  • As I delve into the intricate world of Multiple Sclerosis and the tantalizing prospect of remyelination, I often feel like I’m navigating a labyrinth of research that can be both confusing and enlightening. My journey has led me to explore various avenues, all while trying to keep my focus on what truly matters-finding potential solutions for remyelination.
    In 2021, I eagerly shared a video discussing the promising neuroprotective benefits of Lion's Mane extract. However, as I continued my research, I unearthed critical information about Clemastine, which raised alarms about the role of the M1 muscarinic receptor in inhibiting remyelination, prompting me to rethink my stance on Lion's Mane.
    Things have drastically changed! What is my stance on Lion's Mane now?

    23 years of MS for me:) disability... emotions mom of 3 and the unknown is the norm.
    A 'smart' engineer friend suggested LM (lion's mane) 20 years ago. I've gone back and forth about it. Then MS was invisible and tame... now it rears its ugly head frequently.
    You are brave! thanks for sharing your information 🧡 🦁🍄 🎉 cheers to re-mylenation!

    Int 0:02 eresting video Steve, thanks for posting. I have MS and have been taking Lions Mane every day for 5yrs since my diagnosis. I leaned about it from watching Paul Stamets on a Joe Rogan podcast and hearing his views on its potential for neurogenesis and re-myelination. glad to hear somebody else is trying it! I can’t attest to whether it’s working for me as thankfully I don’t suffer day today from any symptoms. I just assumed it wouldn’t do me any harm! We’ll see… !!

    Ands speaking of repair (remyelination), I am still waiting for you to discover the benefits of HBOT (Hyperbaric oxygen therapy). It is possible to have a 1.5 or 1.3 ATA chamber at home. At some point you will find out how useful HBOT can be for neurological repair.

    Hi Steve, fellow MS sufferer here, secondary progressive.
    Thank you for your videos, I have noticed that lions mane helps.
    I recommend checking out Terry Whals. She is an inspiration to me as she reversed her secondary progressive MS and got out of her wheelchair through changing her diet.
    Keep up the videos, we are not alone in this.

    Hi Steve, I just discovered your site - very well done and interesting. My comment - have you researched N-Acetylglucosamine, it appears it may be a very helpful remyelination agent, as well as an anti-inflammatory.

    I don’t know how many MS sufferers have severe muscle spams and pain. I know many of my friends did not. I unfortunately do. I’m hoping to calm the muscles, and battling with sleeping has been an issue for around 13 years. Soaking up all the knowledge I can.

    I think you would probably get a better result following an entire framework like Functional Medicine instead of reading studies and getting to focused on detailed pathways.
    Also focusing on remylination (with the help of Lion's mane, phoshoplipids and other nutraceuticals) does not take care of the underlying reasons behind your oxidative stress, chronic inflammation and epigenetic changes. I would suggest you look into Functional Medicine more.
    Your regimen is impressive Steve, but why not investigate/treat the underlying root causes for the imbalances?
    Microbiota, chronic infections, toxicity, IgG food allergies, etc etc. I know people that have reversed/stopped not only MS, but also ALS and other "incurable" diseases with this approach.
    Thats my take! Greetings from one of your first followers, that probably bother you too much these days ;)

    Hey Steve, I'm not going to even pretend about me knowing anything about what you're going through.
    But have you listened to Dr. Anthony Chaffee? He is a medical doctor who lives the carnivore lifestyle. He has episodes that discuss MS and how the carnivore diet helps to heal MS. He also discusses the many poisonous oxalates that are not good for humans found in plants and mushrooms as well. Let me know your opinion, you matter sir!

    • @SteveSolvesMS
      @SteveSolvesMS  29 дней назад

      Let's presume the Carnivore diet is good for MS. Then why are rates increasing and nobody is getting better?

      @@SteveSolvesMS uhm I don't know if you've been away for a while but for some strange reason meat is being looked at as unhealthy! That could be a very big reason why heart disease and MS is on the rise! They made fat unhealthy too, what happened after that? The populace started getting more unhealthy. Meat is protein! You need protein with all the essential amino acids to survive. Don't take my word for it, look it up and study it! I don't see lions and Eskimos dying of heart attacks!

    • @maxingmust2264
      @maxingmust2264 29 дней назад

      @@SteveSolvesMS most studies on people eating meat are not taking in to account the other unhealthy foods they are consuming. Alcohol, refined carbs, seed oils etc.
      I've just finished 3 months of carnivore where I ate fat, protein and celtic salt with water. Blood pressure is normal, my blood glucose levels are normal. Ask Dr Jordan Peterson and his daughter or look up their story. There are so many examples of healing. Don't be afraid to find out alternatives to what the MSM is telling you is healthy or not.

      I eat my fair share of protein-a cup of chicken and three whole eggs a day-but I stop there. Once you eat the protein you need, everything else is converted to sugar. That's why Keto doesn't work. Look up gluconeogenesis.
