Love this! Great book too. Tigger has always been my favorite - love his confidence, cheerfulness, and love of fun - traits I wanted to have more of growing up.
Love love LOVE this!!! Pooh bear is one of my favorite comforts… I actually turn it on the tv when I get really anxious🥹 my hubby even does it for me sometimes. This made my heart so happy💕
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video - the beauty, value and wisdom of simplicity, naturalness and non-forcing are something I just can't get enough of 🙂. And your video talked about the subject in such a sweet and uplifting way. I was thinking about this subject today as I came across a saying attributed to Epicurus which has a very similar sentiment: "If you shape your life according to nature, you will never be poor; if you do so according to opinion you will never be rich, for nature's wants are small; the demands of opinion/convention are boundless".
Pooh is my favorite character, and I think it's because my natural way of moving through life is an intuitive one, but somewhere early on I learned that I had to try to do everything perfectly. So Pooh gives me permission to be myself. Thanks SO much for bringing Pooh's wisdom, and yours, to me this day! I needed the reminder.
My favorite character is Eeyore. This is because, I, too am a depressive. Eeyore's friends don't tell him to cheer up, others have it worse than you. They accept him, and still invite him to do all the things, even if he might say, "No." That's love!
Thank you for reminding me of this beautiful little book! It was life changing for me when I read it as a young adult. I think I've succeeded in keeping the little joys and simplicity of life. Growing up, I think my favorite character was Eeyore. I'm empathetic, and my heart went out to him, and even when things looked bad, they would always turn out all right. True friendship can be found in the Pooh books!
I've always loved Winni Pooh since I was a child, and my favourite character is Piglet she/he (not sure about gender) is so sweet and anxious , really similar to me in many ways
He's very cute :) I think in the stories, Eeyore kind of represents depression in a way, but he's also very brave and strong because he keeps showing up and being there for his friends, which is hard to do if you're feeling gloomy, and he accepts them for who they are, even when they make mistakes. :)
I often share Winnie-the-Pooh quotes in my social media and have said more than once that they are the wisest. 🙂 I like Eeyore for his dry wit, and his presence is invaluable because it shows struggle, but also how we should surround those who find life especially challenging and be there for them like Pooh and Piglet were for Eeyore.
I so relate to the silly old bear! I’ve always been a very simple and intuitive person, who looks for the stairs instead of using my bare hands! If the stairs are there, why am I going to hurt my hands, just to supposedly prove to others that I can climb with my hands? This has always puzzled me, because it makes no sense to go through the most difficult and hurtful way when there’s an easy, simple way that will make me happy. However I am seen as a person without a shred of ambition, a “fool”, almost, who feels happy when she gathers shells... I never paid much attention to it, but I confess that during the years of 2014 to 2020, I tried to change myself, I tried to be someone others wanted me to be. They were really troubled times, when I looked for help even. And one person told me: “if you ask this table to go over there and it doesn’t go, whose fault is it?” It took me some time to fully understand this, but 2020 (oddly, the year of the pandemic) opened my eyes and I found myself again. I am again the silly old bear 🐻 😊 Thank you so much for such an amazing video! I think it was one of my favourites (although they’re all great!) 💙🧡💛💜❤️💚💗🖤♥️
My favorite was always Eeyore. I love how laid back yet helpful he is. Who cares if he gets it twisted….it always works out in the end. Plus he looks so sad, like he needs someone to be on his team. I’m team Eeyore.
Growing up my favorite character was Tigger. I always saw the negative in all of the other characters but as I became an adult and watched the show with my son, I got to know all of the characters a lot better and love them all. They’re all different and unique and are wonderful friends. And can also teach kids about friendship and accepting people.
I love the simplicity and fun of Winnie the Pooh and the innocence of all of the characters. I really love Tiger, he wings it all the time and is hilarious, he is such fun and totally loves life, bouncing in and out of places expecting everyone to love him❤. This was a great video and the information in it very wise 😊 thank you for doing it, such good examples of living life as we should and not making it more complicated, just for the sake of it.
You are so clever and creative!! 🤗❤️ You have such unique, memorable ways of approaching topics and getting your points across!! 👏👏 I love that you delve into deep meaningful topics and bring thoughtful conversation, rather than repeating surface-level ideas that have been discussed in one singular way over and over again by other creators. You’re the real deal! Thank you for yet another amazing video / conversation! 😊❤️
This is one of your best videos ever as it delivers important life messages. I’ve always loved Winnie the Pooh and the “Tao of Poo” book. It is very easy to overcomplicate life and it’s good to be reminded that it doesn’t need to be that way.
What a fun video! Thanks you for reminding me of the simplicity of Pooh Bear :) I love Pooh the very best, because he is calm and has such great friends. Even when he is stuck or if things are not going the way he has planned, he has great adventures!!!
This episode was THE BEST! ❤❤❤ The way you put this vlog together and shared the inspiration you’ve gained from reading this book was so wonderful!! Thank you! 🙏👏 As someone who’s mother regularly read Winnie the Pooh bedtime stories, this was a blast from the past and so fun! I always loved Tigger the best!
What a lovely book to talk about! I was called Meglet by my mom, so you can guess the character I am most like and is my favorite! I would also suggest, although it may seem dangerous (maybe!?)-- if someone else has a phone on them (that you're with) take the opportunity to just leave your phone at home! It's amazing.
I was thrilled today to see this topic as I am about to become a grandma and my son mentioned this book for the baby! Thank you so much. Pooh is my fave because of his silly, happy little self.
JUST LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! I loved Eeyore!! Even though he always started out seeing the, it won’t matter kind of thinking, he was very important character, that helped you understand the rest of the story.. all those sweet underlying gems that showed the true meanings in life. The value of one’s self, how we look at things, the hidden joy that is in every day, in everyone’s life …if we just stop to look. I just shared this video with 6 others who I know would benefit from such simple, uncomplicated, wisdom. Blessings and Thank you for showing up and being who you are…AMAZING…..
Thanks so much for your comment and for sharing the video Rufina 😊💕 I appreciate that! So happy you enjoyed it, I really had a great time making it as well :)
I love Winnie the Pooh. I liked Piglet. He always seemed to question himself but in the end he would end up helping Pooh in situations Pooh got himself into. I love the "I'm Just a Little Black Raincloud" song. as well.
Vera, I love that you said complicated things are not the best way to do things. There's an acronym that spells K.I.S.S. and it means Keep it Simple Stupid. I try to live by this. I also had complicated my life until I didn't.
Life's a journey, not a destination, because the destination is the same for all of us. 💀 It's a little morbid but a constant reminder of momento mori (yes, I am a Stoic 😊), and for me it's a great motivation to live in the present and be grateful to the people and things around us.
THAN YOU so much !!!! I did not know I was sensitive until I saw your Vlog . And wow ……..I would say that is me, I feel like that . And I feel bad not wanted to do everything my family wants.
We had this book in my house growing up. I love Pooh so much! He is my favorite character because he goes through life slowly. I can tend toward being Rabbit, so being more “Pooh-like”is helpful. 💛 But one of my favorite things to do is figure out which character various people in my life are. I have come to the conclusion that we all have bits of each of the characters…which is…delightful😊
I've read this book, along with "The Te of Piglet" a few times. They are wonderful books. ❤ My favorite was always Tigger. He believes he can do anything!
I thought the Winnie The Pooh cartoons is for children only but now when I watch your vlog Ms.Vera so many moral lesson I've learn ❤❤ thank you soooo much for this❤❤
Lovely video today!! I heard it twice. I needed this message today. My husband also liked. He said you are very wise. Thanks for always bringing great content. Love your channel ❤️💐
Vera, this was a charming video, just like the original Winnie The Pooh book. I have always identified with Piglet because he is insecure (like me) and he prefers the intimacy of one good friend (namely, Pooh) to being popular with a big crowd.
This was a ensure to watch. Just last Saturday I was challenged to read this book. What a difference it makes! Thank you for covering it in your way. Its another great representation of relaxing vs soaking in all the noise of the sectors influences.
I love this book there is a second one titled "The Te of Piglet" both are really good and enjoyable. My favorite Winnie the Pooh character is a tie between Tigger just because he is so energetic and Pooh. Thanks for sharing.
I have always loved Winnie the Pooh's outlook on life and it definitely something I have been working towards in my own life. I haven't read this book but I think I will be after watching this video x
It's so funny that I got this book from my friend so many years ago because I love Winnie the Pooh and she thought it is a good gift for me. But unfortunately I was sceptical and I read it only a few days ago (because I have already read all the others book what I have) and I was so suprised that this book is full of useful thoughts and I was the fool that I haven't read it before.
Seems like the timing worked out perfectly for you then :) I always like the saying: when the student is ready, the teacher will show up. If you had read the book earlier, you might not have had a similarly positive experience with it :) Who knows! :)
Great subject for this week's video. I think Eyore is the most relatable character to me as he sums up how I have been these past few years. Winnie the pooh is who I hope to become. 🐻
I like how you phrased that :) I think all the characters have some inspiring traits that I hope to achieve more one day :) Definitely Eeyore as well! It's not easy to keep showing up and being there if you're feeling gloomy and pessimistic. But he's always there, and he always accepts his friends for who they are.
As someone who grew up with Winnie the Pooh, this video is very enjoyable, as well as being informative! It's not always easy to be in this mindset of just letting things be, but whenever it does come to me, I gain so much! Thanks for sharing, Vera! 😊❤
Vera this was exceptional ❤ thanks for such an interesting topic & inspirational quotes ❤ btw you look so happy & calm now that you are in your new home - many blessings 😘
i love this channel; i'm so happy i found you again! i watched you when you first started and then i went back to work... no time for anything!!! but im retired now (years later) and i found you again. you are so lovely!
I just started with a book from J.R.R Tolkien. The books name is The silmerilion, i read the dutch translation of the book. And piglet is my favorite character from Winnie the pooh and pooh are also a favorite. Piglet is very innocent and pooh is always seeking honey and i also like honey just as pooh🍯
Ive read many books on Tao but never read this. I bet its a good book to just pick up and read a few quotes. Taoism has honestly totally altered my mindset so really enjoyed this video xxx
Aww this was so sweet and thoughtful. I guess Piglet for me. We always called our boys by their names followed by Pooh when they were little and now our grands too. Pooh was a favorite in our home. 25 years ago we took our boys to Euro Disney and a stuffed Tigger is what we brought home....still have it to this day. THank you, Vera another great and different video.
"Simple ad-hoc solutions": The best thing I did for my cooking was reading Mark Bittman's books. He says you don't need a lot of elaborate recipes, just a few techniques like roasting/boiling/braising, a basic salad and dressing, and then substitute/add anything you want. I made a casserole by simply sauteeing a pound of beef, tortellini, and onions. (The tortellini had spinach and three chesses inside.) No recipe needed.
For someone that's just moved, congratulations btw. You look great your hair looks amazing and your good vibes are flowing ❤ As a once new mother poo was the theam in the nursery I think I took comfort from it xx
Aw thank you!! :) I just kind of had a good hair day by accident haha. :) I'm still working out what works for my hair. Also yes, I can totally see how you could take comfort from Pooh as a new mom :)
I also like lilltle Pooh's and his friend's simple wisdoms. I ve got a book with quotes from the book which make me smile but also help me live more simply and mindfully. Let's take care after ourselves more in the Winnie the Pooh story style more! 😊
Piglet who else.... : I only make small mistakes because I am just little. I read the taos and tees a long time ago, I found many bits of wisdom in them
Glad you enjoyed it Barbara and that I was able to make a video about a great source of inspiration for people that they enjoyed :) Love your avatar picture!
Hey Vera! Great video and it seems you have just done a kind of book review in the process. I have to say simplicity is so key and especially right now in my life when I am starting a new career. I need to just not force things and enjoy the process and keep it simple. Thanks for this reminder...sorry I don't know much about the Winnie the Pooh characters but piglet sounds like an interesting one 😊
Thank you for this beautiful video, Vera. Something a bit different, and yet it fits your channel perfectly. I shared this video with a beloved friend who is a fan of Pooh. Hope she likes these messages of yours as much as I do! ❤
I never got into Pooh. Maybe Bcuz I grew up in such dysfunction. I guess my fave concept tho is to make sure to stay in the peace zone as much as possible so you can be able to be frivolous sometimes and enjoy life and kind of ride the waves of natural intuition. Such as roll with those silly whims and blessings seem to find you with great ease…and it just works out. Such as my mind has to be “quiet” enough to be able to hear the whisper of those “hunches” that are going to bring good things to me or make my day or give me a good chuckle, etc. Bcuz truly without those little bursts of fun or inspiration, life is a real drag or a giant bucket of stress or both. Also I’ve come to realize that this world has an abundance of trials and tribulations, so it’s just very important to not let that constant downward pull drag you under and keep you there. So you kind of have to make a point to engage in that sort of thing, Bcuz if not it will all be grim and serious and “unfun” the whole time. There will always be more chores and problems to solve no matter what, so it just needs to be left alone sometimes. Like hop off the stress train for awhile and go smell roses or eat strawberries or such, Bcuz the train isn’t ever going to stop for you or stop at all. Lol. I’m prob more like Eeyore if I was going to assess myself. Sarcastic. Pessimistic. Cranky. Had some tough times in life. A little hard core Bcuz I need to have some “grit” and realism in my life (aka eats thistles lol), Etc. Maybe also a bit like Owl Bcuz I’m contemplative, studious, serious and at times rather long winded. 😅😅 I’ll study a thing inside and out and then I’ll want to write a detailed book on it. Lol.
Who's your favorite Winnie the Pooh character, and why? 🙂👇 (P.S. Book link is in the description if you want to read it too.)
Wol. I am also an excellent speller :)
Piglet🐷 in all cartoons/children movies if there is a pig..is my favorite 🙃
Pooh and his lolly kind of way. He was/is so sweet, gentle and adventurous all in pursuit of his beloved honey. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have some sympathy for likable Eyore but without Pooh I would never visit the 100acre woods, so Pooh it is.
Love this! Great book too. Tigger has always been my favorite - love his confidence, cheerfulness, and love of fun - traits I wanted to have more of growing up.
I suffer from extreme mental health issues and your videos are very calming and caring and sweet. Thanks for your video

Favourite Pooh character....Tigger because he's so bouncy and full of life. Thoroughly enjoyable video!!
Love Pooh because he's so mentally minimalistic, and Piglet because of his cute anxiety 😊

Pooh is my favorite character from the 100 Acre Woods because he’s so simplistic! I tend to make mountains out of molehills so it’s a good reminder.
Eeyore! I like the way he talks and his pessimistic attitude that gets turned around by his friends!
He's very cute :) I think in the stories, Eeyore kind of represents depression in a way, but he's also very brave and strong because he keeps showing up and being there for his friends, which is hard to do if you're feeling gloomy, and he accepts them for who they are, even when they make mistakes. :)

Tigger certainly has bounce.

I'm a petit person & always connected with Piglet. He has to overcome fears & I still struggle with this.
I loved this. Pooh is my favorite character. I feel like him most of the time.

What a fun video! Thanks you for reminding me of the simplicity of Pooh Bear :) I love Pooh the very best, because he is calm and has such great friends. Even when he is stuck or if things are not going the way he has planned, he has great adventures!!!

Definitely! It's a book that's fun to read a couple of pages with a cup of coffee or tea. :) Happy you enjoyed the vid!
Aw that's so cute!! :) Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
One of your best videos!
Aw thanks!! I had a lot of fun making it :)
Enjoying the simple process ❤ I've tended to be an Eeyore but I like Tigger's energy.
Heres to Winnie!😊
Yay for Winnie! :)
This was really good and a nice way to reframe stuff. I like pooh the best

Thank you so much! You have a nice weekend too 🤗✨🌱
I particularly recall Pooh finding the North Pole-not being lost and the uncarved block in the book. It’s been ages since I read it. 😀
Yes! Haha. I love how he had Rabbit keep looking for the uncarved block throughout the book, illustrating the concept of the 'bisy backson' 🥰
I loved that book also
I really really liked this one. So cute.. simple..and wise❤
Piglet who else.... : I only make small mistakes because I am just little. I read the taos and tees a long time ago, I found many bits of wisdom in them
Aw Piglet is so cute 🥰
@@SimpleHappyZen so am I 🤣.
Is 't nog gelukt met je kast?
I too relate more to Piglet. He's my favorite. ❤
I want to surround my self with good heart people like you in my life. It's hard to find them
I think it's good to keep looking and have an open mind towards people who might surprise you once you get to know them better. :) Good luck!
Thank you for this beautiful vlog! Tao Of Pooh has always been a great source of inspiration in my life.
Glad you enjoyed it Barbara and that I was able to make a video about a great source of inspiration for people that they enjoyed :) Love your avatar picture!
I love the tao of pooh!
Absolutely loved this video! Thank you
I need to re-read some children's books and see what wisdom I will find there! Perhaps Dr. Seuss teaches us deep wisdom too!
We're never too old to learn, and never too 'wise' to learn from simple wisdoms :)
Great!! Thank you very much from Chile
This is a well loved book in my library! Thanks for your thoughts 💚🙏🏼
Happy to hear it!! :) Thanks Elaine, have a great day
This was a wonderful video …. I requested the book at my library ! Tigger!!!

Thank you for this beautiful video, Vera. Something a bit different, and yet it fits your channel perfectly. I shared this video with a beloved friend who is a fan of Pooh. Hope she likes these messages of yours as much as I do! ❤
Aw thank you!! :) I've been wanting to make this video for some time, so I'm glad I finally got around to it :) Hope your friend likes it too!
you look so good w your hair curly and I love your attitude!🎉🎉🎉
Lol.
