    Awesome Video !!!
    Quick question… would this work for an XRay X4 2024 for carpet racing?

    • @Dorkyand40

      We do all kinds of weird shit on carpet and on road. Use mode and lower epa to save battery for 4-5 laps and then click to -100. Gotta just try it and see if it works. The trick is to find the right gear to only have to shift one time

      Sweet man. Rember if you’re running a tekin type or castle esc we used to lower epa. So you might see some of that floating around as well. This concept is for when you use something like an r1 or also a castle when you need or can use 100 and more. Kind of a 2021-2022 comparison

    • @Dorkyand40
      @Dorkyand40  2 года назад

      No. Keep calibration the same. If you recailibrste then you’re just making the new epa the new 100. Does nothing.

I got so many revoltosd and millivolt osd I wanna run bf on. At least I think I remember you doing this anyways. Correct me if I'm wrong lol

      could only use 1 wire for the receiver. so no telemetry. it worked with crossfire and tracer..should be fine with elrs. you can get the wiring diagram off their website and it should be fine

    I don't drag race, but for most ESCs you calibrate it when you first hook it up and it makes the transmitter/receiver and ESC line up so that 150 EPA is where you get 100% of your throttle. If I set my EPA to 110 instead of 150 it means I'm losing a third of my power. You could have EPA at 150 but reduce the throttle "RATE" to 50 and you'll get 50% of that 150 power. This didn't make sense to me but maybe it's a drag racing thing? I don't have a Sanwa either so apparently I'm missing something.

  • @ChipPuccio

    FYI, Thanks for the content, but there needs to be a little clarification on point in the throttle speed feature. disregarding EPA or assuming it's 100%, P#'s 1-10 in the TH curve are equal to 10% throttle for each P#. So if your pt is 17, you may not launching at 17%, persee. You are launcing eomewhere between P1 and 2. If your p# are linear, 10,20,30,40, etc then 17% would be your launch. However, say your p2 was 50%. 17 Pt on radio skips p1 and hits starts 17 to50% alsmost.
    The point in radio moves along the x axis. Another example. Say you had p#1-3 curves of 20,30,40. If you had a point of 30 speed, you would launch at 40% throttle or p 3. Every 10% in point correlates to one P#. This is a common misunderstanding that a lot of users have.

    • @Dorkyand40
      @Dorkyand40  2 года назад +1

      Yeah for sure. P curve tuning gets to be another monster for sure. Then throw in r1 curve and start power. Boy it’s a lot. Lol.

    Do you still calibrate the esc with the radio set to 100 epa or no using this method?

    • @Dorkyand40
      @Dorkyand40  2 года назад

      Regular calibration. If you change the epa and then calibrate then it just sees that value as the new 100.
