    Vote to frog the orange top. It’s lovely yarn. I speak from experience as I knit an asymmetrical top in Shibui Linen a lot of years ago and ended up not loving the design. Ripped it out and the 4 balls are waiting to be knit in a sweater I love. Good luck with this! Thanks for another great episode!

    Oh Tash, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's car. How horrible - and scary. Thank you, once again, for a terrific podcast. I am about to swatch for my own Fjolla in the same yarn/yarn colour. I believe Hand Make Create has put together kits for Stromboli. I know the Tash who owns HMC is working on one right now. You are welcome - and thank you for the feedback. Even now i have to pause to think which number needs to be on top of the fraction and which needs to be on the bottom. Another great vlog Tash. Thank you. I’ve just finished my Sabai top (just the ends to sew in). It took longer than I planned because I had to order more yarn and luckily they had the same dye lot. It has a really nice pattern down the sides from the underarm - a rib - which I decided to split at the hip area (body shape 😂😂). Still to block it but fairly happy with the result
    I had a car stolen from the street where I lived (a flat/apartment) it was an old, old mini and they used it as a get away car in a robbery but they’d stolen it the day before I got paid so very, very little petrol in the tank and, they turned into a dead end street. I got a newer mini after that. Loving your charisma sweater and doing the short rows😊 made a very lovely finish on the shoulder. 🙋🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I was excited to see another one of your podcasts come out - your work is always stunning and aspire to be "that knitter" one day. I'm wondering if you have any tips for working with summer fibers - linen, cotton blends, etc.? Currently my work with those yarns looks like the one you pulled out from 9 years ago but you've obviously come a long way since then. Any tips to make stitches look more consistent with that type of fiber?

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  28 дней назад +1

      I tend to knit these at a slightly tighter gauge (smaller needles) and i find wooden needles can help. If possible, working with a blend is a good option. 100% linen is difficult but some yarns are definitely easier to work and give more consistent results than others. For example, the Euroflax linen i used for my Versaille Shell gave much better results than this Shibui. I dont know if that is much help but these are a few things i have tried. :)
