Hey Dellpoint, for many years, with several os, i can use my officedock, thanks to your description- works fantastic
Thank you very much!
best regards Chris, Falkensee Germany
Thanks! It worked for me the second time. (Be careful. When you first plug in the dock, Windows copies the old driver from the device onto your C: drive and asks you if you want to install it. You have to say no to that step, otherwise it will overwrite the new driver that you have just installed.)
Hey @Dellpoint, many thanks for the files, the video explaining what to do and the solution!!! :)
It was annoying when you've got some hardware that you cannot use because they don't release something they know could make it work.
Much appreciated mate! Thanks
Worked great for the video. Still no audio or ethernet, but at least it's more than a fancy USB hub now.
Remember to execute dpinst.exe in all folders..
Much thanks. also in the last folder it will create 2 folders. place the file in the appropriate 32/64bit folder of the system you are on
Thanks work perfect on windows 10 x64 !
Still works - thanks for the download links to the older drivers.
I tried this www.marcuslausch.de/2016/07/31/kensington-k33926-sd400v-unter-windows-10/
but couldn't extract the contents of the installer (my guess its too new for uniextract...).
But whats funny is that every time I connect the SD400V to my PC I get a message balloon telling me the device doesn't work anymore and where to get a new one. Just a few seconds later it works fine anyway...
Extracting is possible by opening the exe-file by using 7-Zip as "explorer". But, on my system, the ethernet doesn't work... 🙄
What did you do with the driver you dowloaded at step 2 ?
When I try to install the video driver (x64) it now gives an error. It used to work fine. I mainly used the docking station to reroute the video through an external monitor so it has become rather useless for me now. Does anyone have a solution for this?
It also seems to be impossible to extract the installers from the 5.5 version. Uniextract comes up with an error message :(
Beware of Intel HD Graphics. It will undo it straight off and you'll lose the DisplayLink monitor.
