Can confirm that Golden Tempest drops Verve Talismans, Phemeto did a lot of testing and released a list of what Talisman Skills drop from what monsters.
Oh and for that talisman with the 11% release for the katana, it is in akikure, starting from the ancient well in kusho ji temple its up in that tall tower you can see from the well. the talisman is leaning against the wall of the tower near the top so it can be hard to see.
Hey man thanks! I beat tempest with your help haha. I had heard of this build, but I liked your support one. Wasn't getting any homies to support so I tried this and got em first try. Good vids.
The recent improvement to the katana are amazing. Not only did it get damage buffs, but you used to end up far away from the monster when you did the sunder slash move, which you need to be doing a lot because it has s, but now that they added the lunge after that attack, you can just stay stuck to the monster. But as far as the bombs go, I feel like you could do more damage with traps and harpoons just using your weapon while it's stuck in place than you can using bombs, that's just my opinion looking at the damage numbers here from the bombs.
I have actually been running an incredibly similar build since release. I typically spam bombs on every kemono because it's just +dps and ablaze feels great.
Saving this build to try it after finishing wo long ! Torn between the sticking to katana or the nodachi tho, kinda feel the nodachi needs a big damage buff
Nodachi doesnt need damage buffs at all. It hits pretty good damage already. You should use karakuri when playing nodachi. Like celestial stab after using the box or the spinning slash after using the spring helps fill up the iai gauge pretty fast. It is one of the most satisfying weapon to play, imagine jumping over a sweeping attack and then using a downward attack immediately followed by a full charged slash. Very fun to play
Ahh mybad I may have not been clear about that. I meant that using the bomb in coop could cause some issues because you can launch your teammates. I would swap it out for a heal or a shield.
If any katana main here would love to share their cheese moveset we would appreciate it. Like if you guys know any trick to build up the meter fast. Please share. Or if there’s any trick with glider or celestial anchor like most weapons lol
I'm not sure if there are any cheese movesets like the other weapons. Katana's light + special attack combo is pretty much the bread and butter. It does the best damage and equally important it builds back thread the fastest. I find that a harpoon and good timing can net 2 full attack combos on almost all kemonos. Dual master can build gauge faster but their is so little applications of it. I assume it exist on talismans but I've never seen one.
The Iai slash combo builds gauge the fastest, first box jump takes 5 seconds to initiate, then it takes 2.5 seconds for each box jump, while twin blade storm x3 takes 7.5 seconds to complete, damage for all have a difference of 20-40 damage
You can immediately jump after landing and finishing the Celestial Anchor attack in the air, and do the attack over and over again. The better the Celestial Anchor, the more attacks you can get in. With a good crit build, it can melt the final boss (or any other big kemono) I haven't done extensive testing though but it sure is fun playing Aerial Katana.
Verve increases damage less then desperation, no idea why but if you have equal percentage on both desperation is a higher increase in attack, also karakuri fusions have set damage values and harpoon does more damage then star bomb
Desperation is for sure the way to go for pure damage if you don't get hit a lot. I just prefer the armor skills you get from human builds over the raw damage and defense loss.
how the heck can you do the slash and bomb and not blow up? I tried a bunch of times and different ways just to make sure and I always blow up. I set-up and quickly go into the slash like you do but explosion in my face only lol
lol no worries man, once you put it down hit the heavy attack and then quickly hit the right trigger or L2 to cancel it into the slash. it does take a bit of practice but once you get it it'll be hard to not do it.
Cannot do it either, i'm pressing iai slash (Y) and then RT to instantly cancel but still getting hit, doesn't matter wich timing i use, also i can see at 0.5 speed that the start of your char animation doesn't start with the Y attack, but the RT attack instantly instead
@@WhateverYouSayAlex i mean i'm canceling correctly at all kinds of timings to test and still hitting me, pretty sure it's gotta be related to armor or something, i got 198 def and desperation build, have you tried this without armors at all for example?
Good build will have to try it out but as a side note the damage you are doing on the bear training dummy is not the damage you will be doing on actually mighty/volatile monsters because the bear's defense is equal to a level one monsters like ragetail.

Yeah the nodachi is wierd, I keep trying to figure out how to play that thing but it just doesn't click with me.

Nice 😎👍
Nice video, thanks for sharing you mentioned changing some things to bring this to group play,
I think I missed it, what were those changes?

@@WhateverYouSayAlex Oh no I'm a maul main please understand we aren't known for comprehension. I'll give the heals a try!

You can unbound during Triple Crate jump slash to extend the uptime of your dps. Applies to spring karakuri as well.

What is the music you use at the end of your vids?
It's background music from Super Metroid, I forget the name of the track at the moment.
Why not use white claw helm and boots lavaback chest and amaterasu gloves and waist?
How'd you get the samurai armor ornaments?
It's the amaterasu armor.
@Whatever You Say Alex no I mean you got two armor sets on , and I wanted to know how you earn that?
where do u get the white fang armor from
its the amaterasu armor, just got it dyed.

This shit is annoying in multiplayer lol
Lol ppl don’t like build
