I have a thai and i honestly have no idea how it's so healthy and lush hahaha! It's literally well away from the humidifier, close ish to the fire place and only gets a little bit of morning sun
I guess the temperature really matters.
Mine has adapted to phoenix's dry conditions with 0% humidity
How I live in phx and my monstera is turning yellow :(
@@MariaRodriguez-lp9lg leaves turn yellow and fall off from over watering. Edges get crispy from underwatering. Try to water only when your soil is actually dry. I know we're overcompensating, but trust me they can grow here!
@@MariaRodriguez-lp9lghumidity doesn’t cause yellow leaves, I would check for things like under/over watering, too much light (7+ hours of direct sun, pests, or a root bound pot.
I took live in PHX. What do you do about leaves slightly curling?
@@michellecastro2475 probably needs water
Also if your monstera drops all of its leaves for an unknown reason to you but the vine is still strong and healthy, you can hard reset them by cutting off 90% of the vine back to stumps then place a cup or something to trap humidity, but always check their roots first before doing this and try to down size the pot to help encourage new growth while looking out for pest or fungus that might be causing the issue in the being with. (This had happened to me while checking on it daily and treating the fungus and pest issues and now my monstera 'swiss cheese' is extremely happy and fuller, just keep in mind this took almost a month and plants are resilient and stronger then you'll think)
My monstera is currently sitting outside. It is a VERY windy, cool, dry day. She also gets direct sun for 6-7 hours rn. She is THRIVING.
If it conditions up to sunlight, the leaves will become sun leaves and will be HUGE and beautiful. You are lucky to have that! I have mines with only 4 hours of direct sunlight, but the sun here in Florida burns so I don’t know if mines will scorch up or become a sun plant.
I'm with you I pack the sun in, at least 6 direct. Lol I rock mine 30 percent max humidity usually like 15 with amazing growth. Love how everyone thinks it's about humidity.
I live in tropical country, my monstera still thriving in 33-35°C and outdoor, under the full sun
I just replant mine montera, she is being with me for 8 year now. When I check the root she barely has…. I hope with the new soil and care she get better and beautiful.
This plant is in my list 😊❤ it's so beautiful!
I have an area beside my house, west side, that doesn’t get direct sun. I live in the tropics so heat and humidity aren’t an issue 🤣. Would planting one outside there be ok?
sounds like it would be a good environment for them.
Yes. I live in the tropics as well. I've planted one outside where it doesn't get much direct sunlight. The size of those leaves, you could wrap Peter Dinklage in it.
Sure, it will grow up the tree trunks of nearby trees and take over. 😅
Great Tips!
Thank you.
Quick tip: every day, spray your minsters with water via a spray bottle. It doesn’t help, just the plant loves it
Thank u!! Appreciate u sharing this information
I have a monstera with wilted leaves
I have tired everything to vitamins c water egg shells
Why are they wilted
They were very healthy when I got them
I do not overwater them
Monsteras do fine with temperature fluctuations. I keep mine outside in the spring-fall where the temperature drops 15-20 degrees every night and it thrives…..
Are you afraid of getting bugs, when you bring it back into the home?
You spray it down before bringing in 😊
I have 3🪴
Omg. Is that what thats causes by! Thank you, looking online i thought it was adding too much fertilizer but i wasnt misting as often as i had before. Just misted her!
My big baby survived in my little cabin with a woodstove that sometimes drops to 45° but it's rough and cold drafts literally melt the leaves!
Mine lives outside and survived a very cold winter 😂
Mine is a little sunburned. I left it outside during the afternoon. The arizona sun is unforgiving. It's doing great besides that. It's giving me a new leaf and I just got a new one last week.
Mine too I think they just get use to it
I love mine but it’s definitely not thriving like it should I need to move it somewhere else!!!
What are those temperatures in Celsius?
Bro just use your phone 💀
this information is untrue. I leave my monstera out during the early spring / summer when temps can get as low as 50 at night and high 80s during the day. Continues to grow with absolutely no problems. Also in the winter my home humidity is in the 20s and no problem either. Stop misinforming people, plant care is not that difficult.
They do love higher humidity and thrive in those conditions. MANY other plant influencers have said that and found that in my research.
I live in town that is dry we literally have zero fleas. Mine gets big time crispy but I do not use any humidifier.
@@jenniferperkins2391 i’m sorry to tell you this but maybe you just suck at plant care. I’ve found with most of my tropical plants they don’t really care about humidity. The only time it really matters is when some of my philodendrons are trying to push out a new leaf and they get stuck in the cataphyll. When this happens i just spray with water every now and then until the leaf is out. After that my humidity is usually around 35 percent and they don’t mind at all.
Haha i have my adansonii at our porch with direct light for a few hours in the morning. So far still alive, been 2 months since I bought it online.
Is it gonna live ? Indoors isn't possible because our windows have curtains and it's dark majority of the day. My mom's philodendrons are outside as well with direct sunlight from morning to afternoon. It is THRIVING even tho the soil is just loam with little to know aeration nor fertilizer, but for some reason it survives even during rainy season. Weird.
I love I’m on stars they’re small and perfect for my house. I like filling them in on the bottom, letting the bottom grow in and turning them towards the light every so often.
Hello, I would like to know if one of your plants the leaves starts to tear in the middle. Do you just cut that off?
They love to be placed at ground level.
Really doubt there's a difference, the plant surely can't tell if it's at ground level or a feet or two above.
Oof, my humidity is constantly around 40. Does it help to Mist the monsters regularly or do I need to take measures to make the humidity higher permanently?
40% is fine for a monstera, they get used to it. Misting doesn't do anything.. the mist itself lasts for a few seconds then it's back to 40%. Invest in a humidifier if you're interested in raising the humidity.
@@tapp3r109Terrible info a humidifier is the worst idea. 15 percent is fine if you know what you're doing. All rainforest does is mist don't use **** water. Ps I don't mist for humidity.

One of my favorite plants!
We have a monstera delicioso thats been sitting by the window with little to no care, most of the leaves have gone crispy on the edges if you can even call it edges anymore, anything i can do to save it?
I would start by checking the roots and the soil. Let me know.
Uuuugh time to spend more money on plants cause mine won’t stop being crispy 🤦♀️
몬스테라 잎들이 골고루 풍성하게 잘 자랐군요. 전 이상태에서 공중뿌리를 잘라 번식을 시켰는데 모주가 잎이 지나치게 크게 자라고 있어요 😍😅
If you can’t get monstera to grow then house plants just aren’t you lol
Thank you, is four metres back from a exterior ranch sliding door ok. The door opens to a sheltered courtyard.
They can thrive in less humidity and temperatures these are hardy af 😂
What can I do about the leaves curling slightly??
Could be a deficiency or did you let them dry out more than you should?
Sooooo beautiful plant ❤❤
