Coffin makers in Ghana do the same thing. They make coffins of custom shapes like animals and cars to represent and celebrate the departed’s life.

I may be confused about the whereabouts but somewhere else in Africa they also have these elaborate processions where the pallbearers dance and kind of make a party out of the procession with the casket as they carry it
There's a different trend where the deceased are posed next to their casket as if alive. It's on YT somewhere.

@@Tis_I_SirJames no I had no idea about Luke Perry, but I love that. I'm Canadian and on the west coast somewhere I remember hearing that the first ever dedicated eco-cemetery was opened not too long ago. Targeted to accomodate things like mushroom suits, people who wish (like you said) to essentially be dropped in a shallow grave and go back to the earth quickly etc.

He made & donated an absolutely beautiful coffin for Maleah Davis’ funeral. Her birth father was a family friend & it made such a hard service a little more bearable. I know her family will be forever grateful to them for this❤️

I learned about Trey Ganem just recently as he donated custom caskets for Uvalde mass shootings. He's not just talented but also very compassionate, empathetic, and generous person. May God bless him and his family.

Nah no thanks, I'd go with natural burial. Or sky burial but I think thats not possible where I live.
Yeah, sky burials are only available for the local population in Tibet. It's a practice that fascinates me too, especially with the religious beliefs behind it.
I'd hate to put that artwork in the dirt. This is really cool though and im sure it helps the families in feeling like they've honored their loved ones. Might need to save up and see if he can pimp out an urn.
I'd like to be buried in a cardboard box and have a tree planted on me. No embalming. As environmentally friendly as possible. Let the energy from my body feed another living thing.
That said, I really appreciate what this guy is doing. Funerals are for the living, not the deceased. So if this helps people cope with the passing of a loved one by making them feel like they're honoring their legacy, then it's great.

All american cars have their pieces made in others countries and then assembled in the US, which is a way to bend the law and keep the "made in USA". The ultimate waste of money. When I'm dead I would want the cheapest funeral. If my life insurance pays out a lot just order a bunch of food "for the funeral" and donate it to the poor.
