  • This is one of the classic trails in the Lake District National Park, taking in the summits of Nab Scar, Heron Pike, Great Rigg, Fairfield, Hart Crag, Dove Crag, High Pike and Low Pike. On good clear days the views are extensive. The 18.49 km loop begins in the picturesque town of Ambleside and takes you through a series of eight peaks, with Fairfield being the highest at 873 meters. As you ascend, the rugged terrain and sweeping views over Rydal Water and Grasmere create a sense of awe and adventure. The trail is a mix of rocky paths and grassy ridges, making it both exhilarating and physically demanding. Camping along the route adds to the experience, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the natural beauty and tranquility of the area. The ever-changing weather, from misty mornings to clear, expansive skies, adds a dynamic element to the trek, making it an unforgettable journey through one of England’s most stunning landscapes.
I guess this is going to be my last expedition in the United Kingdom. Thanks for watching and let me know what you think about the video in the comments.
