Personally speaking, Cody is a better chaser than chased. If he dropped the belt to AJ at Clash, it would set up a whole big storm of events that could build towards him winning it back a few months later, and allow AJ one final hurrah before he finally does go call it a day. I do think Trips could call back to more Attitude era title runs, which were often abbreviated but impactful.
I think they would face off at Money In The Bank. I think the best thing is to have the World title defended at Clash and the WWE title at MITB since both events are only a couple of weeks from each other. Clash is on June 15 and MITB on July 6 which is about a month away.
Cody was a costumed bore in AEW and he's sold that persona to wwe. Respect 😅
AJ is a fantastic heel in WWE. Going to be interesting to see if he makes an appearance at TNA with these talent exchanges.

Would it be crazy levels of convoluted and messy? Probably? Could it be boatloads of fun and give us never-before-seen matches? Also probably! Is there even a slight possibility that it’ll happen? Not at all, but it’s fun to fantasy book lol

I absolutely loved this segment. When he whispered something to Cody it was obvious he wouldn't retire right now, yet his acting was still great and I don't mind a rematch since there's a good reason for it.
A decent set-up for Cody vs Randy at HotMania:
Cody beats Styles by DQ at CatC (let's say OC interference). DQ? Nope! Restart the match. OC gets thrown out, Cody catches the Phenomenal Forearm with an RKO. Hits two Cross Rhodes, gets the pin.
We build towards MitB, with the hint that Orton might come back and win the briefcase.
LWO plays the heel role, start winning a bunch of matches with distractions and heel tactics.
At the same time, Andrade is clearly getting frustrated.
He snaps, turns heel, joins LWO and becomes their leader.
They attack, basically everyone backstage, and Cody calls out Andrade.
He says this is his show, he's the face of SD Live, so he's here to settle things.
LWO destroys the crew on their way out. Other wrestlers get wiped out.
Cody is vastly outnumbered and his friends aren't on SD. So he talks, he asks 'what can we do to fix this?' Andrade says "a world title match" and Cody agrees. Then they beat the hell out of him to end the show.
At MitB, Cody wins, but LWO is circling. Sami and Jey (it's a PlE, so they're in the building) come down, but it's still too much.
Orton returns, and the good guys stand tall.
Orton, technically, doesn't have to wrestle before HotMania, so we build with promos.
Randy says that Cody talks about Dusty every time he opens his mouth. And he says, that's because he was a great man and a good wrestler.
But Orton is a good man and a great wrestler. He's not always been the nicest person, but he helped Cody more than anyone.
In fact.. he helped Cody more than Dusty. He was more of a father to Cody from the day Cody arrived in WWE. And it's because of Randy that Cody found his own voice and finished his own story.
Randy's not going to ask for a title match, even though that's the least Cody could do to repay him.
He's going to LET Cody "do the right thing". Cody agrees, and offers his hand. They shake, but Orton hits an RKO. He grabs the mic and says something like you do the right thing FOR YOU. THIS is the right thing FOR ME. And he punts Cody.
For the next two weeks, Cody's off TV, and Orton beats down some baby faces, leading up to their match.
At the go-home show, Cody returns, and they brawl to end the show.

I think you do aj vs cody 2 at clash of castle and 3 in a gimmick match at Money In The Bank.
You could The Rock but I think it happens at wrestlemania or Royal Rumble. Even though he still needs to grow you could have solo win the title with the rock helping so solo is rock's guy with haku's sons...and then cody can win it back later before facing the rock...
You can do randy orton, otherwise there probably is no one who makes sense for cody at summerslam

I was expecting AJ to ask for something maybe a title vs retirement match or some way to build towards a last title match but I was not expecting the beatdown. I loved it.
What about uncle howdys crew? Couldn't they be built up fairly quickly to go after cody? That would be 6 vs 1, stacking the odds against cody like that would be a credible threat.
I think the issue is more that Cody went to smackdown. There are more people that feel like they could be contenders on Raw.
Cody vs Nick Aldis. That’s the one to do.
The problem is, it's hard to create a credible threat for Cody right now, which was the problem long before he became champ. I almost wonder if he has to somehow turn heel before losing to someone new.

You can't help but compare it to Mark Henry's. It just can't be helped because of the similarities. However, having The Good Brothers suddenly on good terms with AJ was a pretty big giveaway of what we were in for...that and AJ recently saying he wants to be the most hated guy on the roster. Does that mean the segment couldn't still be enjoyed for what it was? Absolutely.
BLOODLINE (ROMAN, JIMMY, JEY AND MAYBE RIKISHI) AND SAMI VS BULLET CLUBLINE (SOLO, THE GORILLAS OF DESTINY AND JACOB FATU AND THE ROCK)
I think its good they did this its cements Aj's heel turn and puts Cody in a proper feud for the title which is good for his run instead of one off matches until he
gets to Roman or The Rock
You still have two PLEs before SummerSlam.
I honestly feel like AJ will win at Clash via some shenanigans, and Cody will win it back at hot WrestleMania, the even formally known as Summer Slam. It will be a great way for the WWE to send off AJ, and for AJ to put over Cody even more.
Have AJ win it, and do the trilogy at Summerslam with some kind of big stipulation. Maybe AJ’s retirement on the line if he loses (if he’s ready for that outside of the storyline)
Surely they need to set up another PPE in France REALLY fast if AJ is going to win the title.. they were really funny singing for the Phenominal One..
I agree not that i want Roman to come back and take a tittle or that i want to see him do a one to one of The John Cena US Open Challenge. But more than a storyline right off the bat i’d like to see Roman come in and Blow up the mid card by putting on Bangers one after the other with the Up and Comers before he gets embroiled with the new Blood in the Bloodline
Like four or five weeks eight matches if hes bouncing from Raw Smackdown or NXT and they wouldn’t have to be all in a row but it would push him as a new man here for the fans and the sport and the impact of his legacy

I think the best way to bring Reigns back is by having Paul be taken out by Solo. Then when Paul returns he brings Reigns back with him making both men look like heroes.
I also think WWE should do something with Creed similar to that of Mark Henry's Halls of Pain. I think it would be cool to see Henry come back to WWE and be a manager to Creed.
.... So why TF are gallows and Anderson back with styles? Didn't they split up like 2-3 months ago and everyone not named AJ disappeared immediately off TV
It actually pretty easy to book Cody, Randy and Gunther if you think about it.
They can play off the botch that Randy shoulders were not down all the way and let them have a triple threat.
I think Karrion Kross needs a push. Get rid of that ridiculous Kross jacket finisher and push this Final Testament faction with Paul Ellering. If that character is handled properly it would be a good feud for Cody.
Both were really good mark Henry’s was legendary but aj styles I was like no way they were really gonna do this and it happened right in front of my eyes and Corey graves was amazing pulling out his inner Jim Ross. 10/10

You need an animal to fight an animal. Heyman will organsie Bron Breaker to move back to Smackdown to be his body guard from Solo's Bloodline.
Gunther should absolutely challenge Cody at SummerSlam and, he should win.
Cody should take on solo / jacob fatu and beat them at mitb so the bloodline are forced to turn to Gunther to take Cody down on 'his' (the rock's) orders. Gunther gets a call from someone (the rock) to tell him to challenge Cody at SummerSlam and they arrange a deal for him to move to SmackDown. Cody has been able to take on the bloodline this far with help from Randy, owens etc. But new bloodline and imperium together are too much for him so he loses with Gunther getting help from outside. Not only that, the new evil super alliance decimate and take out all the babyfaces on sd afterwards for a lengthy period so it seems like there's no one left for Gunther to challenge at.bash in berlin. Then the raw and sd GM's get together to tackle this issue and announce that that they have arranged for a move to SmackDown for someone who can take on this superteam himself. Ilja dragunovs music hits and he faces Gunther in berlin after an impressive run on raw beating Braun breaker and others. Gunther retains with help again and eventually loses the belt to Cody at either royal rumble or chamber which sets up Cody vs rock and Gunther vs ilja at wm 41

As a true wresting fan i know that the World Heavyweight championship is the true top title because of what it represents; that being the legacy of wrestling itself. While the universal title is just a fancy version of the WWE championship
The WHC is NOT connected to the history of the big gold belt that was used during the early 2000's. They just share the same name. Even by itself, the Universal Championship has more history than the current WHC. The current WHC's history started with Seth Rollins.

Last night was great. I know so many people are angry that AJ Styles pulled a Mark Henry but it was so well done. Plus WWE would be insane to not run the match back. I'm still curious if AJ could also be involved in this WWE/TNA Crossover. Maybe he turns his back on WWE and joins TNA, and at Survivor Series we get Team TNA vs Team WWE led by AJ and Cody. Bayley as a babyface champion hasn't been as good as her babyface run to become champion. I hope it does improve. We need more Tiffy Time, she shouldn't be doing Dark Matches. Finally, LA Knight is building toward Logan Paul, which needs to happen at Summer Slam if not sooner. Paul Heyman had another fantastic promo, proving why he is one of the best but man KO and the Street Profits feel out of place as a team.
Forgot Cody. His run sucks. Bring back the Tribal Chief and The Final Boss
The reason why Simon is that you invite comparison by doing something almost exactly the same as the previous attempt.
If your favourite movie was announced to get a full remake, with a new cast, director, writers, etc telling the exact same story again, you are of course going to compare it to the original, because they're doing the same thing.
This was a good segment, but it simply just did the exact same bit, beat for beat, instead of trying to alter it and do something new; differentiate itself from the original.
Even something as simple as doing the turn on the ramp instead of the ring would've helped. We can't just regurgitate the same stuff over and over, wrestling needs to have adaptation.
AJ should win and let Cody win it back. These long reigns 👎🏽 had like 4 real champs since the two new belts (14 months old now ..)

Roman Reigns or Solo Sikoa. You're thinking of SummerSlam but there's Money in the Bank before that and I see Solo as a possible winner. If Roman comes back in time for a match at SummerSlam, then he will face Cody. It makes sense if he comes back, maybe Solo turns on him and we have good Bloodline vs bad bloodline, although I wouldn't be surprised if that happened next year instead of this one, so the story can be extended.
That's what we are waiting on solo vs roman that's first order of business
