordinated numbers
given alberto's size, stats and territorial nature, it probably wont need to rely on numbers, nor want to, it should be a fairly cabable solo predator, only really joining up in lose mobs or family units when its seriously needs
i like the idea of alberto being a brawler aswell, help make soloplay easier and lines up with it being a tyrannosaur in general, and i thinkto balance that with the endurance hunter idea im going to do this...have its brawlling abilities and its endurance tied HEAVILY to the same stamina pool, it can choose to do one or the other, Not Both! an alberto will have to chose which approach its gonna take going to a fight before hand and manage that stamina accordingly
having alberto as an enudrance based brawler that tends more to solitary habits to contrast the more generalized and sociable pack hunting allo seems like the best option to me
Yeah the new model seems to be them trying to make it more like rex which is stupid its older design of it being fast and slimmer is better imo as yeah it wasn't really a super bulky tyrannosaur
As a sauropod fan, I await camas video, great videos though still, keep up the good work!
8:35 why you saying things about the relationship cerato and allo had irl? probably nothing related with reviewing jurassic fight club right?
100% agree with what you said on new albert
Never listen to people in the actual isle discord while there's some good a lot of them are just their to complain or to suckk off the devs, there is so many idiots in that discord that it's just not really worth trying to say stuff in there because of someone has a different opinion they won't even want to listen to your alternative
The cama got bodied because he was stomping. I believe acro has a grapple attack if u stomp allowing him to push u over and do a lot of damage.
Orni are you gonna do a stress test video? and love the video.
i wasnt in the stress test :(
Welcome back I see you've taken a nice long break plus maybe next make a video on different sauropods? Like Cama diplo bronto and brachi.
Also happy late birthday 👍🎊🎁🎉🎂
ty ty you gem
love these kinds of videos.
Tbh I think it would be cool if one carnivore had the ability to change the color of it's skin on demand like the TLW novel carno.
Not related to alberto or Allo just wanted to put that idea out there
i think the devs did say that one would be able to,my guess is either mono or rugops
congrats for the 1500 subs!!!
aww thank you thank you
NEVER use Jurassic fight club as reference images again.
:(
@@Orni-Mega-LonyxThank.
Allo and Albert won’t be similar like at all other than speed and size they won’t be similar it will be more of a challenge to make sure deinocherius and theri aren’t similar mechanics-wise
cheirus and theri is easy
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx also Albert will most likely but bigger Dino’s that’s why it looks chunker to support the idea that they want it to hunt bigger Dino’s while allo is lean being able to ambush the smaller faster Dino’s idk if u say that in the video bc I’m in a loud house
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx also don’t think they need more pins in the game
You make me want to upload Isle content again
do it my boy
id say the Alberto should be and endures Machen mostly cut of the bits force anf the over all disine also cuz it leg are longer and thiner
good point
Brilliant video! As always lol :) I’m excited for Alberto mostly, only cuz I love the dino, allo too but more for Alberto which I know is an unpopular opinion. Anyways, keep up the amazing work!
i love the vids they help me think clearly
awww im glad :)
I shall probably main allo
you=chad
Happy late birthday and happy holidays as well :)
aww ty ty
Congrats on 1,500 subs Orni!
thank you :)
Little late but happy birthday
thank you you gem
Would love to watch some realisim gameplay for yeh
when GOOD realism servers come out i will be 100%
i think its a very big mistake to make Allos be close to tree lines
Allosaurus was an open terrain dinosaur
btw if they want to remove a few dinosaurus making Allo the epanterias subspecies you can skip acro and even giga
Should scrap T. rex and trike off the list rn and focus on more mid tiers like this
I would like your ideas for spinosaur
i have been thinking about it
late happy birthday orni👉👉
aww ty ty :)
Give albertosaurus laser eyes.
I liked the Alberto model until I saw the original wtf, they are probably just trying to differentiate it from young Rex's because they look very similar (as they should)
Albertosaurus new model resembles a Tarbosaurus in head to body proportions more than an Albertosaurus.
Alberto going to be bigger than allo I'm pretty sure plus the arms already separate them (this comment was made before the video was watched)
Also maybe Allo could be a combination, not with cera stamina, but with a good trot speed, trotting down prey and waiting for them to bleed out.
If Alberto exist, Charca should not exist. If Charca exists, Alberto shouldn’t.
