Keep going your doing really well 👏. A bit of a tip. Don't pull the engine up by tightening the mounting bolts up using the gun. The mounts are alloy and it's easy to pull the threads out. Just make sure the engine pulled up flush on the mounts using the hoist. 😊

Dont worry about the chaint and getting the timing right, they've made it very hard to do it wrong as long as you follow the steps and check your work, watch humble mechanic for his r32 chain install, its not the fsi engine but near enough the same

0:30 I worked at Autoeuropa Lissabon. Its quite interesting that they build people movers like the Sharan/ Alhambra for the married couple with kids, but also build a Scirocco for the single boys and the Eos cabriolet for the single girls i presume :) The Eos came with a VR6 FWD DSG drivetrain but they had alot of space constraints, for example it has a weird batterie with two 6 Volt batteries in the trunk. Iam guessing the engine was too heavy/ slow for the Scirocco and they didnt want to loose more space, AWD would have cost even more space. Today Autoeuropa builds the VW T-ROC.

Could keep it as a manual makes it even more one off as there isn’t a manual option for r36

Hey hamza , keep it manual . I have a guy that can program the standard ecu to work. I know your prob thinking that if you turbo it the dsg will hold more but let's me honest auto is not cool. 😂 I've got a manual r36 swapped caddy , no lights on the dash and cruise control works , its possible and as far as i know only a few swap exist that are manual.
Well done on the swap. Plus she'll be quick check considering the fact that passat weight more that a scirocco. So you have taken what belongs to passat and put it on scirocco
Scirocco is a 2 door station wagon /estate, and it’s a V6- see engine top.. VR6 configuration is only in the 2.8/9

I'm sure your rocker cover gasket is fine if you look at where number 1 spark plug is it's right next to the oil top up.
