I love that this was shot in mist and fog and not in bright sunlight. The fog and mist add a sense of drama that I think would be missed if this was shot in bright sunlight.

@Kuma Films this will seem initially maybe a dumb question but hope you can answer ; the last 3-5 yrs, I've seen freerider/DH skaters wearing (obvious) hard capped- kneepads ( 187s or triple8) UNDER thier skate jeans. Some even have just the caps exposed thru worn, blownout knee area. do you know if they're just forcing "187Killers" or some other hardshell pad, under their stretch jeans or is there an actual pants product that they are buying ? the great footage of this talented freerider in this video is sporting the way I mention ... if you check at 00:25 minutes , you can see what I mean. any idea what the solution is ? I need them as I'm learning , but hate wearing my tsg DH kneepads - they get SO HOT - so much that I would like to have something similar to the guy in your video. thanks & great content!
Hey Kuma, great video again! I love longboarding and skateboarding so I'd like to say that this video was not at your level. In my opinion it was really simple, I don't know if it caused by the direction because you didn't have some ideas about what to do or caused by the longboarder limitations, but anyway you should check the LoadedNewsletter and Simple Longboards channels, they have awesome videos with downhill and freestyle longboarding. Once more, you guys are great! I can't understand why your channel doesn't have more subscribers. Keep up with the good work.

I'll take snowboarding over long boarding any day. Not because I think one is more fun than the other, I'd just rather not lose a square foot of skin just for messing up.
+COBRA Don't get me wrong, I've seen the results of an extreme snow sport accident (cousin impaled herself on a tree). But when I'm learning, I can try new, difficult maneuvers without fear of being in immediate pain if I mess up. While learning, I can persevere in learning a new technique even though I only succeeded in falling down a mountain for half a day, and in the end I'll get it.
+COBRA Well, I've been snowboarding and in the first three days up on the mountain I started trying 360* turns on the ground (not jumps). On one attempt I ended up catching the edge of the board and flipping head over heels down the slope but I stood up and kept going without even a bruise. So yeah, I'd say snowboarding is more forgiving than longboarding.
Awesome video, but I feel like there should be a safety disclaimer in there somewhere. I can just see some kid watching this, and then getting hit by a car while trying to emulate the video, not realizing that y'all had a crew of other people and spotters watching out out for traffic, especially when going around all the blind corners. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
HeartlandRanchTV if a child doesn't know that it's dangerous to go longboarding in the middle of a well used road, that child is stupid and should not be allowed to leave his/her house without an adult. In fact, that child should not be allowed on the internet, period; and I don't think any child old enough to seek out a longboard so that they can "emulate the video" is that empty-headed. Should we put disclaimers on episodes of Spongebob cooking at the restaurant too? Children might burn houses down trying to make Krabby Patties. Disclaimer or not, children are curious and it's their parents' responsibility to monitor them and teach them about safety. Also, if children don't have the common sense to differentiate between what is dangerous and what is not, chances are this video will not be the only thing they have to worry about.
Amazing camera work, amazing skater :D. It's epic that a person can go down hill that fast on a board and do cool turns!

Here in NJ there are cars on all hills and the roads themselves are usually really winding so freeride is a staple for my friends and I.

I barely got my longboard less than a month ago and standies and 180 standies are the first thing I learned its easy if you jist go fast and go for it
I can kick my board out I just can't stay with it wen I do 180s
But I have my sitdowns tho
