I really needed to see this and how cut it. I have a plant that has the two Keiki's like the one in the video. I haven't done anything with them because I didn't know for sure what to do. They are even blooming!! I'll wait till they stop blooming and separate them from the mother plant. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. These Keiki's are mature plants. Thanks Susan

I would recommend doing that, wait for the plant to stop flowering, and then separate the two. Thanks for watching!

Did you treat the cut ends with anything on baby plant and mother plant. I've seen many Orchid care videos and they suggest the cut end is dipped into some kind spice like cinnamon I believe it was. Also odd means of feeding via garlic or onion soaked into water and wonder your views in these feed?

Shouldn't you water the keiki after potting it?

If a keiki doesn’t produce will a new flower spike form, or will it eventually need to be trimmed?

Howzit. Nice video. Always informational. Keiki is pronounced kay-kee. Not kee-kee. Mahalo.
