The remaster has a Pixar-like cinematic quality to it. One of the best games of 2020 for sure. Also it was bittersweet but Tommy got to live with his family until he was an old man and he was ready for death when it came. Really bittersweet ending.
This is the first mafia game I've ever played. At first I thought "well that's bullshit, i did all this stuff so Tommy could have a family and a life," but then I thought about it and its pretty fitting. Changing of the guard kinda stuff. One day you're sent to whack the old guy who wants out, next thing you know you're the old guy trying to not get off'ed. Still sucks for Tommy but at least he died knowing that Salieri just wanted him and that his family is safe.
30:13 - Look at Joe's character model, then go watch the Mafia 3 scene when Leo talks with Lincoln and pay attention to Leo's driver's appearance. If this isn't enough of a proof that Joe is still alive, then I'm permanently moving to Madagascar.
After Salieri told Tommy to kill the whore, Sam pleaded with Tommy not to kill her. But at the end he was upset that he didn't. And after Tommy saved his life 3 times.
While I am in 7th heaven from actually seeing Vito and Joe do the job, finally putting some definity to the two games, and Tommy accepting his faith, I felt Tommy's OG closing monologue about keeping balance was stronger. This whole, honestly, trite 'family is forever'-trope felt like a lame callback to Mafia 3: 'Family isn't who you're born with, it's who you die for.' Still, a remake that will stand the test of time as a benchmark.
One thing i realize, all those jobs over the years & rising through the ranks and Tommy barely had any money (needing to borrow $ to get out of town). Also crazy how cold Sam was to knock off his two closest guys over the years after they’ve saved him countless times. Great game though !
tommy got his identity changed and settles for years, untill someone reached him and calls him by the name Mr Angelo, right there he knew... the past finaly catching up.
If Paulie was still a alive and saw Vito and Joe aiming the Lupura at Tommy and saw their car, his head would be like: 'I don't like you guys, but you have a nice car, I'm gonna find out where you keep it. Say bye-bye to it.'

Hanger13 did such a great job in so many respects. I love the attention to detail in the Chicago accents, the additional time for character moments. The cutscenes and dialogue as a whole are beautifully remastered. I wish they'd used more of Sam's original dialogue. The tone was so much more impactful to me when I first played the OG.
And love your playthrough i strictly waited every day for your uploads ad refrained from looking at other youtubers to watch the whole playthrough. It was worth it :)
Wow, thanks! You didn't have to do that but appreciate it I didn't want to rush this walkthrough like everyone else as I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing in each mission. :)
It’s awesome to finally see you complete the entire game. Hopefully there might be Easter eggs and Secrets for you to find. Other then that great gameplay!
I really like this game wish they added extra mission and made it more Non Linear so we can see more of the open world but really like the characters I kinda miss the older shoot out with sam and the confrontation between Sam and Tommy at the end and really wish when tommy shoots sam that you hear the Mafia main theme that was so Iconic but so far really love it. Vito and Joe looks sweet makes me wish for a Mafia 2 remake :D Also like how Salieri Gangster talk to you and say thing like when we kill you we get made and you Jadus gives more deph to it :D
It's crazy because earlier on when Sallieri said someone betrayed the family I automatically assumed it was Sam, I never trusted him but cared about him because there was no evidence of disloyalty, only for him to throw it in Toms face he spared some chick he asked him to.
This has such a sad and happy ending. In the end, he was able to stare at the barrel of a loaded shotgun with hardened resolve of a "Made Man" and passed away peacefully without regrets, surrounded by the people who are truly loyal to him. Living "the life" cuts your life expectancy drastically short. This is as close as you can get to a happy ending, considering the trail of dead bodies he left in his bloody path.
Played the definitive edition of this game, and having it been the first time I ever played a mafia game, I’m not going to lie, Tommy’s death had me go into a sad moment.Same feeling I got with Arthur Morgan, John marston, or Joel Miller 😂😭😭😭
Sam didn't want to kill Tommy, he wanted to help him. At 8:10 he told him to dissapear but Tom wanted to meet and Sam knew he doesn't have a choice anymore
One thing has often troubled me ever since I played the original years ago. Could Tommy have trusted Paulie? Was he actually serious about flying off to Hawaii? Would he have shared the loot with Tommy? Or was he also using Tommy just like Sam and Salieri?
Such a good remake in my opinion. I just played it through and really enjoyed the game as a whole. A few bugs and glitches here and there but very nice change of pace from the original one.
The definitive edition has even better ending with all that how Tommy reacted to his family and have the guts to tell his family they're safe now and that remember family is forever. Love and admire Tommy Angelo's work throughout all his life in the Mafia career.
Nah it isn’t grey it’s the lighting. Every time they’re in sunlight their hair gets grey(i’ve noticed that throughout the entire game). A persons hair doesn’t get fully gray like that at 36-38.

@@theportugueselegend tell that to the fanboy who want this remake to flop and called me a zoomer a^^hole
I love the ending in the remake when Tommy's family are with him in the end instead of leaving him alone in the 2002 game.
Hanger 12 have change the ending from the mafia 1 it mean time paradox
@@emeraldarcher8096 No.
Yea they have
John do not know the mafia 1, mafia 2, mafia2 DE ending
@@Chrisgaming3850 you do not the ending of Mafia 1, mafia 2 and mafia 2 definitive edition bro
Tommy is such a good Orator.. It really adds to the whole story, just by him being so good at telling it. Perfect Voice for it.
After Salieri told Tommy to kill the whore, Sam pleaded with Tommy not to kill her. But at the end he was upset that he didn't. And after Tommy saved his life 3 times.
finally finished it , it was kinda sad seeing Ralphie arrested 28:35
i dont think he´ll survive in jail
I think he had been put in an insane asylum.
Are you Polish by any chance? _To be in 7th heaven_ is a Polish phrase, in English there is _to be on cloude nine_ :) Pozdrawiam
@@indris91 No, Dutch. We have the fairly common saying 'In de zevende hemel zijn', 'being in seventh heaven'.
@@TFFgeek oh I get that, didn't know :)
Meh. It's a game series about the mafia.
@@TFFgeek Removal of the Monologue is the biggest grudge I have against the remake in favour of the original.
Man, this story has a lot depth than the original.
One thing i realize, all those jobs over the years & rising through the ranks and Tommy barely had any money (needing to borrow $ to get out of town). Also crazy how cold Sam was to knock off his two closest guys over the years after they’ve saved him countless times. Great game though !
sure the other tommy has more money
tommy got his identity changed and settles for years, untill someone reached him and calls him by the name Mr Angelo, right there he knew... the past finaly catching up.
You've got to feel bad for Vinny and Ralphie
I feel more bad for Ralphie
@@jeffreygardner801 why?
Frank's fate was mentioned here in the remake. Not just him, but his family too...
If Paulie was still a alive and saw Vito and Joe aiming the Lupura at Tommy and saw their car, his head would be like: 'I don't like you guys, but you have a nice car, I'm gonna find out where you keep it. Say bye-bye to it.'
Well technically it wasn't either of their car. In Mafia 2 chapter 14 Joe says Eddie gave it to them just for the job.
I appreciate that you kept the news radio regarding the bank robbery in the beginning drive.
Just noticed how they played the theme music from Mafia 2 when Vito and Joe approached Tommy, connecting Mafia 1 storyline to Mafia 2
In the original he was confused but here when he heard his name, he accepted his fate
I mean the second one seems more like tommy, he has always been smart
Sam was trying to say by saying "Paulie got himself killed" is that he already signed his death warrant by making the decision to scout out the bank.
Damn... RIP Tommy Angelo
You will be missed 🙏
I wonder how Paulie reacted to Sam arriving at his apartment to kill him
I love every mafia game but I gotta admit, it still hurts to see tommy die.
nobody talks about the beautiful museum? i literally take a look after i defeat each wave of enemies
Exactly💖💖💖
If there is an expansion story or a spin-off, I really want to see more out of Dameon Clarke Detective Norman Bates story and where it left off. There is so much more to this!
Love that you actually made a tour around the house.

Life speech : the life of gangster maybe like rich and good but he doesn't live so long but a normal person it is poor and have bad life he gone be happy and die in peace
Willzyyy yea i noticed that, it made it more enjoyable
Blood dripping on dollar bills is so iconic. Thankfully they kept it in the Definitive Edition.
Hey willzyyy, Tommy died the same month and day Mafia 1 remake release on Sept. 25
That's actually a really nice detail!
It's been three times, and this is my third time to say "69 years"
@@JadeyFreakinM haha shit three times for us haha
@@JadeyFreakinM nice
Tommy's breathing sounds are very detailed such that players can feel how hard combat situation he's facing
That was the end after Vito and Joe killed Tommy
The Mafia 1 it was unnamed gunmen and for mafia2,mafia2 DE and mafia DE it is Vito and joe
Bet that was kinda sad
It’s awesome to finally see you complete the entire game. Hopefully there might be Easter eggs and Secrets for you to find. Other then that great gameplay!
Thanks! Got some very fun and crazy side missions coming up next!
Willzyyy are u doing the side missions on classic mode too? I just finished all on classic and some of them are super tough!
Vito and Joe looks sweet makes me wish for a Mafia 2 remake :D
Also like how Salieri Gangster talk to you and say thing like when we kill you we get made and you Jadus gives more deph to it :D
Just finished it today, one of the best games of all time
LOL relax
a game like this will never come again thanks for the videos willzyy.
It's crazy because earlier on when Sallieri said someone betrayed the family I automatically assumed it was Sam, I never trusted him but cared about him because there was no evidence of disloyalty, only for him to throw it in Toms face he spared some chick he asked him to.
It's funny that every time Sam opened his mouth he made it easier to pull the trigger! The story line was great, like a good movie!
Oh man, I would've loved LOVED and *LOVED* to hear that motivational monologue in Andrew Bongiorno's voice.
it's upsetting to see ralph going to jail...
"Paulie's alright don't worry about"
It turns out Paulie was indeed not alright
Tommy was ready all the time. He’s ready to pay the price and face the fate awaiting him for being a government informant.
Played the definitive edition of this game, and having it been the first time I ever played a mafia game, I’m not going to lie, Tommy’s death had me go into a sad moment.Same feeling I got with Arthur Morgan, John marston, or Joel Miller 😂😭😭😭
Joel ? nah he's death just makes you angry but yeh it's new perspective of story alright
Joel got the most bullshit dead. Nobody coming out and shouting "I am Joel" in front of the strangers when he already created a lot of enemies before.
Hangar 13 and 2K Games did a Good Job with this Game! Love it so Much 😄
They did an amazing job!
Tommy was one of the most human characters of the game along with Paul
Sam didn't want to kill Tommy, he wanted to help him. At 8:10 he told him to dissapear but Tom wanted to meet and Sam knew he doesn't have a choice anymore
Lincoln is only mafia protagonist never met Tommy Angelo.Jimmy too but that story doesn't include original Mafia
24:54 Blood Money
I played mafia 2 first so when i saw a man coming outta the car I immediately knew it was vito by his jacket. Great ending rip tommy :(
One thing has often troubled me ever since I played the original years ago. Could Tommy have trusted Paulie? Was he actually serious about flying off to Hawaii? Would he have shared the loot with Tommy? Or was he also using Tommy just like Sam and Salieri?
30:13 Mr Salieri sends his regards
Such a good remake in my opinion. I just played it through and really enjoyed the game as a whole. A few bugs and glitches here and there but very nice change of pace from the original one.
Requiescat in Pace, Tommy Angelo
24:32 Nice shot Tommy.
MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION: THE END
MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION: THE END
The definitive edition has even better ending with all that how Tommy reacted to his family and have the guts to tell his family they're safe now and that remember family is forever. Love and admire Tommy Angelo's work throughout all his life in the Mafia career.
It's like a rise of a new top guy after that whack of Tommy by Vito and Joe.
Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro killed Tommy Angelo.
Notice how Tommy and Sarah’s hair gets greyer over the years when you progress through the game
Nah it isn’t grey it’s the lighting. Every time they’re in sunlight their hair gets grey(i’ve noticed that throughout the entire game). A persons hair doesn’t get fully gray like that at 36-38.
@@Steel-101 I noticed that as well shortly after
Sam is worse than a scumbag
"Those who don't follow the rules are scumbag, but those who abandon their friends are worse than a scumbag"
This part made me cry for an hour or so when I was 17 now that I'm 22 I don't normally cry but this part was the saddest of the sadness.
Vito:tommy angelo
Tommy: *you got the wrong guy I'm Jake*
Vito: *understandable have a great day*
In this version, Tommy knew he will meet his end eventually after betraying Salieri.
In the original game, he didn't see it coming.
The final judgment of Tommy Angelo
Tommy was in Mob for 8 years (1930 - 1938) and he got sentenced to prison for 8 years too
Crazy to think that Tommy and Vito were both locked up in prison at the same time
@@bigrich6075 It would be a lot crazier if they were in the same building and Tommy wasn't in isolation
