There's a good chance it isn't normally a possibility to sleep there. That may have been a perk that only comes with a personal invitation from the department of tourism.
Yeah we totally agree - if you're going to experience a place - go all in! We have found couchsurfing really helps with this - we did it in Japan and really experienced something different :)

Absolutely loved the Philippines when I went over the summer with my friends. We started in Manila, went to Coron and El Nido, ended the trip in Puerto Princessa. Next time I go back I'd love to do the overnight camping on one of the islands.
I absolutely love the islands of the Philippines. It is so beautiful. Went to El Nido a not long ago and been desperately trying to go again and also visit Coron. Amazing place, such warm and friendly people.
Hello, those masks are from Decathlon in France and in some hospitals in France and Italy , they are used for covid patients instead of traditional masks ( due to shortage) and volunteers are 3D printing valves to connect them to ventilators . I was just talking to my friend the other day that I am going to start planning all the trips I want to take during this quarantine, and might have to add the Philippines on the list!
I lived on that place where that island located, its cheaper, you don't need to rent the whole boat though. If you're couple you can ride it with group of people for only 10 dollars each from Palompon Leyte , of course you need to bring your own food in which you can buy in the market and in grocery store located in the heart of the town, Bring your own camping tent as well for free overnight otherwise you can rent a tiny cabin on the Island.

Travel Hacking Teachers hi there! The Taal Volcano eruption happened a just few months ago around January if I’m correct. The badly affected areas were only the ones around it like Tagaytay City or Batangas province but I’m sure that majority is back to normal 😊 other places in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao (3 main island groups) aren’t affected at all! During this trying times, I have to say that seeing Kara's smile everyday brings a lightness to my heart. You take care of yourself and don't go back to traveling till it's safe.

Oh my goodness I went there as well last summer yet I was staying on this small island off the coast of Cebu called malapascua and we did some amazing scuba diving and saw 2 turtles!!

Oh my goodness I went there as well last summer yet I was staying on this small island off the coast of Cebu called malapascua and we did some amazing scuba diving and saw 2 turtles!!

Y’all probably don’t hear this enough, but kudos to you both for keeping up with your fitness while traveling so much! I’m sure a lot of your fitness routines are done in tight spaces or “on the road”. I think your viewership would enjoy seeing your “at home” (on the road) fitness routines seeing as the quarantines have all the gyms closed.

I actually live in the Philippines and i haven't seen this part of the Philippines which i so was so cool
I wound up cancelling a trip to Australia due to the virus, so being able to watch your videos while stuck at home has helped me not despair. There's a big, gorgeous world out there and I get to see a bit more of it through your channel, so thank you!
