I saw Mazzy Star live in small venues twice, years ago. Hope Sandoval struggled if the crowd wasn’t completely quiet when she sang this song, it seemed to be a drain on her soul but when everyone shut up, they were enraptured by her haunting performance. It sounds as if it were a living memory of yours that hasn't faded among the many calamities of the long life.
