You always need to put liquid in a pressure pot, if its too wet at the end, put it on the saute function with the lid off and it will reduce down quite quickly :)
When I make a Chilli Con Carne in my Ninja 15 in 1, I only use a tin of Chopped Tomatoes, and half fill the can with water and add that to the mix. I don't like Casserole/Stews, Curries and the like swamped in liquid.
If it's too hot the following day, a dollop of cool yoghurt helps tone it down. Great video, I hope youngsters come across your channel, it is so easy for them to follow and learn how to make decent nourishing and warming meals that don't cost an arm and a leg!
I’m loving my Cosori pressure cooker ! I use the steam function for 3 mins to blanche vegetables for freezing (i add hot boiled water,to speed up the preheat) . As i am on my own,it means i’m not wasting anything and can buy the 3for 2 offers 😁I am waiting for you to make a steak or steak and kidney pudding in it ,pretty please with a cherry 🍒 on top 😎💖
I made this a couple of weeks ago, minus the chocolate! It was quick and delicious! Thank you for turning me onto Cosori! I love it. Be well and stay safe!
Hi Martin and Sharon just binge watching your channel and mazy and dans channel two lovely couples love you two and mazy and dan two down to earth couples.
Well I’ve been watching your videos using the Cosori pressure cooker and this Chilli video has convinced me I need one of them in my life! Top of my shopping list I just need to find a good deal …and thanks for the demo as ever 👌😊
Mine is arriving on Sat! Can't wait, already planning recipes to try in it. Stacy's channel sounds good, I loved the scones she made, Vegtastic mum, is also a winner I adored her recipe for cheese scones.
Cooked this for our tea. Bloody lovely 🥰 thanks for the idea x x I even made some Mexican rice to go with it. ❤ love you videos and glad you went your own way and not down the short/membership route. Us older folk are not into that malarky 😊
I always put dark choc in my chilli. It gives it a nice kind of smoothness Don’t know how to explain it. . A nice winter warmer. And 10 minutes is amazing. I like it over plain Doritos with melted cheese on the top mmmm. Thanks for the video. I’ve bought dual Ninja and a 15:1 because of you lol. If I buy any more I won’t have any room in my kitchen ☺️. That pressure pot does look good I must say ☺️ 🤔🤔🤔
Dear Sharon and Martin, just to let you know if your chilli is too hot squeeze a fresh orange into it, it definitely takes some of the heat out and won’t affect the taste. Love your Chanel. 🤩
Sugar works well to temper the acid in tomatoes. I have also used brown sugar, gives an enriched flavor. Well guess what I will be making tomorrow, with corn Mimi muffins.
if it's too spicy tomorrow top it with plain yoghurt :) i've started topping anything spicy with yoghurt because it's awesome and tastes fresher than sour cream :)
Love your doggie Merlin, he looks so cute, recipe looks great, and I will definitely be subscribing to Tracy’s channel, as usual a very entertaining video.X💕🏴
Hi Martin and Sharon, another taste sensation. It's good how it looks so quick, even if you were coming in from work and having to cook it it's not long to wait
Hi both...thank you once again for a lovely recipe, I was expecting you to add grated cheese on the top, knowing that you both love cheese, i put it on ours, yum lovely lol Big hugs to you both Sue & Ben (Woodhall Spa) xx
I do my chilli con carne in a big frying pan, not got my head around a pressure cooker yet, I always think once that lid goes down you've lost control of your dish. I planned to do a chilli tonight but changed it to a Keema curry instead with infused Basmati rice :)
M&S I’ve just cooked that chilli absolutely Taste Sensation but unfortunately Martin I live on my own and haven’t got a Sharon to hold me up 🤣🤣🤣love you two fellow Londerners wallop
Dark chocolate is quite a traditional thing to put in chilli it's to balance out the acid in the tomatoes. I'm a tight wad and usually substitute it with either a drop of honey or a bit of sugar as that does same thing.I always think chilli needs to be made then left to mature in fridge a day or 2 before reheated and eaten and then it's perfect. The pressure pot is a winner in our house thanks for showcasing it xxx
Oh yes 😊 loving your chilli and defo need to try adding some dark chocolate at the end, thanks for sharing. Aw Merlin he’s a bit of a tryer that one with those big eyes and waggy tail, love him 😅. Love the pressure cooker especially at this time of year, Jan ❤xx
Love watching you both I put 2 tins of bake beans in my chilli as my lot don’t like kidney beans. Love to visit the bakery & delicatessens in woodhall do some love cakes and cold meats.💜
Thankyou Sharon and Martin....another hit !! And Sharon's face when she realised how hot it could get next day....priceless !! 😂😂 Can't wait to try this in my Cosori...never heard of dark choc in a chilli before but I trust you two. xx
My ninja is also a pressure cooker, I have done a few things in the pressure cooker setting but not anything like a chilli con carne. It's normally meat that I am cooking to make pies with like diced beef, chicken or mince.
That looks delicious. A dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt on top will take some of the heat off, if it's a bit too spicy tomorrow. Certainly a winter warmer for adults only!. Yum.
That's my favorite way of cooking, just bung it all in and wait 10 minutes, easy peasy. Being single I make enough for six meals and freeze the rest in meal-size containers so I can microwave one when needed, usually every day. I fry the mince with onion in the pot before adding the rest so less washing up. I have had that burn warning twice and each time it was the onions. You must add water to allow steam to pressurize although I'm surprised at how quick it stops cooking when a burn warning comes up. Very little burnt food is the result and as you did, take the lid off, give it a stir add a bit of water and away you go. Good idea to add chocolate but me, I'd add half a bar 🙂
Thanks both for the recipe 😊. I believe that tomatoes and tomato puree are not a pressure cookers friend and should be left on the top and not stirred in. I dont know why its just a thing. I love the the way Merlin wanted to help Mum and Dad with the cooking he's a beautiful boy.
Oh the chilli looks so nice oh yes if will be tastier tomorrow I always do a stew with potatoes and veg and i usually some left so jt does us another meal .I love winter when uou fo stews chilli's evt love fran xxx
We put a small handful of Fritos corn chips in a bowl. Ladle the chili in then top with diced raw onions, sour cream and a little hot sauce if you like it hotter. Yours looks easy and very good. Thanks.
After watching you do a few things in your pressure cooker we are definitely gonna get one, I couldn't warrant spending £200 odd quid on a Ninja 15 in 1, but sub £100 for one of these definitely worth it 😀 I'll make preparing more healthy meals a lot easier for a working family 😊
Mmmmm another fabulous "winter warmer" 😋. Will definitely be trying this in my Cosori, thanks guys. Great idea making it the day before, to save time. So glad you showed us what to do if we get the "burning food" error code. Cant wait for Tracey's channel too. Xx

Thank you so much.
Ohhh have to try this! Thanks Sharon and Martin 😊
Our pleasure!
I love the faces Sharon makes ,chilli looks tasty
Most recipes for the pressure cookers that contain tinned tomatoes tell you to put the tomatoes in last and dont stir.
That chilli looked lovely 😊😊
It doesn't make any difference in my opinion.
Omg that looked like a delicious chilli ❤
Absolutely fantastic Martin and Sharon another great winter warmer 👍👍👍👍

chocolate or coffee in chilli is good

I had exactly the same happen while cooking a chilli in the cosori pressure cooker a couple of days ago.
That's my favorite way of cooking, just bung it all in and wait 10 minutes, easy peasy. Thanks both for the recipe 😊.

Delicious 😋 Beautiful Merlin ❤ xx
We put a small handful of Fritos corn chips in a bowl. Ladle the chili in then top with diced raw onions, sour cream and a little hot sauce if you like it hotter. Yours looks easy and very good. Thanks.
You can also use Pease Pudding to thicken dishes up if it’s too thin .
Lovely grub.
Fab again you 2 and Merlin 😊xx
