- Mystery Track !!
^ Through his left eye, Keiji can see this mist . It’s coloured- a different shade for every person he touches with his bare skin . The Mist moves with the people, marking where they go and have went before he touched them ( with the mist loosing opacity the longer it has been since the person had been there . The trail stops at 6 months. )
^ The mist’s colour tells something about the person :
red : has recently touched huge amounts of blood
black : killing intent ( in that moment )
blue : weaker than Keiji
green : stronger than Keiji
yellow : same strength as Keiji
purple : interested in Keiji
pink : in love with keiji
white : not a person- a thing ( ex : clothing , a weapon )
grey : ?
brown : ?
cyan : ?
orange : ?
And then it has different shades of the colour for different people !! ( ex : dark blue for person 1 , light blue for person 2 ) And often the mist has more than one colour !!
^ Keiji is the one who choose which colour represented what … and there are still some other colours left ;) ( feel free to let Kenji choose some more colours !! )
DRAWBACKS :
- Keiji can only see the mist through his left eye
- He can only ‘mark’ 10 people at once ; if he touches more the one he’d touched first of the 10 gets replaced .
- Keiji can only activate the power when making direct skin contact with whatever he wants to mark.
- He gets overwhelmed with the mist if all the people he marked are in the same place
- once something is chosen for a colour, it cannot be changed .

PERSONALITY :
Keiji is quite shy, not usually being the one to start the conversation. He is awkward, often missing what people what from him or not understanding their questions. Despite his rather quiet personality, his thoughts are always racing, taking in everything around him at all times. He has a lot of stims , such as tapping his foot, playing with his hair, wringing his hands or playing around with the ring he’s wearing. People often get the impression he’s nervous when he’s really not .
When working, Keiji’s quiet personality is replaced with a confident, commanding one. He solves every case swiftly but throughly , locking in on them and not stopping until he’s finished. He can get quite intense and impatient with the people around him if the case is taking especially long .
FLAWS :
- Apathy
Keiji is apathetic about anything that doesn’t have to do with cases or things he likes, and while he isn’t outright mean, he doesn’t try to act like he’s interested either. This makes it hard to connect with people who don’t have the exact same interests as him.
- Recklessness
Keiji can get quite reckless when locked in, neglecting his own health ( by not sleeping or eating ) and doing everything to catch a killer, even if it’s dangerous to himself OR others.

Keiji doesn’t think he is very smart , due to him mainly remembering his trouble with social interaction rather than his ability to solve cases . He gets ashamed every time anyone calls him smart, because he feels like he’s tricking them.

SECRETS : He often can’t bring himself to enjoy his job anymore, and feels horrible for it. Keiji feels like he’s betraying himself by being burnt out. Because he’s supposed to enjoy it- So why can’t he? He used to love it so much ..

BACKSTORY :
Growing up, Keiji always loved Detectives. He was obsessed with Sherlock Holmes, and practically ate up anything related to Murder Mysteries and Detectives. He watched every movie and read every book, no matter how bad. He even wrote his own stories !! But every time someone told him he’d make a good author, he always insisted that he would be a detective!
It was his dream!
And one day, that dream became reality. He was walking home from school, when he came across a crime scene. A murder. The police were at a dead end. They interrogated three suspects at the scene , but they couldn’t tell who did it. The case was impossible.
Seeing this, Keiji snuck into the crime scene when the officers backs were turned, and touched the bloody knife- the murder weapon. The white mist trail lead him right to the suspect- But the police of course wouldn’t listen to him when he told them who did it. So, to prove he was right, he told them about his Magic Ability, despite knowing that it was dangerous for people to know about his Arcane .
After proving he really did have an Ability, they immediately arrested the killer. Keiji was ecstatic- having gotten a taste of his detective dream! It was the best thing ever, and he was excited and happy for the rest of the week. He couldn’t wait to grow up and actually get to do his dream job !!
Unbeknownst to him, one of the officers on the case had informed the chief detective of Keiji and his Ability. The Chief saw the potential in Keiji, and thus began planning…
The next day, 9 year old Keiji was offered a position as a detective. In training, of course- But the offer was real nonetheless. And so Keiji began training- Or well, solving cases, really. The in trqining part was only on paper. After all, having a child be a detective was a bit too far, even if the Chief Detective was allowed to hire him solely because of his useful ability.
At first, Keiji was really excited! His dreams- They were coming true! And so so much faster than he would have thought!! But after a month or two, his excitement.. dimmed. He was getting tired of seeing dead bodies every day .. Not having any free time anymore. Sure, he loved being a detective- But… this was getting exhausting…
He just wanted a break, but they didn’t even grant him one when he asked. Keiji was being ran ragged all day, only for the cycle to repeat the next. He solved more cases than anyone, and a lot of officers respected him and were nice to him, but he was so exhausted.
No matter how much he loved it, everything was just too much for the nine year old …
But he had to live with it. By the time he was 10, he was used to it. It was his life now. He enjoyed solving crimes. And sure, he wanted to do other things too, maybe write a book or watch some shows…
But that was childish. And unimportant. He was bringing Justice to the dead by solving crimes and arresting killers- His work was much more important than some stupid childish wants. After all, his ability was the only valuable thing about him. Who cared about Keiji? No one. People only needed his power.

ADDITIONAL INFO :
- Keiji is both small, physically weak and gets sick easily ; he doesn’t take care of himself very well
- Keiji often has nightmares
- He’s desensitised to Death / Murder , as he deals with brutal murders daily . It’s not as bad as it actually is in his mind anymore .
- He’s never played it himself, but he LOVES the Ace Attorney Games !! ( mostly the investigating part ( his favourite character is Franziska ))
- Keiji feels like anything that isn’t his work just..isn’t important, because that’s what the officers and detectives he worked with taught him. The only valuable thing about him is his ability .
- Keiji would totally grow out his hair, but the officer always wants him to cut it short so ‘he sees well’ . That’s not really the reason, the chief detective just wants to control small aspects like his hair about Keiji to show his superiority and feel better than a literal 11 year old.
If it gets longer during the fangan , he wouldn’t cut it again .
- The scar on his cheek comes from a suspect that manages to harm him before getting apprehended. Since the injury was close to his eye, he was immediately shipped off to the hospital and stayed there for a week until he could open his eye without hurting himself again. It was the first and only time he got a vacation.
- Keiji heals SUPER slowly, due to him just not eating enough, therefore not having a lot of nutrients and energy in his body . A mere paper cut takes weeks to fully heal , thought it does stop hurting after a few days .
- Keiji dresses like a stereotypical detective .. he has to special order most of his clothes because they don’t usually get sold in his size ..
- Keiji often does this pose kinda thing he does in the video when using his powers !!

HOW DID THEY HEAR ABOUT ARCANE ACADEMY : They briefly heard about it from some Magical Beings he met on his job . He only applied in hopes of expanding his abilities .
REACTION TO A KILLING GAME : Shocked. Would do his best to figure out the mastermind/traitor/potential killers, and stick to those he deems trustworthy- which are very few .
WOULD MAKE THEM KILL : nothing . Maybe being tricked by some kind of trap , but he isn’t very easy to fool
OPINION ON NON-MAGICAL BEINGS & OPINION ON MAGICAL BEINGS : He doesn’t make a difference between Non Magical and Magical beings. They’re all just people trying to live their lives, who cares about abilities or not .
