I’ve been using the Pelagius/Joan combo for a few months and it is really amazing how much damage they take. While others fall by the wayside, these two are out there smashing it up. Glad to see the love for them here. Amazing guide Chisgule. I’ll definitely be using these in the coming days.
Alot of things play a factor here even a low t5 player like me gets melted by other t5 players. Vip also plays a big role here if they got a bettet vip lvl you will get melted i mostly use epics and a few legendary commanders if they got better commanders then you then they will also win. Legendary commanders are stronger
True i agree but change it to eulji primary and scipio secondary with full infantry + martial mastery in his talent... That combo is even more deadly and tanky compare to eulji and sun
I avoid naked rage for the same reason you said but it actually isn't bad with Hermann because you are nuking them more than they are nuking you (due to 1st skill) so while you'll take more damage, you can take it more than they can. Plus that combo is decently fast so you can avoid getting hit by stronger armies in the first place (unless it is cavalry but hopefully your archers will live up to their bonus)

Joan of Ark secondary with a Integration hero is the Best Choice! If you bring every troop, except siege, your Joan of Ark will buff ALL of your troops, and if you're swarming with your alliance, Joan of ark can heal. This is better than all cavalry because all cavalry has little defense, hence you won't be able to Buff your allies for long. Boudica Primary and Joan of Ark secondary is a good combo :)

Outstanding guide my friend! Ive been using Belisarius+Baibars during AOO, bringing mayhem on enemy farmers, its definitely a great combo. Aethelfled is such an interesting commander, i have her in mind since she became a thing. Didnt think about her paired with Joan, but now that you mention it, it sounds really good ... Thank you very much for such a good aproach on combos!
I like the idea of Aethelfled paired with a nuker, like Osman or Sun Tzu, because that -30% defense and -30% health goes hand in hand with some huge damage on the next turn by a nuker.
aethal is great i use her with richard to debuff rallies that reduction to counter damage really helps you sustian and the double debuff helps rip rallies apart. very very good. i adore her shes amazing
Some epic combos ive been testing out with great results: Beli and joan (tanky support) Hermann and boudica (silence and rage reduction) Sun tzu and osman (NUKE) Will definitely try out Aethelfled.

I would not do scipio osman. Osman is all about back-breaking rage generation with the ultimate pairing being Kahn primary. The F2P version is a Joan, Herman, aethel, boudica, Pelagius, or Tzu as a partner to osman.
You can also get joan of ark with aether (legendary expedition commander) expertised because she get a damage boost on slowed enemy So you can also get baybars - Aether

You can also pair Belisarius with Pelagius ( Pelagius as primary ), in my opinion its the best F2P option for cavalry. Best inf set up will be a 5,5,1,1 martel with a eulji. Ive been using these combinations for a long time and i think they are the best available for f2p
Currently using Baibars primary with Athelflaed as second. Baibars is at full skill tree with some cav. The slowing effect baibars do give a good boost to aethelfled increased dmg to slowed enemies.

Yo, Ethelflaed with tomoe gozen is too OP! I have maxed out blood Sakura, getting 30% more damage to armies. If you pair this with ethelflaed, you can use her ability to reduce the Defence of enemies. If you max out this ability, you can hit enemies with 60% MORE DAMAGE
Hi so been watching videos lately... So even before seeing this I'm like a big fan of herman becoz of his rage and silence + a 10% attack boost for all troops that people ignore... And i paired him with el cid too. One more addition if you could try out a 5/5/1/1 aethelfeld along with Richard 5/1/1/1 or Martel 5/1/1/1 as primary... Giving heal/shield and then giving debuffs. I find that as a tanky combo that can debuff for strong ones to hit. Hope u reply to this suggestion ♥️

yes I spent on Richard because he is awesome,and his sculptures only available on wheel that I can't always spin as f2p and his not on wheel event anymore so I decide to spent legendary sculptures I can get on Richard. Charles can wait,he is available on golden chest anyway,so..Richard it is😁

For the secondary commander, does the experience level matter at all? It looks like it contributes to the total power... But obviously the talents don't take effect. So does it matter if your secondary is level 30 as long as their skills are maxed??

for the number one pick, I would suggest using joan as primary since she is the only one that have the two talent skill to increase seige unit defense. And usually, you would not use those 3 main types of unit as support.

Sai Som If you cant have eulji then go for sun tzu but I really suggest eulji. Sun tzu is an infantry commander but is mainly used for garrison defense
i dont use hasty departure alot but i think that there is a bug where you can just click on the player and get movespeed bonus and remove the delay when you change target. idk can you confirm this my low health minamoto actually got rekt by a baibars using that

Depending on the skill, they can stack. Things like stat boosts will stack. Shields (eg Charles Martel and Alexander the great’s shields) do not. Talents of secondary commanders do not apply.
See I’ve always asked if the March speed from Baibars and Beli stack and everyone said they don’t. But either or . 50% March speed is insane for a epic lol I believe . Especially when Beli has mobility tree and you could possible build him to be one of the fastest in the game . But I still stick with me Baibars as primary for that 20% Cav attack bonus lol.
I am a low player yet (less than 10m and only c22) however i am using a lvl 50 maxed-skill Eulji Mundeok as a primary and a lvl 20 minamoto (5-1-0-0) as my secondary becuase his skill deals great damage.
Lefteris Power eulji is a great infantry commander. Minamoto is generally used for full cav army’s so I suggest you put sun tzu, Richard, or charles Martel if you have them.
wouldnt el cid be better as primary? because secondary commanders use skill the turn after primary making it so that theres 1 second that is wasted from hermanns first skill, therefore the enemy is silenced for 2 seconds instead of 3, i know you talked about it a bit in the video but im actually curious how it works now
No, Open field is good at battle outside the base but not many buff for attacking buildings. If you are looking for attacking Buildings you should go to conqueror talent tree.
It's ok. I've got maxed Eulji and pretty high Fred. In my experience Sun Tzu has been better for open field attacks as there's usually more armies to hit. But 1v1 if all the chances hit and you maxed out Fred's 1st skill it is really solid.
CTFU YET everything that's being showed that can be bought has been. That being said Chisgule doesn't sugarcoat for ROK sponsoring and he's truly honest still they know seeing these stats makes me atleast wanna start a spending frenzy

I use tomoe gozen is to run fast farmer killing or rally
Its reasonable using tomoe on early kingdoms but when you reach 150+ days , don't use blue or green for fighting anymore
I'm in LK and i have tomoe + aether. And yes, insanely good. I even use them in ark. Full archer.

Yes, it doesn't matter with experience level
Aethelflaed deals damage in a semi-circular area rather than fan shaped as the first skill says.

It's ok. I've got maxed Eulji and pretty high Fred. In my experience Sun Tzu has been better for open field attacks as there's usually more armies to hit. But 1v1 if all the chances hit and you maxed out Fred's 1st skill it is really solid.
