Your videos have been played a large part in my entry into the Faith. Just today, I attended Mass for the first time in my life after being raised Mormon and rejecting that at 13 years old in favor atheism. In the span of about 6 months, with help of your great videos and so many more creators, in addition to reading the Bible, I now plan to be Baptized. Praise the Lord!

If your attending Mass, it means you’re going to the Catholic Church, to be baptized as an adult you need to first do the catechism.
It’s like a school, you need to graduate on the Bible before they make you a baptized catholic.

I myself lean towards universal reconciliation (those who haven't accepted Jesus or commits sin without asking forgiveness goes to hell to be purged of sin and then goes to heaven). This squares the loving god and makes it somewhat easier to gloss over the ot god's issues.
The other option was that the ot god was actually the 😈 masquerading as God so that's where all the genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes come in.
The option I don't want to consider is that modern human rights philosophy (genocide, r-pe, murder is wrong, even if you think god told you to do it [he's all powerful, he can do it himself], lawgiver should be bound to the same laws) is wrong and that we're all supposed to be in bloodlust and bash people against rocks (eg "happy is he who basheth the little ones upon the rocks"), commit war crimes and crimes against humanity, and kill each other over arguments about god or s-xual orientation. Basically, a miserable existence of constant death and fear of death, lauded as good and just.😢
No idea what specific christian denomination this would follow. Unitarian universalists are different

Good question! While other religions may tell you that there are multiple paths to God, the Christian worldview to put it simply, doesn’t say so, but rather that there is only one path to God and that’s through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Another thing, Christianity teaches of the bodily resurrection of Christ, yet other religions have no godly figures or members in which they were resurrected themselves. And we know this to be true because still, no one has found any archaeological evidence (like bones or a skeleton) that could’ve been Jesus’s body in the tomb. It was empty (Luke 24 1-12).
Now to answer your question, yes! A non Christian CAN be adopted into the heavenly family of God IF they repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. When you have the time, read the story about Rahab from the Old Testament. (Joshua chapter 2) She was a harlot in Jericho who kept two Israelite spies safe, and in return they promised when they conquered Jericho, they would keep her and her family safe if she and said family stay in her house. Harab living in Jericho, would’ve been considered a FOREIGNER to God’s people, but God, had mercy on her and her family because she helped the Israelites, knowing they were coming. Later she even married an Israelite and became part of God’s family. Plus, Jesus’s family line goes back to her! (Matthew 1:5). Point is, Rahab at first wasn’t a part of God’s family, but accepted the Lord into her life and His people. She was once a stranger, a foreigner, but became a fellow citizen with the saints, and of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19). This story alone paints a beautiful picture of how anyone, no matter what walk of life they came from, can be adopted into God’s family, they just need to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and they will truly be saved.
“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Hope this helps! c:

@@axelsdestiny5206 As a non Christian but definite believer in God/gods (youtube isn't the place to get into this peculiar distinction), I just have to note that Hinduism has several avatars of of various gods that have incarnated as different beings multiple times even if it's not precisely 'resurrection' - Krishna is Vishnu relaxed/at play for example, rather than an entirely new god. Indeed, all of the Hindu gods are just ways to represent God, who, in their totality of just simply being God can't be described appropriately in language or even simply to describe one nature or being.
Not trying to be pedantic, but this is among many other reasons I would argue there can be multiple paths to God rather than simply an Abrahamic route, but I respect your faith and wish you peace profound and many blessings :).

      It's pretty based.

    • @BenjaminAnderson21
      @BenjaminAnderson21 Год назад +24

@@deconteville It really depends on whether or not you believe Jesus's claims were valid. If you believe they were then there is no room for believing that there is more than one way to God. Jesus made dozens of statements of personal exclusivity and centrality: "I am the resurrection and the life;" "unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;" but probably the most stark and explicit statement was this: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
If Jesus really is the Christ, the Son of Man, then you cannot be saved apart from faith in him any more than you can survive without food and water. Because just as water and bread are necessary food and drink for the body, just so Jesus is necessary food and drink for the soul. "He who comes to me will never hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst... ...for this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him will have eternal life, and I myself will raise him up on the last day... ...for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."

Cursing someone means to do a deal with some lesser demon or Lucifer himself to wish undo harm upon somebody in some dark pact. Catholicism does not do this. It affirms (and I and all the faithful agree) that that we are the church that Christ created through His death, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven, and that those who affirm the divinity of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit yet do not follow the universal church, have put themselves in a dire situation, as Christ proclaimed that HIs church would remain undivided and Universal (Mt 16:18-19) and that not even the forces of Sheol would overcome it

The Church thrives best under persecution. The atheist sees the willingness of the Christians to suffer and die for Jesus, and are moved. They can't un-see it.
During Roman times, they would feed Christians to the lions with all of Rome watching on. For every Christian who died in the Coliseum, two more new converts appeared.
Don't be astonished how a denomination survived under persecution. Wonder instead how any denomination survives without it.

While I do think a personal connection with God and thus prayer and Bible reading is very important, my biggest concerns with the Baptist POV is that it is too individual focused, which means people will develop vastly different interpretations of the Bible, and often times interpret thje Bible to justify their own views, even if its an incorrect interpretation. Imo it is better to have an authority (namely a Church created by Jesus Christ that traces its origin back to St Peter himself) help with the interpretation of the Bible, as it is an insanely complex reading and there is a lot of room for misunderstanding

@@FaithfulComforterCatholics don't worship Mary. They honor and give reverence to her as she is literally the mother of God, the womb who birthed Salvation, she who has accepted God out of obedience and humility. Just as a mother and her child, no one on earth could have ever loved Jesus more than His mother.
Purgatory is in the Bible. See Corinthians 3:11-15. It doesn't state "Purgatory" verbatim but it is definitely there through context, just like how every self-respecting Christian believes in the Trinity, which doesn't show in the Bible verbatim but is there contextually in Matthew 28:19. Even the mere presence and existence of the Holy Spirit as God had to be fought over by the Catholics in Constantinople back in the day.
The Modern Bible may be the written word of God, but it is what it is, a collection of ancient books, translated into Latin by Jerome, compiled and rewritten by Catholic monks and cannonized by councils before it could even be translated into English. It is a work of translation and contextualization that should be read with great understanding and wisdom. There is no room for nitpicking. Some words are direct while others, especially with Paul's letters, require context. It is not a blueprint to the universe, not some magical book that tells you what to do next in your life, it is an incomplete work of man inspired by the divine that men of old have died over. Even John states that it is so since no book in the world could ever fit the entire works of Christ.
So, if you say that it isn't in the Bible, ask yourself again, why does it exist? The Catholics have worked on their beliefs since Peter was given the keys to the kingdom. You can thank him too for resolving whether you had to be circumcised to be Christian in The Acts, which Christ did not teach while on earth, mind you. There are many things on earth that the Bible did not write about, so don't worship the Bible. Worship God like the rest of us.
If I could guess why he left the Baptists was because probably he is American and it's in their culture to "religion hop" Sad that his spouse left the Catholic Church, probably due to the current leaders. May they both see the Truth.

And in another place in scripture it is said that we should all say the same things after all it is suppose to be the same spirit who guides us. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
A Christian who believes this, & I do, is not going to accept any other way. That is just the nature of believing what scripture says. To me wanting to be accepted by the world will certainly not lead you in the path of truth.
Jesus was NOT a joiner, he said: "Do you think that I came to give peace on the earth? No, I say to you, but rather division. For from now there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." Luke 12:51-53
These verses are straight up not difficult to understand. So when you want unity without understanding what your Lord & Master wants, you are doing what is right in your own eyes, you are natural man/mankind & "But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because spiritually they are discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14
I am against compromising God's word to get along with others who simply disregard the scriptures, preferring to do what is right in their own eyes. So any ecumenism that goes against what the scriptures correctly understood says, is a no go as it should be. When you have your feelings/heart as the standard of what is right & wrong, you have made yourself the judge of good & evil which hearkens back to the garden & the tree of the knowledge of good & evil; which is how we got here in the first place. Genesis chapter 3/Jeremiah 17:9:
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

"Being the hands and feet of Christ."
Mission trips started at age 12 at the youngest, but even younger children were encouraged to go and find ways to volunteer. It was never about using the opportunity to preach or proselytize, but to show Christ's compassion, mercy, and generosity through charitable action.
Hurricane or tornado comes through? Within a week our church had people onsite, helping to rebuild. Going to a homeless shelter to cook meals? If anyone was caught taking pictures or treating the people at the shelter like props or animals, ooohhwhee that was a bad time. I still respect the Methodist churches for that.

Heavenly Father says (from 10/10/2007 message to Verne Dagenais in 'God speaks will you listen'): "Many in your world teach and believe all religions lead you to God. Many believe it does not matter how you pray because all religions pray to the same God. This is one of the most hideous lies Satan has deceived mankind into believing. These lies are causing many to spend eternity in Hell. There is only one way to Heaven. Partial truth will not gain you entrance to My Kingdom.

My Son stated; "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me (John14:6)." My Son is the bridge and the gate into My Kingdom. Without My Son’s Life in your soul, you will suffer eternal death. My Word further states: "He that hates Me hates My Father also (John 15:23)." Further My Word states: "Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father. He that confesses the Son, has the Father also (1 John 2:23)." For My Son also stated: "I and the Father are one (John 10:30) and he that sees Me sees the Father also (John 14:9)." You cannot have a relationship with your Father without My Son. You MUST have My Son’s Divine Life in your soul and be in Sanctifying Grace to enter Heaven. There are no exceptions to this rule. These are the Eternal Laws spoken by the Almighty.

Satan is trying to trap and deceive My children into denying these Truths. All religions teach partial Truth, except the Holy Roman Catholic Church. It is the Only Church which teaches the fullness or completeness of My Revelation to mankind. All other Christian denominations only teach partial truth. This is the design of Satan. Satan knows how mankind enters Heaven. He knows by denying My Son (in the Holy Eucharist) and refusing My Son’s mercy (given through the Sacraments), will send a soul to Hell."

@greglejacques1094 Our Lord says (from 10/28/2006 message to Verne Dagenais in 'God speaks will you listen'): "No one enters Heaven without embracing All My Truth. There will be no schisms or fighting in Heaven. Everyone in Heaven knows the Truth. Do you realize one of the worst events in the history of the world was the protestant reformation? For it caused division in My Church. Here is an example. If you plant a seed and do not water it, it will not grow. But if you water it, it will germinate and, in the midst of a garden of flowers, a weed can sprout. Many weeds can destroy gardens. So it is with My Church. The author of confusion, Satan, spread doubts in My priests, like Martin Luther. Instead of rebuking these doubts, he let Satan water his doubts, weeds grew, and confusion and schism came in My Church. This was not My Will. Let Me ask you a question; how much Truth do you want? 100%, 50% or 25%? Anything less then 100% of My Truth will cause confusion. There is only one source of Truth in the Universe, the Holy Trinity, anything else comes from Satan.

When you read and study protestant ministers and prophets, who do not teach 100% of My Truth, where is there source of truth coming from? It is not from Jesus. It is from their own imagination or Satan. Remember Satan loves to sow confusion. He is infinitely smarter than humans and he knows the Truth. His goal is to deceive mankind. When you read a prophet who denies My Church, blasphemes My Blessed Mother, and profanes My Eucharist, why listen to that prophet, for that teaching comes from one place, the pit of Hell. That is not to say I do not work through protestant ministers, because Any Words of Mine are Truth. I desire all men to be saved. But many are held in ignorance of not their own fault.

You have a choice: follow false teachers, those who teach partial Truth, or follow Me completely. Come to Me in the Blessed Sacrament and let Me teach you along with My holy priests, messengers, and My Church. Do not spend your time with those, who teach only partial Truth. Say 'Jesus, I trust in You', and I will lead you."

Catholicism, as in the pope, split from the body of the Church in 1054, if he was right to challenge Constantinople, why didn't the other Holy Sees of the Pentarchy follow him, they were outside greek influence and power, being under the muslims. You have to "thank" the catholics for leading your ancestors astray and then even further into protestantism...

As the old saying goes, "Theology is the queen of sciences, and philosophy is her handmaiden."
