Well, I'm gonna love this story anyway since I know it as part of Chris Claremont's run. And that run's diversity and unpredictability of storylines following other storylines. Plus, hey, this is 'original' enough for me, and by this point in time, and in this nightmare century. The only worthy and official variant covers I'd consider, would be those in this "Classic" series and with such differing and disparate cover artists as for this, completely fitting Mike Mignola's work for a Dracula tale.
Kitty Pryde was at her youngest and most innocent at this stage as a member of the X-Mansion's denizens, whether New Mutant or X-Man. Same, obviously, for Ororo and this story's events present strong circumstances for the solidifying of Ororo and Kitty's close, familial bond.
The page depicting Ororo being comepelled out of bed to opening the bedroom window by Dracula's influential power is very well done. Any fighting fits with combining the IP with the mythos. It's all very American Gothic eerie, capably blending this version of Vlad Drakul into his Uncanny X-Men by Claremont. Kitty confronts the count-king dressed as Indiana Jones' neice, though, heh.
Fantastic story; of course, find that Annual issue and review its follow-up. By the way, what did you think of Englishman Alan Cumming as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler in the X-Men 2 film? (Still an x-cellent movie, I think; gotta re-watch it however, it's over 20 years old now). Movin' along, always things to do these days, thanks a lot for this enjoyable 'flashback' that I knew you'd pick out from among the other issues, first. Have a great run into the weekend, my friend!

You probably already have read it right? Exactly!! Same here. Dracula and X-men? Sign me up!!.
His designs are prefect for this (would've loved me a Gene Colan cover, but he).
I beleive she was yeah. She was completely innocent and goofy. Not whatever they turned her into now. That shot was really nice to see. You can clearly feel the emotions trough the pages.
It reminds me me of the Hammer Horror movies. Where is Peter Cushing when we need him lol. .the beld of horror and superhero is very well done.. Indeed. She forgot her whip
      😅.
He acted well, but iwas clearly he didn't wanted to be there because of all the makeup thing he had to go through and maybe other stuff too.
20 year already? Damn!! You know my taste hahahah. I'm looking for the annual, Mike. Coming up when i find. Till then..ONWARDS!!
