Well done Chris, lots of hard work put it on this one 👏🏻 😂
“And then I couldn’t be bothered anymore” this is such a mood and us every time we do DIY 😂
The bits are looking great, exciting to see it coming together! 😊
Is it really coming together though?? Haha hopefully...I'm itching to get my cruise on iv had the hump all week, suppose I better start dishing in more, cheers duuudes
Thank goodness y’all got someone to help with the roof and hatches! Soon you’ll have a finished kitchen and we can’t wait to see it!!!!
fingers crosses, what great job on the roof...so happy, lets hope the hatches come out just as great :)
Shoutut to the talent, he done a proper nice job, especially for mobile work.
what a great job, very impressed :)
Scaffolder here. They are called board bands.. Love the channel! New subscriber here!
Thanks so much 😊
Hi Becca Chris,it’s about time Chris you got someone in who knows what he is doing as we all know you don’t 😂 Fibreglass is the best thing you can use especially on anything that get vibration is so strong when finished, this guy is so much better the Maverick do t you think 🤔 Becca not sure if I like you repair on the wood you are trying to make it look rustic please don’t take offence Becca, but would not it look great with a nice piece of rustic work top ,well done guys looking forward to the end product take care keep yourself safe,John 🌹👀🫢🤫😏💐😒😞😔😟
yes its great to finally have someone who can do a great job, I still have faith in the Maverick if he ever shows up again, I think he just had a bad day, Yeah hes done an amazing job on the roof, very impressed, im sure Becca won't take offence.take care...fingers crosses for cruising soon :)
Great work, not a "crobodge" in sight and loving Becca's splash backs.
Thanks for the encouragement :)
Chris, when you say 'we', is that the 'Royal We'? Love the improv, Beca! I think those metal strips are called straps, or braces, or bands, or whatever the heck you want to call them. Anyway you look at it, your idea to use them was brilliant!
BTW: Enjoyed the wilderness-fire building-camping in the wilds episodes. Hope to see more in the future.
Hang in there kids, everything is coming along beautifully, as long as you now your limits and who to call with experience and the 'right tools'.
Take care be well until the next one ~ Mike, Lacy & Hamish🐾
Oh yes its a big Royal WE..haha good old Bex...shes so clever with her ideas, oh im sure Becca will be completely out of control with her survival wilderness shenanigans once we get out, thanks for enjoying our progress :)
I really love those metal straps back on the boards again, especially the ones with the printed letters on. Looks really cool! Also you can stick magnets to them to affix your shopping lists and whatnot. 😊
Ooh that's such a great idea!!! Thanks so much for suggesting it. Off to find my magnets!
Wow we worked really hard on that patch and the hatches - yes WE - I was watching so that counts doesn’t it?? ❤
yes it does...you done very well too...WE all done it together...while I sat back and filmed haha
A very useful #HowTo Video Chaps ...... And NOW! - You CAN! 👍🤠
we actually can yay cheers Pete
Yes always easier when you have the right Kit for the job. With so many jobs on your boat , you need so much kit , you would probably need another boat to store them all on . The rustic Worktop is coming together. You do like your Rustic Look Becs , is that what attracted you to Chris ? Remembering how much Glue you put on those Hatch doors , I don’t think trying to get the Plywood off again will be much fun ( make a Good Video though ! ) . Hope everything is staying water tight , now the rain is here with a vengeance. Cheers Folks
I always said to Becca we could do with another boat just to store stuff in, yes I'm very rustic and that's why she loves me oh so much haha...yes it's certainly going to make for a good video trying to prise my lovely hatches off, thanks for enjoying 😉 😊
I normally watch my subscriptions before I get up but now Henri wants to watch so I watch on the big TV but I can’t comment on there. Is Chris an Australian, it was bloody good of you to help him. LOL. Lesson learned there now you can do that work all yourself. That’s so good the side hatches are pretty much sorted. Fun vlog guys loved it, so did Henri. Take care and see you soon. 💕
oh amazing thanks for sharing us, yes chris is from Sydney, iv picked up some great skills for when I come to do it, thanks so much for enjoying see you in the next one Pauline
Looking great guys! 🤩
cheers guys :)
Good job the boat is coming along.
its a slow old process but were getting there, cheers
Glad to see you doing so well on the boat now you know how to do stuff i expect you to do all kinds of dyi fixes Chris. Becca does great work looking good there lady, see you next time Cheers Ed 40 S of Vegas.
Well still along way to go with the DIY...but I'm learning. Becca does amazing bless her, hi from the UK... we both went to Vegas a few years back.. what a crazy place
Landlubber vs professional repair - great before & after comparison -
haha...it takes time to learn these tricks....time that we dont have... what a great job on the roof :)
Normally you can't say that as soon as you've seen someone doing something you can do the same. But you have proved that YOU can...
haha exactly, cheers Rolf....hopefully this is the kick we need to get stuff sorted a bit quicker :)
great work done by body work Chris, made it look so easy, looks great
Yeah he did a grand job on that!
😊 All Good 🥂
Metal Banding, similar to wood edge banding but more for protective purposes!
Ace! Thanks John 🙂
glad you have learnt something Chris your better at editing than filling 👍
haha absolutely ...im awful at filling, but it was my first time, next time im going in hard haha cheers Phil
Hole looks MUCH better!! hope its ok when the roof gets hot in summer etc... time will tell.. :)
yes hopefully or were bk to step 1 haha
“Call the paramedics “ 😂 You did great Chris, with the help of Chris the expert! I foresee them offering you a job soon. 😁 Becca as always working away. Love the idea of using the straps, that will add a nice touch. Just a thought, but I wouldn’t buy Chris any power tools for Christmas 🎄…..maybe next year. Great video and editing. So glad things are coming along. 😊🤗 Kathy
thanks so much, yes I shouldn't be trusted near to many power tools...I need to work my way up gently haha, Becca has done absolutely amazing...so full of ideas bless her...thanks Kathy
Yes, Becca, "teethy bitey thing" is the correct technical term. 😆
As to mixing paint....whoa...Chris ventures in where angels fear to tread. Oh, by the way, real men DO use...well, maybe not Marigolds, but gloves when gloves are called for. Also, power tools aside, there's real man painting too. Whole worlds of adulthood to discover! Or not. 🤣
I like teethy bitey thing! It has a ring to it!
Oh yes so much for Chris to discover!
Hi Becca, Chris, another great Vlog, and so well edited too. Well done Becca on your sink top now that you have fixed the issues. Its looking great. Well done to Chris and Specialist Chris, for sorting out the hatches, and for doing a great repair on the roof. So pleased for you both. Take care.
thanks so much, was lovely to finally try and get that horrible hole sorted, one thing leads to another....suppose thats boat life , just itching to get cruising now , take care
Because you are a marvel well done 👍
thank you :)
Another great blog guys!
Here’s a little hint for you.
If you ever have new wood which you want to make look old. Simply put a Brillo-type steel wool pad (use the type without soap) on them. Put one into a jar of white vinegar, replace the lid and leave it overnight.
The following day, remove the steel wool pad and paint the solution onto the wood. It doesn’t look anything at first but come back two hours later and WOW, you have old timber.
Wow that sounds amazing! I'm definitely going to give that a try at some point. Thanks so much Henry 🙂
Very interesting as always.
thanks for enjoying :)
If you have any leaks around your hatches or windows go online to seals direct they are really good. We had a leak around a window on our boat. Bought new seals problem sorted.
Oh amazing thank you Will write that down...the seals will definitely need doing soon
Bec . Have you seen Narrowboat Will ‘s latest video. A really good ’Get-a-round’ when the Jigsaw blade was catching on something under the timber he was trying to cut.
Ooh no I haven't, thanks il take a look 🙂
I gave up trying to colour match years ago. I just repaint the whole area, more work but it save load of frustration at the little odd bit.
In the end you end up repaining the whole bloody thing haha...I think that's what we will do next year
I'm not sure how i feel about this level of professionalism aboard this week's Nomadic Crobodge. 😉
Good job guys. 👍
its not right is it haha...its ok im sure there will plenty of disasters to follows, thanks
Patch repair does look great
its awesome , now we just need the colour
How great to get a little help. We’ll done guys
thanks, its been a very productive week
Metal teethie thing 🤔... is called a metal band or metal strapping used to stop scaffolding boards from splitting.
Haha! I've become quite partial to metal teethy bitey thing!!!!
Top video guys. Specialist Chris definitely knows his stuff, great job 👏. Glad you’re finally getting those hatches to behave 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
cheers buddy, so happy to finally have proper closer of the horrible hatches ...they have been driving me mad haha
@@TheNomadicCrobot haha I bet they have. One of those things that lingers in your mind non stop.
Becks they are called metal straps they stop the end of the wood from splitting 🤗
Thanks Paul! Although I am still partial to teethy bitey things!!
Bex ! What an amazing job you’ve done there girly ! You truly are a clever thing! So excited to see it all completed!
Chris real men do wear marigolds! I’ve seen you with them on! Your still very hard on your self with the diy! You try and no one can ask for more ! Look at how far you’ve come !!! See you in the next one my lovelies:)😊x
Aww thanks so much Mandy. I appreciate your supportive words.
I say exactly the same to Chris. There's no failure in trying. Thanks lovely x
They’re called Scaffold board bands 😉
Thanks Toby
A HOLE new level of Crobochaos
oh yes...you have come to the right place ha
Beck, you shouldn't have called him the right tool 😅
Haha!!!!
4:11 Don't listen to that man. 😂
what a silly thing for him to say haha
I’d love to be a crevice specialist.
haha...same here
Haha Chris is right, real men don’t use marigold’s 👍👍
neverrrrr haha
@@TheNomadicCrobot 🤪
So nice to see all the progress. Good to know when to bring someone in to help move forward. Chris he needed your help too. What a nice trade and new friendship made. Becca countertop taking on a nice vib. Best wishes to you both. Deb
yes were all good at certain things, DIY certainly isent mine, though I do really try with it...it just always goes horribly wrong, but we learn with every go, take care see you on the next one...episode 100 coming up believe it or not...its mad
Metal straps, that'll do.
yeah I think so haha
becca use biscuits ;)
It is biscuited!! 😂
@@TheNomadicCrobot lol more biscuits
I’ve heard it called “strapping” because it’s strapped around what ever the thing it on.
Thanks Vik!
@@TheNomadicCrobot hehe I’m not going to say what I wanted to say hehe, it would be to rude and possibly to “DIK-ish”
BWWWWWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH lol
Gusset plate
I had to look this up as I thought it was a jokey comment, only to realise it is actually a proper name! Thanks Suzanne!
“Real men don’t use Marigolds “. Obviously a cowboy 😋
obviously hasn't got a clue haha
you can use epoxy, look for videos on youtube becca.
Oh is this for the gaps due to warpidge do you mean?
@@TheNomadicCrobot yeap there are RUclips videos of tables made with epoxy

Using an angle grinder without any eye protection is really stupid. It's a good idea to use a side handle too. Less chance of it flying out of your hands if the grinding wheel hits something.
You are absolutely right Michael. It's too easy to forget about protective gear when you get stuck into something. Thanks for the reminder and tip too.
Yeah, you want to take a look at your bothers tool kit mate....
It would definitely help haha
@@TheNomadicCrobot he has more tools on his desk that you have in your whole life 😂😂😂
Chris may I ask how many years you spent at college to become a professional Bodger. 😂😂
oh iv got a full on degree... im dangerous haha
