This guitar has incredible clarity. Beautiful tone and you hear every note in the complex chords Jarvis plays all over the neck. And Jarvis’ fingerstyle passages - very delicate and pretty. I’m impressed.

We can all take a page out of your book, Jarvis. You always have such a positive outlook, counting your bessings, sharing your advice on being happy, smiling and other things (i.e. Knocking on Heaven's Door example). I think I prefer the sound of the ls16, but it sounds like this beast has a nicer neck for playability.
Hi Jarvis! I have this same model! Really awesome guitar. Had it for awhile already and it opened up really nice! Recently i noticed that intonation up the neck is sharper, (eg the 12th fret). Is this a common issue for all guitars? Cos my other guitars have the same problem too. I capo often and the sharpness (especially the bass strings) gets to me sometimes. Thanks so much for your videos btw! My go to when comparing guitars! haha
If it’s sharper it’s either the saddle crown needs to be tweak or the neck needs to be adjusted
@@TheGuitarSpaSingapore thanks so much! you're right! tightened the truss rod a little and the intonation improved! though not perfect, probably gotta get someone to work on the saddle next time.. But this fix should suffice for now! thank you so much and rock on:)

They nice playing. You explanation about the plastic pins and saddle might be the reason why not of the Martin 00-18 guitars that I have tried sounded as nice. Maybe if brought one and made the changes you suggest it might turn out as nice sounding. Thanks!
Have you ever compared the 00-18 and the 000-18? Which would you get between the two if you can get only one of the two? Is the 00 size more comfortable for you than the 000? Thank you. By the way, your videos are always awesome!
Love the 00-18 . Hope you get hold of the Martin 00-17 Whiskey Sunset. Would love to hear you play it & a review. Honestly.... I think all guitars sound great when you play them. :-) Thanks for the time & work you put into your videos Jarvis !

Thanks for the review man! Big fan of your channel! Just wondering if there is a chance to do a review of the Martin new standard series - GPC/OMC/DC, especially the GPC 28? It's the first time that Martin puts GPC body shape into their standard lineup but unfortunately, there is not a lot of reviews of it.
