My two favorite herbalists! I have poke growing wild in my back yard, but have always been scared of it because you have to cook it twice I think or it can poison you. ( what I’ve always been told), so I’ve never researched it’s medicinal qualities but now I’m going to.

Same here. When I was a kid, we would go pick poke salad, and mom would cook it. It was a favorite of my dad. I never learned how to cook it. It grows in my yard near the house.

Great video. I love watching Kaylee and have learned so much from her. It is amazing how many plants I have growing right in my yard that have benefits. I have been collecting and drying. I made my first salves. I need to work on tentures.

I use strictly medicinal herbs to grow a few plants to use for identifying my local plants to make sure I am safe.
Also, you didn;t mention wild lettuce for pain relief (Many get pain during seasonal weather changes).
