Normal car brands: making their cars more quiet because of OPF
Hyundai: making their cars louder in addition to OPF😂
The first i30N without Opf is noticeably louder.
But the ones with Opf seam a bit quieter then the new i30N
It is not the OPF's fault! It's the noise emission regulations that came at the same time the OPF came. Sure, the OPF doesn't help, but if it weren't for the regulations the car manufacturers could just get rid of a resonator or muffler after installing the OPF and the car would be as loud as before but they can't because they have to abide by the regulations. However, I still can't believe how Hyundai can homologate such a loud car when all the others can't!

The OPF was never the problem. Sure, it doesn't help with sound. But it's a widespread misconception that the OPF is the problem. It's the noise emission regulations that came at the same time the OPF came. But I see what you mean: Why can Hyundai still homologate a car that sounds like this when all the others can't!
@@sveeny they will re-homologate this car for europe thou...my dealer dude said that they were too loud and had to fix it before they can go back on sale... :(

Every car build after the " sound nerf " will be a lot more quiet .

Yeah, they should make it 10 cm lower and 15 cm wider plus with proper 4wd system like in yaris gr and they should add another 200hp plus much wider tires with bigger rims... That would sure be so fricking awesome

after I drove several 4 an 5 Poppers in the last decate ( Golf 6,7,8 GTI and R , with and without opf and Audi S3 8v and 8y and RS3 8v ) it is for me the first car that I felt in real deep love besides the rs3 8v no opf model and yes I have one in Order 😍😍😍😂
P.S I am so impressed it has 97 db in the papers the new rs3 has only 81 so 16 db louder then the new rs3 ... I know maybe childish but I don't care haha life is to short to drive silent cars

@@keule-cy3en Bin 19 Jahre alt, vielleicht bist du schon etwas älter. Aber der I30N ist meiner Meinung nach an die jüngere Zielgruppe gerichtet. Ich find das knallen geil, im Vergleich zu anderen 2L 4 Zylindern kommt hier eben noch was ausm Auspuff raus. Außerdem muss der kleine ja nicht knallen, kann man ja alles deaktivieren. Aber, dass es die Möglichkeit zum knallen gibt, ist eben sehr nice.😁
@@keule-cy3en falsch. Beide müssen die exakt gleichen Regeln befolgen. Nur Mercedes ist vor den Öko-Spastis eingeknickt und hat im vorrauseilenden Gehorsam und um die Kundschaft schonmal an die E-Mobilität zu ranzuführen den Sound bewusst kastriert.

I miss that era when You could hear the motor revving down without these childish pops and crackles. Like a 5 years old heading into to fair.

@i30NFastbackFacelift Getriebe nur im Sport vermutlich, damit er nicht erst so spät hocchschaltet, nehme ich an? Daran habe ich auch schon gedacht, aber wenn sonst alles auf Maximum ist, dann geht das am besten ab, das stimmt. :)
@i30NFastbackFacelift Ah, ich erinnere mich an diesen Satz! Dann werde ich das auch mal machen. :) Aber auch aus dem zusätzlichen Grund, dass er nicht immer erst bei 3100 Umdrehungen hochschaltet :)
Aber die Aufhängung habe ich bei mit auf normal, möchte meist lieber einen weichen N-Modus :D
@i30NFastbackFacelift Das ist natürlich praktisch. Witzigerweise ist es bei und ja auch möglich, im Custom alles auf Normal zu stellen, aber den Sound auf Maximum, dann habe ich ein ähnliches Ergebnis :D

Let me explain - it sounds like a boy racer's car - the pops and bangs just draw attention to the driver and label them a bell end, that's why. Take out the stupid pops and bangs - better, much better.

@@Wendigo1986 you can see videos of euro examples of this car. Is slightly quieter than before, but still sounds good and does a lot of backfire. Still noisiest in class.

I can't even order it in Germany right now because they have to get more quiet from now on according to my dealer.
In my opinion, I reckon that the i30 N sound better than its competitors in its segment/ class, although I am not a big fan of excessive pops and bangs in this car.
Renault Megane RS sounds better in my opinion
You can configure everything on the i30N, you can make it sound good without the excessive pops and bangs

Könnt ihr vielleicht im Frühjahr nochmal einen mit Sommerreifen fahren und dann was zum Grip sagen? Beim Anfahren rutscht er mit Winterreifen schon viel. :D
Der N rutscht fast immer beim Anfahren mit genügend Gas, hab seit 1 1/2 Jahren den Vorgänger und der erste Gang ist fast nie ganz nutzbar, eher bei 3k in den 2ten und dann greift er meistens. Im Winter ist aber auch mal Wheelspin im 2ten bis oben raus.

Das man dieses Geknalle immer noch so geil finden kann....hat für mich mit gutem Sound echt gar nix zu tun. Dazu noch ordentlich DSG-Gefurze und es ist komplett fürs Klo. Ansonsten aber klasse Auto.
Ich hätte auch gerne mal ein Video ohne AK47 knallen vom Sound weil kann man bestimmt einstellen im custommode
People complaining about the noise. It's only when you back off with dct it pops and cracks. Imagine driving the manual then, each hard shift.. bang! Lol.
With those pops and bangs, the OEM catalyst go’s to hell in a few years..

Hallo liebe Hyundai/ Kia Community.
Seit längerem habe ich die Diskussion mit einem Freund, weil dieser meint das sein 2022 Kia ProCeed GT mit der Werkseitigen Performance Abgasanlage lautet ist als der neue I30N.
Das kann ich mir beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen und in seinem Fahrzeugschein sind auch nur um die 74db eingetragen.
In der beigelegten ABE steht rein gar nichts über die Lautstärke.
Aber die Klappe regelt auch wie verrückt ab 3.000 u/min ist der Sound komplett weg aber bis dahin sehr kernig.
Hyundai I30N über 90db.
Hat jemand von euch vielleicht mal beide gefahren und kann dazu ein kleines Feedback geben ?

It's kinda same, I own a 2020 fastback 91dB, it's same sound but facelift has more pops, I get 2-3 on mine while facelift could do even 5-6 when releasing the throttle

Here in my town (south Germany) this car is mostly driven by guys in their mid 20s and they always drive through the city doing pops and bangs. It is annoying the citizens and also is just a immature behavior

Great car, but I would personally fit custom exhaust with louder DCT fart and less popcorn pops and bangs. It's terrible

There are 3 different settings for the sound of the exhaust. Pops and bangs are on the highest setting
