Sir, greetings from Pakistan. This is the Coke studio's version of the classic qawwali "Mera piya ghar aaya". Qawwali is a type of Sufi music, which focuses on God the Almighty, His prophets and their companions. Therefore, there is no doubt about the direction and meaning of this type of music and that is spiritual. By brothers it means all members of this group of Qawwals. In the old days, qawwali used to run in the family and all male members of the family took active part in this activity. So, the name brothers came in and stayed but these days its more of the compsnions of the group. Nafal is a small prayer, which is offered in addition to the mandatory / obligatory prayers. The singer is talking about offering nafal to appease the God the Almighty, which normally takes about three minutes and is prayed with that particular intention. During this qawwali, the singer also talked about Majnoon and Laila, which is a folktale just like Romeo and Juliet. The singer also sang about Bulleh Shah, who was a great sufi poet of this region a few centuries ago. This is fabulous stuff snd most interesting part is that yourself got immersed into it and got majority of the understading as well, which is highly appreciable. I just loved watching the qawwali on this channel. It was amazing. It is always a great pleasure to be on this channel. I wait for early Sunday morning every week just to watch this great channel reacting to Coke studio songs. I feel elated and indebted at the same time. Wishing the very best for this channel at all times. With warm regards

This is simply amazing. With 80 Coke studio songs in the playlist, it's so easy to search it and watch our favourites. I was closely looking at the playlist and observed that two songs are missing. One is "Rangrez" by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from Coke studio season 10 and second one is "Aaja Mahi" by Asim Azhar and Momina Mustehsan from Coke studio season 11. I regularly visit the playlist and watch it. Thank you and my best wishes and prayers for the continuous strength of this great channel. With warm regards

In Islam, a nafl prayer, (pl. Nawafil) (Arabic: صلاة النفل, ṣalāt al-nafl) or supererogatory prayer, is a type of optional Muslim salah (formal worship). As with sunnah prayer, they are not considered obligatory but are thought to confer extra benefit on the person performing them.
