Video will be coming soon on showing what your money gets you when brining in your bikes for tune ups at shops!!
for god's sake sell this customer an out front mount.
looking forward to it!
Hey gc do you recommend those turbo cotton for an average of 80miles a week on decent roads? How good is the puncture Resistance in your experience with customers? Currently have gp5000 and 0 punctures in 2 years of riding but I wanna switch to tan wall tires. Thank you in advance man . Good videos !
I read “brining” and pictured somebody soaking their bike in saltwater and rusting it up.
SHHHII ssshhhi THAT BOY DIRTY ! ashy knuckles and all! Ya customer savageonthebeat! Daaaaaam, He don’t play no games. he ain’t cleaning nuthin!
All fun over here though. Anyway keep doing what your doing!
This is criminal neglect. This bike should be repossessed and given to a loving home.
Lol
shiitttt he would jsut buy a new one and there would be no stop to this madness lol
@@GCPerformance18 what you talking bout Willis? There are no new bikes to purchase
Lmao
@@Bu-22 I actually like the fact that it looks used and abused. They look like battle scars, and all the abuse is repairable/replacable anyways.
that’s how you tell people you’re rich without telling you’re rich
for real doe, thisman kind of has f u money lol
Can't believe that the noise doesn't drive him mad I clean my bike on a weekly basis I ride 6 days a week in all seasons here in the UK apart from snow 😳
hahahah I know I could hear it fomr a mile away he has headphone sin the whole time
Cleaning your bike every single week, at some point that’s just not good for it, especially the chain.
@@thegrowl2210 it's not done my bikes any harm they still look like new after thousands of miles per year
ride my SL7 at least 5 times a week she also gets looked after quick clean after each ride and once a month deep clean can't understand people that neglect or just don't give a *** loads of people would love and pamper a bike like this if they had one...
yea I mean peiople for sure have different values for cleaning there bikes
@@GCPerformance18 I ride a bike that costs a quarter of the one you posted and take better care of her. Pains me to hear she sees the road 5-6 days a week a never seems a cleaning/lube. 😢
I always dry my chain with an air compressor after I clean it before lubing. I also use the compressor to blow water out of the depressions in all of the screws and other connectors that trap water and potentially rust.
im not a fan of the compressor if I have time I would take the chain off and lay it outside in the sun, the compressor can sometimes lodge grit and grease in wrong palces
I use wax on my frame, I also re-torque fittings, chain cleaner, dry lube once a month. I dont ride in the rain so my bike stay relatively clean. How often do you check your tire pressures?
I love how when he showed us the pressure washers he just gave each one a little kick 😂
hahahhaha
I found that funny too, that's the kinda shit I would do.
Would you make a video going over what is some basic maintanence that could be done at home? For instance lubing...
I would love to video coming soon
I only have a £2000 bike and hate taking it out if the road is damp, lol which is like 90 % of the time in the uk. Haha…. If it gets wet I have to clean it. Shocking they have a 10k plus bike and let it get in that state
I use to live in Miami and I can tell you, serious money by many folks down there. So many very wealthy folks from central and South American have homes in South Florida and of course the locals. I also can tell you From experience that a disproportionate amount of people would rather have a negative bank balance that skimp on looking good or style. Pretty superficial folks. Not trying to generalize everyone because that’d be inaccurate but many are just flat out fake.
yea this shit happens all the time
Yes bike lovers will cringe, however I’m glad that the bike gets USED! At least the bike has finally been brought in for service!
Great video😊 if i take off the sram crankarm and re-lube it can i just put it back without rejust the preload adjuster ring? Best Reards Chris
if its from the same bike then yes you od not need to do anything because it is fitted to your bike
The muc off guys had a tent at unbound this year to clean bikes post/preride. It was awesome to see these guys churning out hundreds of bikes in no time
That is so sick!!!! I would
Love to see that
When you degrease and clean the drive train, should the chain and cogs be cleaned such that if you touch the chain you get no black gunk on your hand/cloth? I can’t get it that cleaned bud visually it looks spotless
itsd very hard to degrease a chain and remove all grease with just a rag, you need to puit it into a dunk tank to remove everything and get in between everything
@@GCPerformance18 so my process is , using parktools chain clean device : solvent>soapy water> let chain dry , then lube , but once chain dry , there is still some residual (but visually very clean)as I explained , it’s still ok to lube at that point?
Is it cool to leave the black Roval tire labels on or should they be removed? What do you think?
remove them but I men it is the consumer bike and I leave it up to them to remove them so if I see them oin there then I do not touch
@@GCPerformance18 Thanks for your answer. I recently bought them and didn't know whether to leave them on or not. Thank you very much for all your videos and for sharing.
Is that bike protect spray greasy like armor all?
kind of but for bikes specifically do not spray armoroall on the carbon please
@@GCPerformance18 naw just on the tires bro lol
SRAM recommends to remove the battery all the time, when you spray with chemicals. The tab will become brittle and actually break. If you own a bike shop, I guess you can get away with this. SRAM will warranty those batteries for shop owners.
yea sram recomeneds alot of stuff to do too with charing batteries and replacing chains on time and bottom brakcets after nrmal use but no ever does, they always run it till it breaks, those tabs dont break unless the consumer rips it off which I have seen in the past lol
Also for SRAMs sake, just don’t know exactly what cleaning products people might have “on hand” at home. There’s an awful lot of vehicle degreasers and cleaners that’ll perish bike components. Just seen what’s come back to the workshops haha
@@GCPerformance18 My battery's tabs broke after 2 years of cleaning that way. I called them asking if they redesigned the AXS batteries, they said yes. But they want you to remove them when spraying harsh chem. I do it now, just cause I don't own a bike shop that can just lie to them.
@@GCPerformance18 and I didn't rip it off, I was riding and thought I ran out of charge, it was wobbling loose with the locking clip holding it.
Is there anything else I can use on the derailleurs similar to MO-94? Can't find it locally. TY!
Gt85 but I would really look for mo94 try Amazon
Not ripping the roval tag off on the spoke?
lmao its like leaving the sticker on a hat hahaha
What do we do about the water that makes it into the frame?
it will evaporate, no worries there, and jsut be mindful when ur spraying the frame of entry poitns and try to avoid spraying there for long periods of time
Can you use the Muckoff Bike Protect on rim brake wheels?
yes u can I would jsut recomend after using it, take a rag with alcholo and go over the brake surface to remove it, that way it looks clean
How long would you say that bike finish lasts?
Like a day or so and then it kind of mattes out
What range cassette he's got on there
hes got a 10-33
@@GCPerformance18 I'm looking for a wide range cassette as I'm a 200-210 guy. Do you have any recommendations for custom cassettes. I only been riding for a year but my frame is big so I won't be losing much more than 200 haha. But man I'm addicted. I really enjoy your videos too man. The rim depth video really explained a lot dude.
What muc off product were you using on the derailleurs?
mo94 spray it works great for everything, im telling you it will make the whole bike last longer if you spray it on everything that moves
Hi - what is the hex key mm size for sl7 thru axles?
6 mm
6mm
Nice video. What are your thoughts on using a little alcohol on a rag to wipe the excess oil film off the outside of the chain after lubricating?
you could do it but I feel like it is counter productive ebcause you might remove more then what you intent to, were as you can just take a dry rag and run it on there to rmeove the excess
Is MO-94 an all purpose degreaser and lube? I use a degreaser and then muc-off dry lube to finish. Wonder if I need to add this MO-94 in between the degreasing and the lubing?
I use it for everything, I would spray it on a rag and use it to remove excess dirt and grease from derailers and chains, that way it removes the surface grime but you odnt have to worry about degreaser getting in spots and not hitting it with lube after a while
We all learned valuable lessons today and Great video by the way. Anyways at least the customer took the initiative to get it serviced and he’s riding it. Gotta respect that!
Absolutely!
Hey GC you getting any roval rapide handlebars?
we are suppose too, like at least 25 of them but still no ship out yet
How long will the shine effect last when using the Muc Off bike protect? I kinda want my matte bike to look glossy 😬😬
Like a day. It comes off it want it too with a cleaner product
@@GCPerformance18 Alright! Thanks for replying. Love your content, keep up the good work!!
3:40 i can 1000% guarantee you even spraying it there got some of it onto the rotors
I am sure, but then you clean after done and they never make noise, dont squeeze right away....
@@GCPerformance18 what do you use to clean it
@@GCPerformance18 more concerned about the braking power rather than the noise
Alcohol and make sure you don’t squeeze the brakes. Let it dry
Hello Gc Performance; do you have a tips for clean the Gum tires sidewall? 😅
Thanks😃
I would say like the mo94 stuff and a rag works really well
@@GCPerformance18 thanks 😃
The washer from muc off is an off the shelf one. I have the exact same but from a yellow brand
ahhhh very nice
How did you clean the hubs, do you use a brush? Nice job cleaning that bike up 👍🏾
I just take a rag and get in between the spoke and kind of give it the old rub down lol
I panicked when you put the washer on the bottom bracket. Funny stuff. Awesome video! Glad to see you're progressing nicely - sorry I haven't had much time to stay super active on your channel. Keep it going!
lmfaooo thanks man and i hoipe u been enjoying ur tarmac pro
Could you do a video of how to pack a 2019 venge in a travel hard case for air travel. Mainly around the integrated handlebar etc
........ super tough, no lie you need to just remove the bars and remove the bolt under the stem to give slack to the cables and then pull the bars off and let them hang and thats it
@@GCPerformance18 had the same experience flying my tarmac SL7 last week -- no way to keep the fork straight even with that bolt under the stem taken off b/c of the cable routing being so close... fortunately the airlines didnt turn the bike into carbon dust but I was worried the whole damn way
Ok..now I feel more confident..I clean my bikes in a similar fashion with the same Muc off and low psi power washer..after everything I use tri-flow lube on derailleur pivet points and chain..i usually wash my wheels with dawn liquid dish detergent and alcohol for rotors..good video
very nice!!! as lonog as we are thinking what we are doing and smart with lube placement we are good to go
maybe a tight labor market in Florida. my LBS for a 60 dollar cleaning they remove the cassette/chain/cranks do a thorough cleaning. muc off pink is a mainstay along with the matt polish. they never use jet spray on a 10k + bike. last step is to check the tire pressure LOL
it depends on where u are located we are the cheapest around here, that is considered a major tune up and it is 130 but other stores are charging 90 dollars for the basic and not removing anythign
Even if i had 3 billion in my bank account i wouldn't be so lazy and clueless to ride 6 months without even being able to clean and lube a chain and rinse off dirt white a hose. You really need to be an absolute dork to live this way. I can only imagine what the inside of his car and house look like. Hope he has good servants at home to baby sit him.
godam, you went off lol he was just un educated about it, after he brougth it to me I showed him what he had to do to maintain it
He does not deserve this bike. I will happily take it and treat it the way it deserves to be treated.
hahahah this man is riding every day and gettitng miles in
I need to get Bike Protect. Thanks! these videos really are useful.
The bike protect product is amazing I use it as a finish for a lot of the bikes
Thanks for the vid ! I ride my bike nearly everyday and therefor need a deep clean at least once a month, i wax my chain afterwards but normaly i never lube the pivot points, is that necesary?
Absolutely. I had a work mate bring his bike to me because the chain was drooping so bad and he couldn't figure out why. Turns out the rear derailleur internal spring cage pivot point was so gunk'd up it seized in a position such that there was no tension on the chain. You need to clean the derailleurs and lube pivot points as was shown in this video and lube internally your levers maybe once a year. I even pull my fork every couple of months to clean and lube the headset because you would be amazed at what sweat will do in no time at all. Keeping your bike clean helps to keep you safe.
@@wasupwitdat1mofiki94 Thanks! Will get something to lube all the pivot points now!
yes it is a big thing people forget to do and can make it so you do not have to replace equipment so often, it helps the derailers keep doing its job well
wouldn't a wet lube have been better, if it's got to last 6 months, including riding in the rain?
i just use dry for it, its my preference you could do a wet lube too but I have him coming in now every 4 weeks now
@@GCPerformance18 very good that he is coming each month now to save all the watts :)!
My man took that bike from matte black to gloss green. 😂
lmfaooooo making magic happen
I got that same frame and I literally baby my bike. It's spotless every single ride. That's a disgrace of an owner lol!

It will probably be on ebay marked as barely used soon! :)
Ok this type of content is cool to see too

I am happy you enjoyed it!!!
I bought MO94 and Bike Protect after watched your video. It does the job well. Big thumbs up to you.
I am so glad I could help you out and thanks so mcuh for watching and enjoying :)
Surprised you don't use an air compressor after the pressure washer. It's much faster to dry things off and you obv don't shoot the air in the bearings like the pressure washer and you'll be just fine.
$13,000 bike but can’t take 5 minutes to make a appointment for a bike tune up…
Any kind of customer exists. The clueless, the ignorant, you name it.
makes my skin crawl he's ruining that $820 one-piece PM/Chainring.
yea I know but he is working to get better it is his first bike and dint know better and we working on a plan
Won’t be buying any Tarmac SL7 SWorks bikes that color out of South Florida on eBay. BTW, I already have this bike and I clean that MOfO after every ride. I use a orange citrus biodegradable degreaser from home depot. I HIGHLY recommend it and you can find it in the area of Home Depot or Lowe’s that has cleaning supplies. Spray it on just like you and let it sit for several minutes to let it do it’s job. Afterwords I rinse the bike and wash using any car wash soap. I also use the hose from the house which where I live has plenty of power. I also highly recommend using the park tool chain cleaner. Works awesome. Last, I use Rock n Roll dry lube. Let it soak in and wipe it off with a cotton rag
hahhah at least I could give u some insight lol
That bike protect looks pretty sweet!
yea I love it

I love when people ride the sh&* out of their expensive S-works bike, that's what they are for! But I guess this customer can afford a clean-up every month or so, he should not wait 6 months before getting it cleaned.
Yea he’s more on point with it now after I talked to him later.
Nothing does my head in more than when people don't look after their bikes. We spend obscene amounts and to leave it dirty or unmaintained for weeks on end is stupid

whatever works for you
Not sure why everyone is hatin on this dude. This dude actually ride his $14,000 bike!
yea whats what I always said, the man is liuterally using his bike for what it is meant for
@@GCPerformance18 exactly! I was actually impressed that his bike became in that state in such a short time. It means he is using the bike to the fullest, that he actually needs to do a maintenance every month! Usually ppl who buys this bike has them more of an art piece than actually riding it 😂.
the "owner" is an effin n00b, but its money for GC performance, so, cool

Excellent video
thanks so mcuh!!!
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Each time i ride..no matter how... i clean! Thats SL7 needs TLC big time.. 👊
lmao next time I am going to remove everything
