Episode 8 is split into 2 parts as we sample 6 different restaurants in and around Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria.
The first of our second V.I.P tucked away in the corner of the Puerto Rico Shopping Centre, behind sixty nine 2 bar. This is a lovely little pizzeria and a bit of a hidden gem, but highly ranked on TripAdvisor. Highly recommended.
The 2nd restaurant is a chinese buffet also based in the main Commercial Centre of Puerto Rico, Wok Pekin. We sample various dishes from the buffet and show you what is available form the freshly cooked counter. We chose this to review as it seems to be a popular choice amongst holiday makers. We give you our verdict on the buffet.
The last of our restaurant reviews come from Fran's Restaurant, overlooking the beach at Puerto Rico. We try the mixed kebab here on our last night. This may well have been the best meal we had during our time in Gran Canaria and we would highly recommend a visit here.

VIP PIZZA is the best in Puerto Rico Huge portions and excellent value .We have at least one in house and one takeaway a week when we are there.Great staff .

Our favourite ones in Gran Canaria, Puerto Rico in particular are Happy Valley Indian, never miss a chance to go there, and also the Greek restaurant at the port..Rhodos Palace. Great vlog have to say the food you got cooked in the chinese chicken and mushroom looked like it wasnt cooked at all pizza was fab and the kabab thanks for showing us .
Thanks you Mary, hope you found it useful. Most of the food was great, we just happened to capture some.of the bad ones. I suppose it gives our reviews a bit of perspective though. Hopefully shows how honest we are about things.

Looking forward to trying VIP, as I have heard good reports. My favourite in the main CC is Cristina’s , tucked away in the front left ( McDonald’s side) of the centre.
VIP is great, especially of you're wanting a quick meal. The pizza was superb, highly recommended.
We are just back from Peurto Rico, we really struggled to find anything nice to eat, we didnt go to the Tipsy Bee unfortunately, chinese buffet was a total waste of 55 euros as none of us ate a single thing, breakfast fry ups were the only thing we enjoyed really
Yes we had some very disappointing food during our time there. We did have some great ones too though. Frans,Tipsy Bee, place down at amadores and VIP pizza were all superb.
Really enjoyed every video. I see the XQ Vistamar in the background when you were outside Frans must be next door we are going there next year . Never had a Chinese out there as our daughter is a very picky eater . Look forward to your next trip away
Don't bother with the Chinese, it was horrendous, but please do try Fran's. Lovely staff and the food we had was fantastic. They do a cracking Sangria too of you just fancy a drink off the beach. Say hello to the staff from us if you do go, they'll be happy of the business.

Yes avoid those buffets. We kind of expected it to be bad but wanted to show people our experience and tell it as it was, people deserve it really.
