"Didn't crash on the opening FMV!"
When that's a "good start", you know you're in for a ride.
Lmao, I bought the remastered HD collection of 2 and 3 for the PS3 and it kept crashing around the opening, never got fixed. Just Konami things.
@@Spaced92 2 years old but this is not even the HD collection. That doesn't have Quick Save, only the PC version does.
I've played this game in almost all versions and it never crashed on me, I wonder if I'm just lucky
@@davidchez513 They never said it was. They were just saying it's a Konami thing cause other bugs in their games lol.
30:50 shout out to the guy yelling "The key to my heart baby!"
That one guy doing over the top wooing after everything is my hero
There was a Game here
It's saved now...
every time I see punchy run I remember this SH1 run he did a few years ago where the people around him just didn't give a shit about his run and they were talking about food during his explanations. eating during his run, on camera. pantomiming to the people off camera. he was fuckin furious. I always feel bad for him when I think about that run. that had to have been shitty. but here he is having a good time and being entertaining, so clearly he didn't let that bullshit keep him down.
CptZSLight which year was this?
@@Mitwadus 2018 I believe
I love punchy. He's stressed out, so he's relatable. He's easily aggravated, so he's relatable. He's charismatic, so he's fun to watch.
Same dude
thepacman2 he’s basically a cute version of TearOfGrace
this is sad
i felt the exact opposite about his demeanor. but i enjoyed the run
I enjoyed watching...but charismatic is a reach lol.
Unless the criteria for charismatic is "Talks alot"
I like how during the dog ending, the dog growls when Eddie is on the screen because Eddie kills dogs.
36:53 - “Game saved.”
“Can’t save. YOU FOOL!”
Don’t know why that made me laugh so much.
Dude dropped a 50 just to get bodied
"Wrong! Wrong! You did common sense again, you fool!"
"You fell for one of the classic blunders!"
This 50 minute Arby's commercial was great, they have the meats.
when the runner and the couch are just having fun guess what? so are we.
Mary: Come over
James: You're dead and Silent Hill is scary
Mary: I'm waiting in our 'Special Place'.
James: 1:03
Spoiler alert lol
punchy has the best explanations of minutiae ever, and we need more of it.
this man is a commentary genius - i dont know how he can keep up the pace with his talking and playing perfectly
"It's too dark to SAVE the GAME!"
Setup (23:33) and Punchline (36:16). "Where'd the sign come from!?"
18:27 "I really wish we had a sign saying Game Saved."
I'm late, but I feel the need to put 54:16 in here ("The Old Gods")
Punchyline
Watched it live, easily one of my all time favourite runs on a GDQ event
"i watched it live" Weird flex but ok....
Love all the camera whine XD
this is genuinely amazing
he reminds me of the guy who did Bloodborne at another GDQ, just caffeinated
You mean HeyZeusHeresToast? Also, my first thought was something stronger than coffee, since Punchi is not usually that excited in the least xD
I was thinking last year resident evil 7. That guy was amazing
Tomaž Vehar punchi is a sarcastic bastard. But woo.
He ran it again this year, even more electrified hahah
I know this is a little late, but Zeus also did Bloodborne at this event! It wasn't on the schedule but ended up being a bonus game donation incentive
One of the best GDQ runs ever. It's incredibly entertaining and Punchy is the most charismatic runner ever. Couch is also incredibly funny.
Punchy is one of the better, most entertaining runners out there. : ) yeah instant like for this one.
Can we start giving prizes to the most entertaining runners? I love it when they're able to have a great time with it.
the prize is more people viewing them on twitch ;)
This guy sounds like he speedruns his whole life
He seems to hate this game but its obvious he loves this so much.
This was the very first run I watched by Punchy and I was totally blown away by his charisma. He remains my favorite runner to this day!
Punchy hands down best speedrunner to watch. Never dull
Did he save at any point in this game?
I don't think so
CAN'T SAVE
Watched it through again... dunno, anyone got a timestamp?
41:16 I think I saw the word save on screen for like 2 frames? I dunno, he was going pretty fast.
He saved the game
ok im only 1 minute into watching the run and im in love with this guys commentary already
He is saving every frame.
This run and the awful block were my absolute favorites of AGDQ 2019. Punchy's an excellent runner and it's awesome to be able to come back to the vods.
I've been waiting for the re-upload of this ever since the run. The run started somewhat after 7AM in my timezone and I watched the stream in bed with my tablet. However, I fell asleep a few minutes into the run and woke up for a short time at 53:30. I kid you not, I was puzzled all week whether this actually happened on stream or whether it was some weird dream.
Everytime Punchy's here you know this will be fun
The last Blockbuster is in Bend, Oregon, USA about two hours from my house. Fun fact for y'all.
Oh yeah, I remember this guy on the Dogs Life run! I like how he reminds me of an eccentric science-y type.
I watch GDQ for these types of videos, they involve people who truly love the game being speedran and the money goes to a good cause. Looking forward to making my $1000 donation when I can. Keep up the hype.
Holy shit I’m losing my breath just from listening to this guy lol
Loved Punchy's SH1 run, love this too. SH2 is my second favorite game of all time, and I'm so happy to see it quickly getting wrecked like this!
41:33 I know i'll keep coming back to this clip every now and then just to laugh my ass off.
i love the mental image of james just casually jogging past all the horrors of silent hill
also i love this run bc it skips over the cut scene of eddie vomiting - among all the gore and horror in this game, that's the one part i cannot stand. eddie's VA is just too good 😂
This run is great. Love the energy and information. You can tell they really enjoy the game.
I literally just watched him do this run on the european speedrun channel a few days ago but he is so charismatic I can watch it all again.
me, too :P
I watched his ESA run of Silent Hill 3 a few weeks ago and the game glitched so hard the difficulty got corrupted.
There is so much salt in this speedrun! I love it!
When I see Punchi, it's an instant like, I know he's going to make the best content.
Most entertaining runner, every single time! Props to the knowledgeable but laid back couch too.
I really don't get speedrunning but at the same time I love how they find all this shortcuts and glitches
That crowd moan at 56:02
This guy is a great entertaining speedrunner!
I think Punchy has become one of my favorite runners
Loved the Sierra game puzzle logic reference regarding the wax doll, lighter and horseshoe. Dead on.
How could a game that haunted my dreams and kept me up at night be made funny? And this game took me a long time to complete.
mad respect to the first guy who donated at beginning of the video, stay strong pal.
"This run is full of game saves! How can you sit there and skip cutscenes?!"
Punchy speed runs his sentences
another sad reminder of this series :(
Silent Hill the series has become Silent Hill itself, sad memories of a few people, people reminded are suffering
I love how it took Punchy 13 minutes to notice the big "Game Saved" poster
Pyramid Head gets shot 7 times by James and leaves
James: Am I a joke to you?
The real question James should be asking Eddie about the pizza isn't that he's eating pizza but instead we're did he even get a pizza in silent Hill?
Maybe his version of Silent Hill provides pizza as his healing items. :P
Pyramid Head runs a pizzeria in his spare time
Pizza? That looks like...pizza to you?
Don't worry. It's just a joke!
I think it's implied the little girl got it from the normal world and have it to Eddie
Considering he will never get to taste pizza ever again, the real question he should be asking is if he can have a slice
Run by Punchy is insta like :D
he's funny too lol hope he runs SH3 next year
@@AudioXVNVXTheNightLife Would be fitting, agdq 2018 SH, 2019 SH2, 2020 SH3?
@@C0DW1TH5ANDEL5 he is actually running SH3 in SGDQ2019
I look away for a couple of seconds and dudes already on the next part holy shit
It takes a special personality to make this game fucking hilarious. Great run!
Punchy is an energy drink in human form.
*GAME SAVED*
I hope he saves the game sometimes, what would he do if something bad happened ;--;
iirc He ran some other SH game on previous GDQs. Amazing run, amazing commentary, awesome couch and Studio on donations. Absolute pleasure to watch.
Dawid Zdziarski last year he did SH1
"The old gods!" got me way harder than it should've.
28:09 "There was an enemy here, it's gone now"
Nice reference to THE HOLE
"The old gods"
I woke up today from a Silent Hill dream where I had to use keyboard and mouse to control myself running from and fighting monsters. In the dream I knew I hated using tank controls and got hit often and kept messing up puzzles. I wish you could have seen the monster design. Were a mix of Alien, Dead Space and Tentacle Pron. Actually frightening and difficult to avoid and I kept falling into a dirty pool of algae water.
I love the part where he saves the game!
This is the greatest game saving simulator of all time.
The ingame scream + couch improvisation 35:12 loool
Can’t wait for punchy appearing on GDQ for SH2 REMAKE!!!
Yayyy doggo ending! Thank you GDQ, one of my fav events!
Normal people: I don't trust the game, I'm gonna save twice.
Punchy: G A M E S A V E D
I N V I S I B L E P I A N O C H I L D
“You’re a speed runner, Harry”
i like how he tells us exactly what he's doing and how he's doing it
0:46... That's the sound of somebody being murdered.
They got a "Game Saved" drawing, but I wish they had gotten one for the low health cross as well x)
46:18, citation added. I will be upset if they change reverse my edits too
One of my favorite runs I have seen!
this category should be called Silent hill doge%
Silent hill will forever be equated with what is love for me
Shoutout to the guy who screamed “YEAHHHHH!!”
'KEY TO MY HEART BAYBEEE!'
Thank you adderall. This run fucking rocked. What a joy this runner is.
Still my favourite speedrun of all time :)
Real run starts at 53:00
There's still like, 3 or four family videos around here, surprisingly
Damn Punchy does great commentary.
Would you like to continue with the game?
Punchy: No, I don't think i will
Punchy is like the perfect combinaison between Mac Miller and Daniel Radcliffe and its great.
Punchy is a genuinely likeable guy, love the runs he does
Punchy is so engaging and funny. One of my favourite runners.
𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃
Awesome commentary!
GAME SAVED
54:52 Best Part
I used to love Blockbuster!
That business was the entire reason I enjoyed PS2 so much. I would sometimes just sit there playing Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One playing Liberator because I always enjoyed that mission.
To this day I have no clue if I ever finished that game... My PS2 is currently broken, so if I haven't, I can't anymore. I also switched from playing Playstation to Xbox to PC (I'm a PC player now), so my skills are massively screwed in the way of Playstation controls.
The depression I had when that place shut down was unbelievable.
Maxylobes hardly got a word in. Feelsbadman. Punchy did talk literally non-stop though, which is refreshing coming from a runner.
the sounds in this game deeply unsettle me.. great run!
