I had all 4 of mines pulled on monday. surgery with light sedation( I don't remember a thing but going to sleep and waking up). I did not cry. I remember being very frustrated because I could not feel my face and whenever I tried to drink anything it basically overflowed from my mouth. The sedation didnt wear off untill about 5-7hours. Pre op----- Cheat code. ---If you drink 64oz of pineapple juice before your surgery It will help reduce swelling and bruising---- 1. Clean what ever u need because you will honestly be in bed for a week( Clean your room, wash clothes, do dishes etc.) 2. Have liquids for at least 7 days worth of meals. I honestly do not even recommend pasta the first 7 days. You will regret chewing even in the front teeth. 3. Make sure you have someone to help and or check in on you for the first few days. by the 2-3rd day I had break threw pain and I needed someone to make me food. 😔😞 4. Prep your room. ( Towels or hand towels for the blood and spit that will be your first day out of surgery) 5. Have a list of shows to watch. I mean you will be in bed most part of 7 days 6. Listen and follow the medication real tight. A hour behind can lead to some break threw pain. Post Operation 1. Please make sure you get your medications filled asap.( Take them as soon as you have upper lip filling, It will save time and pain) 2. No EXCERSICE 3. Have ice and or heating pad ready. after the 1st day the swelling will have you looking like a ballon. The ice and heat will also reduce the pain a bit. My doctor told me 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. so i just rotated sides. 3. Depending on how you are stitched up you can feel your stiches so eating soft food can be a bit much. 4. do not pull your cheeks😑You can pull stitches and inflame your face to swelling again. 5.make sure to drink lots of water. It will save you later once your done with the meds. 6. Do not to eat anything with, nuts, seed, or buts in it. You can get food stuck in you mouth which can cause discomfort and it can irate and inflame your mouth again ---Just sharing my experience---- I also had oci codeine. 800 ibuprofen, antibiotic along with what i would call 500mg Tylenol The 1st 2 days were as expected. the 3rd to 4th day i felt like the meds were bot enough. I had to use heating pad and ice bag in rotation along with one oci codeine every 6-8hrs. I honestly slept all day 3rd n 4th day. Apparently the oral surgeon said those are you peak days. Thats all I have for that. my upper wisdom teeth didn't have space so they were taken out regular. My bottom teeth were half way inside of my gums, also after x rays we found out the roots were wrapped around my nerves so they had to do coronectomy. So my problems may be different from yours. Just a heads up.🤯🤯🥺🥺🥺🥺You have made it this far no turning back now.
I second her sentiments whole heartedly… I thought I could get away with half a Tylenol 3 and a nap after three wisdom teeth were removed at once… that was two days ago and now my breakthrough pain has me tearing up and curled up in a ball under the covers. Seriously, no food that requires chewing or leaves any type of bits. I’m unfortunately going to have to wave my white flag and surrender my stubbornness for the pain medication regimen and hot/cold compresses. Silly me scheduled myself the next 4 nights of work and now all I want to do is sleep to avoid hearing my stomach growl and my pain to subside. These tips are seriously helpful so thank you. I’m very grateful to have stumbled upon this video and this comment. 🙏🏼

2 weeks ago i had a tooth filling. the sedation was fine. no pain. i was numb for like 7 hours later. thumb up for that sedation. then 2 days ago i had a wisdom tooth removed. i swear. the sedation did not work. i was not 10% as numb like when i just had a tooth filling. i felt everything. most painfull experience i ever had. and i am not a cry baby. broke my hand once... that was nothing in comparison. you know you live when you have a wisdom tooth pulled out with no sedation. luckily they were fast. took only 2 min. of unimaginable pain. the bleeding settled down after like 2 hours. then 6 hours with some medium bleeding then it was just some red ish spit for another 10 hours after that. and i have not had ANY pain AT all. is that normal ? as in i have no pain at all. its like i never had a tooth removed. so strange i havent used anything. the pain is just not there. 6 hours after on the first day i had some rye bread. for dinner. 2. day i ordered a pizza. i just try to chew on the opposite side and avoid to much food on the left one where my tooth used to be. cleaning my mouth 30 min after each meal. brush / and some mouth wash. so wierd i fell no pain... im so confused. is it normal ?
Your really lucky 👍... I was given local anaesthesia which didn't at all I could feel everything so they gave it again and it didn't work again. I felt terrible pain and almost fainted. Once I got my stitches I couldn't feel a thing on my face for 4 hours.. but then it's been 4 days and the pain im experiencing is unexplainable

When you mentioned things to avoid for 10 days, then you said also avoid alcohol but did not say how long. I hope it is not also 10 days. I have seen many websites saying 3 - 5 days for beer.
