It's very common jello and generally nothing to worry about as long as you catch it early. It can rust up the gears.

Hey thanks for the great video. I’ve got a Tohatsu 20hp that appears to be identical. I’m struggling with removing the oil seal with a punch. Thanks again from Texas.
No worries TH. It is exactly the same my service kit says tohatsu all over it.
It should come out with a punch be careful you dont damage or scratch the surface the seal goes against it will leak other wise take your time
@@C3BFA Were you able to get it out by punching from the inside out as in your video or did you end up having to hit it straight on to get it to fold?

I have the same Mariner, and į have a problem with a gears, my pinion tooth's and front gear tooth's are broken, i can't find anywhere, maybe u know where i can find these gears to buy? Thanks

Just put some instant gasket dont need new case
It was fine never had an issue again after this. I would prefer not to bodge it tho if it was leaking after this I would of replaced the bearing carrier.
