Everything you do is always perfection. I have never followed a chef where every single thing I’ve ever made turned out amazing. My family loves you because u made Mom a better cook! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇦
I just made this for tomorrow’s thanksgiving dinner...It’s delicious! I used two 8” by 1” foil pans with a cookie sheet underneath and it came out great.
I made this last night and it was amazing, everyone licked their plates off! Thank you so much Natasha, I always love trying your recipes. They're always a winner for me ❤
I made this for Thanksgiving and it was perfection. Everybody went for this first and it was a huge hit. I followed the recipe for the crust, as well - it was so simple. I doubled the cinnamon in the crumble and the apple filling, added a hair more sugar and salt to the crumble mixture. This will be made again and again - thank you Natasha!
I LOVE all of your recipes! I made this because I had your pie crust in my freezer. And let me tell you, this is the best recipe ever! I've been here for a while now and not a single one of your recipes was a fail! Can't wait for more videos!
Oh my!! Just watched your video with my daughter! Going to make this for Thanksgiving. I’ve been sugar free since June, but, I will be “backsliding” on that day!!! Not blaming anyone for this incredible temptation 😂 but, a small treat in celebrating gratefulness to God, I’m sure He will smile!!! Thank you for this video! ♥️
Update: I made this last night in a Dutch oven on a camping trip with my church group. I left off the bottom crust and basically made it like a cobbler. I doubled the topping recipe. It was amazing and it was actually pretty resilient to burning because of the water content in the apples. Thanks, Natasha! (Maybe you could do a little series of recipes adapted to outdoor cooking?)
I made it today. It's baking in the oven right now 😅 I'll tell you the results... Also I made the classic apple pie according to your recipe and everyone loved it ❤❤❤ Thank you so much Edit: It was absolutely delicious ❤ my family loved it and my friend and her family also loved it..... 🎉
That was my husband’s favorite pie for me to bake. Sometimes I would add a few canned peaches with the fresh apples 🍎 and it was so good. I’d rather have Dutch than a flour crust and it’s easier to make.
Apple pie a’la mode is always a treat, BUT... if you’re in a more savory kinda mood, try a warm slice of this pie with several slices of cold sharp cheddar cheese... these two flavors take this over the top! Thank you Natasha, for always making our favorite recipes that much better!
I've made this twice now in the past two weeks for friends and family, and it's amazing! The only note I would add would be that you might need more than an hour to cool the pie. The first one I made at night and then served it at lunch the next day and it was obviously cool and it was perfectly "set" and held in slices. The one I made last night, I let cool for about an hour and 15min on a rack, and it was still 150F internal at an hour out of the oven. If I did it again, I might target two hour cool time to have it still be warm, but possibly set and "pretty". Thank you!
Every time I've cooked this pie, like she said it is number one on the list for me to cook every holiday season. Thank you so much Natasha I just love it😃🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍👍

I also pre-prepare apples we get at the orchard earlier in the fall, and freeze them for the holidays. They work well for my dutch apple pie every time!

OK, I have made this version of apple pie 3 times. I wanted to make sure it was not just a fluke. This is really good and so worth the extra time to make the "sweet roux" or gravy. It has turned out perfect each time. I now have one in the freezer unbaked. We will see how that works out!!
Thank you for another fantastic recipe Natasha. My husband was blown away by it! Your recipes are so easy to follow and you’re definitely my “Go to” channel on RUclips. Thank you so much. Much love from the UK ❤️❤️❤️
It looks really tasty, but living in the Netherlands, I can tell that it's not the usual kind of apple pie that you would expect over here. Dutch apple pies in the NL are made with ½-inch chunks of apples instead of slices, more cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg are required, no nuts but maybe a few raisins if you want to go nuts, and you serve it with whipped cream. Edit: Look up "appeltaart" on RUclips to see how we do it.
Thanks for sharing that with us and for your input. I can try that next time but for now, this is the recipe that we love but we’re always looking to improve our recipes so thanks for that. ❤️
The appeltaart (apple pie) that appears in the first Dutch cookbook, _Een notabel boecxken van cokeryen_ was printed in Brussels in 1514. That recipe was contributed to the _Rijksmuseum Cookbook_ by Dutch pastry master and TV chef Rudolph van Veen and notes slices of apples. I don't see where nutmeg was used, but 100 grams of raisins, yes. I'm sure it can be made various ways.

Hi Natasha, I lived in the Netherlands for almost 20 yrs now, so I can say that this is not the typical Dutch apple pie. Their apple pie always covered with dough. You're combining apple pie with apple crumble.

I made your Dutch apple pie recipe this morning. It was the first time that I ever used granny smith apples for a pie. In the past I would always use cortland and golden delicious apples. The granny smith apples in this pie are delicious and the pie was great. I think next time I would add some raisins. The only issue I had with this recipe was that I had to bake it a lot longer to get it to 175 degrees. I baked it at 375 for 55 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 10 minutes more, and 5 minutes more to get to the right temperature. It all worked out in the end, and it is a fantastic tasting apple pie. Thanks for the recipe. You are two for two with me for the pie recipes that I have tried. I will have to see what other recipes of yours that I will try. Have a great day!
I’m glad you loved the recipe! Every oven can bake differently. If you don’t already have one, I highly recommend using an internal oven thermometer. a.co/d/gxapStM Make sure your oven is fully preheated before baking. I hope that helps.

Made 2 Apple Pies with your recipe last nite! 😋 Gave one to my Son to take back to college. Hubby & I are enjoying the other one! It's sooo GOOD! 👍🏾
Lovely! I’m you all enjoyed it. 😊
I tried Dutch oven with my wife. Somehow she didn't like it
First time I’ve made it to a premiere . I’m excited 🏴🏴
If you don’t already have one, I highly recommend using an internal oven thermometer. a.co/d/gxapStM
Make sure your oven is fully preheated before baking. I hope that helps.
I've made this 3 times now in the last two months, and everyone goes GAGA over it. Best ever!!!
That’s great
baked this for thanksgiving && now i’m stuck making pies 😂😂 my in-laws loved it so that’s a good sign.
