Who Should The Giants Draft In The First Round? 🤔
I’ve gone back-and-forth on this so many times. Unless they can move up to three for a reasonable price, and I say reasonable, just stay at six and pick a wide receiver.
I also say wide receiver, because I don’t think they’re taking a past roster this high. There’s nobody on that level. I like Dallas Turner but I don’t see him in that light and I don’t see them going offensive line, although I would not hate it.
I counter by asking what odds would you put the Giants draft JJ McCarthy? I do believe McCarthy will go top 10 due to the Vikes/Broncs/Raiders hanging just outside the top 10 and will be needing a QB to some high degree. But one could argue, Giants could take JJ too
Will you analyze the texans for a video? They seem like such an exciting team with a bright future ahead of them.
Nabers
Must be OT
The fact that Darius has been the leading receiver 4 times but has never had more than 800 yards….is embarrassing
😭
It’s been a sad little bit
Puts haven’t had a 800 yard wr in several years
Saquan
Dave Gettleman will never be forgiven for trading Odell Beckham Jr. He is BANNED from NY
My grandaddy grew up in New York and was a big Giants fan. The last year of his life was the year where Daniel Jones rebounded and went to the playoffs, and I'll never forget visiting him in the hospital and telling him that the Giants beat the Vikings. I'd love to have him here but he left the Giants at a good time, he didn't need to see any of this shit
Sorry to hear my boi
That’s somehow sad and wholesome at the same time. My condolences
He got to live in the Vanilla Vick hype era before he left this world for a better one. I’m sorry for your loss.
My condolences
Condolences to you and your family may he be in a better place and RIP.
Giants drafting has been pathetic. Imagine drafting 7 top 10 pics in 9 years and getting ONLY ONE (Thomas) consistently great player. Just ridiculously bad drafting
EXACTLY!!
Thats doesnt sound that bad considering im a raider fan 😂
We hated Dave Gettleman bro. 2024 will be fully on Joe Schoen if it goes south
@@MrGamerz20 joes pics don’t look much better than Dave’s so far. Neal may be the biggest miss of the decade. Maybe it’s ownership? We will never know.
Kayvon was good too
Growing up as a kid watching Eli & those 2000s giants play their heart out makes me very, very, very, very, sad watching this currents Giants team the last few years.
We won because of that 1-2 punch of RB duo. That will never be replicated again. Bradshaw and Jacobs, man, I wish we could have kept them together. They had perfect synergy and the perfect mentality to win games. So underrated.
This reminds me of the Giant teams of the late 60's and early 70's. Very pathetic.
*12 years
@@azikkiiward was good too. It was the offensive line. The line fell apart after the 2012 superbowl run and the giants were never the same without them.
Evan Neal should flip burgers.
I hope he never lives that disrespectful ass comment down. The burger flippers pay his salary.
Should work to a less popular spot, so he won't have to deal with the pressures
Flip neal
True
Send him to the In N Out Burger restaurant in Oakland.

@@Luke-ji8to all our decent players? Do you watch football? Puka Nacua, Byron Young, Kobie Turner, all rookies last year and were top in their positions. Kyren Williams is a third year player, what are you smoking? Cause you ain’t cooking shit
@@Luke-ji8to y’all said the same thing after we won the 🏆, and made the playoffs a season later 💀 giants will be a joke for a long time to come. You don’t have any decent players to even worry about 🤣
They could have, and should have traded Barkley the past two seasons. Now they will let him go for nothing. Constant mismanagement of assets.
Giants looking stupid as F
I know the Watson contract is the worst contract of all time, but WOW that Jones deal is straight rancid. What a total boss his agent much be.
No! It’s actually the Wilson Contract
They have an out on jones after this season
From a PR perspective, sure. However, when it comes to impacting the team’s success, Jones and Wilson have been far worse than Watson.
@@christiancorley4309How so? Watson has barely played and has been putrid when he has played. Just because the Browns made it work doesn't mean that isn't currently the worst possible contract. Massive contract, all guaranteed, traded picks, horrible play, everything is terrible there.
@@christiancorley4309idk man the browns gave up a LOT of picks. I know they're successful right now, but between the salary cap and no first rounders I think long term the browns are in the most trouble.
Jones is just not it man, whether he’s the QB next year or not Giants fans need to get a grip and realize it.
He’s going to be on the team no matter what his contract is too big
@@j.r.3945 I suspect this will be his last shot though. If he plays poorly they will have no choice but to replace him. And that contract will haunt them for a while.
@@alienlife7754 they’ve already given up on him forget the play he can’t stay healthy so it really doesn’t matter even if he plays at an mvp level he’s getting traded atp. They very clearly want a new qb. This is how they were supposed to be building the team before they overreacted to early success and signed him to big money
He’s the most confounding decision by an nfl team I’ve ever seen
There are so many possible routes the Giants can take this offseason that could repair this team, giving it cornerstones to work around. My personal take:
- Add to the OL in Free Agency. IOL and RT depth. Mike Onwenu is perfect since he fits at G, but can play RT should Evan Neal continue to flounder in Training Camp.
-Prioritize resigning Xavier McKinney, let Saquon walk. X is a phenomenal saftey at 24 years old, his best years ahead. Barkley's best years might be behind him (as much as I will miss him, I hope he signs with the Texans or another contender). While losing a weapon like that hurts, adding to the WR core in the first pick of their draft will help with that
-Draft Nabers/Odunze in Round 1, and go with a QB in Round 2 (highest rated at 39). This gives a solid plan for the 2025 season, where DJ can comfortably be cut and you can hand the reigns to the new guy (I really like Michael Penix, personally)
-Any and all depth pieces need to be addressed. IOL, DB, and Edge. This can be handled through Draft and FA but target down those positions
It's a hard position to be in, but there's solid amount of cap space and a fantastic draft class ahead. Sticking to the script of 2022 will not work, and some hard decisions must be made to right the ship. If Joe Schoen knows what he's doing, he makes those hard calls this offseason
No way Onwenu walks, Pats have a lot of money and he is the only good OL worth a contract they have rn besides an aging Andrews
Onwenu isn't going anywhere. He's probably gonna be locked up longterm cause he has been a machine on the oline for the pats
They will need to go OT at 6 and move Neal to OG. Draft a Spencer Rattler or move up to take a Penix in the 2nd or late 1st.
I like this plan
Thank you for mentioning how much of an under-achiever Thibodeaux has been. Everyone looks at the 11 sacks but not that he got 6 of them in 3 games, some of them being coverage sacks too. Dude also has a terrible motor and a tendency to disappear when it matters most.
Not to rub it in, but that was why he fell in the draft. He was known to love the football superstar lifestyle, but not so much playing football. Putting him in NYC with all that money was asking for trouble.
You're upset about 3 multiple sack games and 11 overall? Are you expecting one sack each game?
I encourage you to go and watch Carl Bank's analysis of Kayvon before you make these conclusions. Wink's scheme didn't always have him rushing the passer and it's not like Thibs had a decent partner on the other side to take some of the focus off of him. Azeez has been injured and unavailable for the most part. Thibs did all the other dirty work that doesn't get the recognition like sacks do.
People so funny with KT. Moving the goal post. Y'all complain about him get 4 sacks as a rookie. Then instead of going on a sophomore slump he gets 11+ sacks and y'all move the goal post AGAIN talking about most of his sacks came against bad OL...but if he didn't get them sacks y'all would be saying he can't get sacks on bad OLs. Guy can't win for losing. Majority of pass rushers around the league got their sacks on bad OLs especially the Giants but we not gonna move the goal post with them because they not a confident guy like Kayvon...hope he hears and see what Giant fans say about him.
He had a fantastic motor in Year 1, like actually fantastic. I watched him on every play, the dude was chasing down running backs that were 10-15 yards up field. He was gassed on every play because he would expend his energy on first down. If you watch his film from rookie year you will notice. I think he was told by coaching to conserve energy after his rookie year. Also Wink totally misused the guy and used him as an edge setter and coverage linebacker when that's not really what he was ever known for. I'm glad Wink is gone because I think KT may have a breakout. If he doesn't then he's expendable.
I would rally behind DeVito and consider going full rebuild, even though he isn't that good right now, its the most positive press the NYG gotten this whole year.
If you put a solid team around him, they can compete.
... Yes, let's set our goal for 'good press', lol ... at least we'll have a chance to achieve ... (Regrettably, I'm serious)
Signing Jones to $40m AAV screwed the rest of the league.
They deserve these dark days
Yeah, but they can get rid of them after next year so let’s not say there painted into a corner for the next three years.
How did that screw the league? That contract was BECAUSE of the market; it didn’t create the market.
Honestly it wouldn't have been so egregious if their offensive line production didn't fall off a clip and Saquon didn't get hurt 🤕
@worldsheaviestjamband93 it screwed the market because they gave it to a qb that didn't deserve it. Last year is considered his best since his rookie year, and it was painfully average at best, yet they still gave him top dollar. They set the benchmark for even mediocre quarterbacks getting huge contracts
Minnesota screwed the league with the Kirk Cousins guaranteed contract & then Cleveland showed them they could make the dumber move‼️🤣🎯💯💯
While we did get a false sense of hope, I don't regret winning against the vikings. Daboll was a first year head coach given next to nothing and laid the foundations of a culture where winning is the precedent.
I don't think it's good for teams to be ok with losing, which is why i wasn't mad we were still trying to win at 2-8. While this season was overall bittersweet, i think we ended the season trending up.
No way he ever deserved the COTY award.
Linemen should be top FA priority. Cant continue to waste top picks on that. The guard move does make sense in the fact that he wont have to worry about the kickback step. Ill take his strength and that over the leverage than leave him on an island at tackle.
Thank you!! I been saying this we’re as bad at drafting good o lineman as the jets are at drafting QBs.
@@ShanePH6 it just makes no sense to keep trying and hoping regardless if we think this new oline coach is better. Get proven commodities and hope on skill guys
Paying a 25th percentile QB like he’s a 90th Percentile QB never works.
The problem is ppl are lumping in past failures to the new guys Schoen and Daboll are going into year 3 they overachieved w/ a weak schedule so ppl assumed they’d make a leap forward but progress is not always linear they were the youngest team in the league and looked competitive in the 2nd half when the schedule lighten and were playing w/ a 3rd string QB context matters
That’s the point. They compete with the bad teams and not the good teams. The schedule was 100% the reason they overachieved the previous year and they came back to reality this year. I mean look at their point differential..
@@kylegross1081 that’s the point they had a good 1st season they still rebuilding had a crazy hard schedule and won 6 games while playing 3 different QBs they salvaged what could’ve been a job losing season

Jets fan and I guarantee you that the Giants will get another Super Bowl before the Jets do. We are clinging to Rodgers who is retired but doesn't even know it yet.
I think they desperately need Malik Nabers as much as I want them to upgrade from Evan Neal with Alt. Maybe they trade up into the end of the first round and get Guyton or Morgan.
Taking Alt or Fashanu and turning them into right tackles to replace a guy you took as a left and turned to right is insanity. It's Nabers or Fuaga if I were a giants fan
I think you deal with Danny or Tommy for one more year, take Nabers, trade up for Mims or Guyton, and then throw as many darts as possible at the defensive positions
Guyton will go to the Cards at 27
Thibodaux reminds me of Uche. Had 11 sacks last year after a slow start to the career and every pats fan thought he was gonna be the next elite pass rusher for them. But all the sacks were against bad OL teams in just a few games. And he also was able to play with Judon. Had a dissappinting year following that as well especially with no Judon
All of Kayvons wins were quality he didn’t just stumble into any of them. He was truly dominant in games. Even going back to his rookie year he’s been incredible against teams like the cowboys but it doesn’t really get reflected in his stats. He’s very clearly an above average player who has flashed elite dominance at times although I’m not expecting that from him. Not to mention he’s been in a scheme that works against what he does well and forces him into coverage way more than he should be as well as him getting double and even triple teamed fairly consistently. Now with that being said he has a lot to improve on and he needs to become a more consistent player and I think a lot of that comes from his mentality. Sometimes he just checks out of games and doesn’t bring his best and it’s clear that he’s not as interested. Other times you could tell when he wants to play because when he wants to be there he plays damn well. If he just takes the offseason to grind in the weight room and really focuses on his footwork and rush moves he should take a big leap
I actually will always hold that quote against Evan Neal.
Drafting “weapons” when your QB is ALWAYS on the ground seems like a waste. FIX THAT DAMN OL. NO MORE EXCUSES
They will. It's just that drafting a LT at 6 makes no sense since they already have a very good LT. You can find RTs & interior Oline talent on day 2 & 3. They have had an awful Oline coach
@@peteg2715finally someone who sees common sense. Although alt is reallylyyyyy good. But still give me the elite wr
@@j.r.3945 Alt is really good & he's a pure LT. So it makes no sense. Fuaga is a RT & also really good but there will be better prospects at 6. It's WR or QB for Giants
@@peteg2715 same here other than that trade back imo
Only the Giants would fuck up two top 7 picks
You think only the Giants could draft poorly? How about the Jets for one?
The giants feel like a team that flips burgers during the week and play in the nfl on sunday.
Ring flippers maybe
i think if Tyrod played the whole year, the giants are a borderline playoff team. they are at least 8-9 and I could easily see them at 9-8 or 10-7. just saying they were not as bad as it looks. at least not when anyone other that Jones was at QB.
Wrong! Tyrod didn't win either and he had LT Thomas and RB Barkley.
Flopping 2 top 10 picks and extending DJ (as much as I love him) will be the downfall of the Schoen/Dabol era
Wym flopping 2 top 10 picks? So far Kayvon has been pretty good
@@j.r.3945 i like Kayvon but check the numbers. Massive stat pads against awful O-Lines (Jets and Redskins) he tends to disappear in big games
@@dereklee8103 numbers are a tool they don’t tell the whole story. Check the tape. He is a good player who showed good growth and has still a lot of room to improve. He was put in a poor scheme for him and wasn’t told to attack the qb as much as he should have. You see plenty of times he pulls up and tries to play more contain rather than just rush the qb and that was by design. It was coaching that put him in those positions. Now he still has to get better and more consistent but in those dominating games he had he was let completely loose to just go hunt so he did. In plenty of other games he wasn’t allowed to do that as much. He should take a big leap if he has the right work ethic moving forward. Not saying he’s gonna be a top 5 pass rusher suddenly because I don’t think he’s that type of player but I do think he will end up being a consistent double digit sack guy and he already is a pretty solid run defender. More than anything he needs to commit to a trump card move which for him should be relying on his fast first step and coupling that with a dip and rip maybe even having a spin counter. THATS his best bet unless he gets stronger in his lower body
I think KT has hit his ceiling. He's a solid pass/edge rusher but obviously was not worth a top 5 pick. If he had been a second round pick nobody would say anything about him.
He’s only 23…
There are rookies in this upcoming draft that are older than him
Yeah you tripping you clearly don’t watch him he is farrrr from his ceiling😭 at one point he was the consensus first overall pick in his draft class he has massive upside. I question more his work ethic to get to that point
We will see how he fares with the new DC and having Burns on the opposite side. Should be better.
Team full of overpaid underachievers and bad axillary coaching. The days of their former terrible front office still haunts them.
I agree with the Kayvon take. There’s been numerous times where I watch him and if his first rush move doesn’t work he just gives up.
how could everyone be so wrong about evan neal? why didn't anyone figure out he sucked before he was universally praised as a top pick?
Oh, the other teams did figure it out ...
@@larrylong9367No, they didn't. Almost all evaluations were he was the #1 or #2 OT, 3rd at worse. The Giants picked him #7 so we will never know exactly how high other teams had him. But I can say I doubt he wouldn't have been chosen in the first round.
I hate to say this, but as a Giants fan of, I don’t know 25 years (I’m 35 now) I no longer trust that my Giants will figure it out as a founding member of the NFL and flagship franchise. I don’t know how the Giants lost their way so bad I hope they figure it out though.
It will turn around, I respect the history of that team. Every team has some dark moments. And there is some solid talent on that team. Dexy will carry that defense for years! That Daniel Jones deal was just rough though.
The Giants have never seemed to want to do anything to fix their team, it's always like "well this was just a down year, we'll be fine next year" but they never are.
If you’re giving up now years after Gettleman already sunk this franchise I think you have bigger fish to fry

@@alienlife7754 Who he joined Philadelphia Eagles or New York Jets?
I have to disagree with saying Washington has an awful oline, their o line was pretty mediocre but the reason they allowed so many sacks was bc of Howell, not their blocking
Who remembers a year ago when us few giants fans with a level head said the jones contract would be a disaster? I do because so many were angry telling me how he deserved it. Now the GM and HC are on pace for paying for their sins
Everyone said it would be a disaster. Everyone with two eyes and half a brain at least. Drafting him was also a huge mistake.
I was big on the “pay barkley” train and thought jones wouldn’t get more than 28-30. I remember even laughing with some guys when someone mentioned that jones was gonna ask for 40+ and we were almost crying laughing thinking he’s not gonna get that. Yet here we are
losing Leonard Williams and Barkley is a lot of talent. If they reversed the contracts last year - franchise Daniel Jones and pay Barkley they would be in fixable shape.
Leo was overpaid and didn’t produce. That second e we got for him was major
The Giants are always shit until they randomly win a SB kind of the story of the franchise
Not really. They were good every yr when they won the two SBs in 07 & 11. Best team in 2008, could have had another SB. Now they're just bad
@@peteg2715 True they were good between 07 and 11 but 07 and 11 were the weakest two teams in that stretch at least looking at regular season performance.
Neal would surely be better at guard than tackle. He does have slow feet, and that's less of a problem at guard. They should at least give it a try in camp and see how it goes.
I’m wondering if that pass to Barkley was Daniel Jones fault it got intercepted or the blocked kick, or the etc?

Makes more sense to leave him at tackle and give him one more shot but have an insurance policy from free agency
@@j.r.3945 wrong, I’d say he’s much better in a phone booth, if one thing I’ve seen him do well it’s double teams, he doesn’t have the feet to play tackle and you don’t have to worry about space as a guard, I’ve never seen him lose by someone bull rushing him it’s always been him getting beat around the corner
@@borntobehated1758 you don’t see it because nobody has to do it not because it doesn’t happen. If you get caught leaning at guard you’re getting smoked. And although he can work a double very well, he’s still inconsistent at it and tends to punch too high. His natural strength lets him absorb straight rushes but that’s mostly been against edge players, not interior guys who tend to be much stronger. Also let’s not act like guards don’t pull. You gotta have fast feet. Especially a fast first step or you’re just gonna get cooked especially if you already play standing up. Can’t just toss everyone to guard and think they’re gonna get significantly better it doesn’t work that way. So who are you to be saying I’m wrong smh we could both be right we could both be wrong but don’t act like you know
It's not a matter of hindsight it's a matter of looking forward beyond one year. As a Giant fan they should have skipped drafting a QB (even with Eli on the way out) and built the lines. I didn't want Murray, Jones nor Haskins! Build the lines and look to the 2020 Burrows, Tua, Herbert, Love, Hurts for a QB... 2019 had a ton of good trench guys but no, NY had to reach in desperation. Same with my lowly Cards and our crutches QB. I would have understood taking Jonah Williams over the 2019 QB's at least it would have added depth on the line. At least the Gmen picked Lawrence next.
Dan Jones stinks. Always has.
Good job Man always good content even off season.
Thank you!
giants set themselves back 5+ years when they drafted daniel jones and another 3+ years when they paid him. doesn't take a genius (like myself) to figure this out
The only thing Evan Neal can block is air. Trade the bum. Management clearly doesn’t know what they’re doing.
You’re nice he can’t block air
Jones is a good QB with a below average O Line, and almost nobody to throw the ball to. Get Joe Alt, then get a good WR. Then get another O lineman and another WR. Simple!
Yea no he’s not he’s one of the worst QBs in the NFL, he’s a one read QB who cannot read coverage and has 4 straight years of less TD passes thrown than games played. Hes ass.
The main problem the Giants have had was Gettleman never really hitting on key picks. For Jones to work out the WR additions and O line development would have had to be much better. It's hard to know what Jones could be with protection and not such a bad run of WR play.
Slow feet, warm heart, lol
Even though I’m a jets fan, I would actually be really sad to see Saquon in a different uniform. I grew up in the town next to his and he’s like a huge staple in our area. And it was really cool to see him go to the exact place he wanted to. Hopefully if he does ring chase, he gets it
I like Kayvon, but the thing that scares me about him is he only has good days against mediocre lineman. He's a ghost against good tackles or at least up until now. Wink also had him do all sorts of stuff, so who knows. The jury is out on Kayvon even though if you look at his sack total you think wow that's really good, but the numbers are telling a different stroy
That’s not entirely true he absolutely has and can beat good linemen I personally think coaching has been hindering him more than anything. That and he just need to get stronger in his lower body
Jones is not the guy but watching these clips with this O-line is just insane. Realistically no rookie qb would succeed in this situation because there are so many holes to fill on the roster.
With many stars hitting free agency this offseason, I believe the giants can snag some of them and sign them and also draft too.
I think Joe Schoen is a terrible GM. Why he gets a pass from Giants fans and the local media is something I fail to to understand.
Yea, he's been a bust so far. I'm not impressed at all.
I agree he is horrible, doesn't have a clear gameplan in FA/Draft. Dabols who has an anger management problem needs to go as well.
You nailed every point 💯 excellent analysis
Thank you!
If my Pats didn't exist the Giants would have possibly the bleakest outlook in the league
What I just find interesting, is the fact that the Giants have one of the best left tackles in football (Andrew Thomas)…. AND one of the absolute worst right tackles in football (Evan Neal)
I really don’t think the giants WR room is that bad, it’s the fact they haven’t even gotten the ball in the hands of most of the guys. Hyatt could’ve had a very good rookie season under a team with a good O Line that can get him some targets. Wandale Robinson is a good gadget slot player. Even if they draft Nabers they still won’t be able to get him the football if there’s instant pressure every snap
There's not instant pressure. The black QB did just fine
As a 49ers fan, I've watched the giants play and there's been some good games but I've witnessed a pretty dry season for them.
Honestly, if Evan Neal can't fix his feeting, what's the point of keeping him on the field if he is just pulling the O-line down, Evan Neal has shown to be more of a liability than a asset and I wouldn't expect a good outcome with the giants continuing like this.
This is just my opinion, so yeah.
(Also just a bit curious what's the music between 1:29 - 5:17.)
We got some goods ... It's not Tommy salami ... It's Tommy Parmigiani ... and it's not Schoen and Daboll, it's Cain and Able ... then there's Keyvon Tippytoe, Adorable Jackson, Disease Ojar-Ali, I hope we can draft Roma Odoomsday ... A few more names like this, and I think we've got something ...
Maybe first, they revert back to the old road uniforms of the 70s, 80s and 90s and dump the red trim on shirts, joggers and socks and revert back to,'Giants' logo on helmets. We been too poor for too long and l doubt we could even be 7-10 next season'. As regards rebuilding, where do l start?
Giants probably draft the best WR available as a top QB doesn't fall to them and the price of trading up is too costly and they have many holes to fill. With all the OL signings, I don't think they draft an OT, especially any that are LTs expected to switch to RT, that is too risky for a team that cannot afford to miss. But if for some chance the right QB does fall to #6, then they will grab him, no question about it.
Hang on to Tommy DeVito though. He could be something in the right system. Give him a line and some talent at WR.
QB at #6 is ridiculous. Tier 1 WR or Tier 1 OT. Focus on round 2
I'm so tired of hearing. Take a quarterback at number 6. Take a quarterback at number 6? All you're going to get is a discouraged. Beat up injury prone player. Build the team correctly. 3 years from now, when you have a bunch of rookie contracts, draft the quarterback then. Then you will have a quarterback who is able to come into a team that has played together and is well oiled. Look at Tom Brady. He took over the Patriots after Drew Brees had been there and the team was built up.
Kayvon will be better this year, with a new defense coordinator. Obviously you don't watch every Giant's game but Wink wasn't using him right.
They're gonna be in a position to land either Nabers/Bowers/Alt this year. Cut Jones after this year and be in the QB1 running in 2025 draft, so they've got some hope
I would rather grab Nabers in the 1st and an actual RT in rd2. Alt is a stud, but he plays on the Left. I'm not sure I want to try to move a LT to RT again when we can grab a #1WR and a true RT that has extensive experience on the Right side.
I personally go iol in the second my guy is Christian Haynes and with that second pick I’m looking for a bit of a splash player like Ja’tavion sanders or maybe an edge but I’d love a 3 tech with pass rush upside to play next to Dexter Lawrence. Corner like tj Tampa is also in play and so is edge cooper I think
The top 3 QB's will be gone by the #6 pick.
Being a giants fan is hard man
They need better players and have to rebuild. That’s the deal.
Other teams get better, primarily through the draft and finding a good QB. Cleveland has gotten better, Detroit has gotten better.
Joe Schoen looks like he has the makings of a good GM. Fill the holes, build the roster, find a QB.
Mission 1=Fix The Line. Mission 2=Make sure you've fixed the Line.
Mission 3 ... Hire someone who's ONLY job, is to make sure #2 is accomplished...!
Trade down picking up picks for this year. Draft a qb and use the extra picks to upgrade the line and receiving crop and d line
For a play to work in the NFL, every player has to be successful on that play. Move Neal quickly.
"has gone," not "has went" (x2)
DJ will show out this year. 4000+ amd 30+.
Joe Alt at 6 is THE BEST FOR THIS TEAM
Trade back up for nabers i dont care
Giants could honestly take a huge leap forward this year if they play their cards right, they have 3 picks in the top 47. As long as they address 2/3 (RT,WR,QB) of those positions with there top 3 picks, then they could be ready to compete next year.
There situation is not hard to deal with first off draft Nabers, then afterwards trade for a mid first and draft JJ McCarthy or Penix. Then in the 2nd round draft a db. Third round get another reciever draft class is stacked. Fourth round draft a safety. Easy as that.
Yup ... That should be easy
I don't think I ever rooted for a player as much as I did with Daniel jones coming into this yr. Idk how we fix this shit man smh 🤦🏽♂️
They’re in a difficult situation because they suck in round one of the draft and they can’t manage to build the trenches. It’s no mystery
The fact is next year is gonna suck, The rational thing is to finish the decade project of the offense line, OFCOURSE we have to see what free agency does, but finish the line will help the future of the offence. I always think people are stupid to take a quarterback with nothing around them to build off (such as the panthers).
We should pay Mike Evan’s, trade away some receivers like Slayton, keep Wandele, then go after another decent number receiver, a real number two. Draft Alt or Fashanu. Kick old boy to guard, have him work on his skills, if Neal can’t cut it we cut him,
Finally, someone one truly get it. It does not matter if the Giants have Jerry Rice and Randy Moss at WR. If they continue to play with the worst offensive line in football, any quarterback that they put back there will get killed. They need to keep drafting OL until they get the problem fixed
That’s just a dumb way to do it my guy. Can’t keep throwing picks at the wall. After a certain point you just trade for and pay players
I think we go WR and wait for Arch Manning to enter the league
to be very honest I do have trust in Joe Shoen and Brian daboll, but the position they’re in is just immensely difficult, their best option would be to clean house have 2-3 down bad years and develop young players only keeping STAR players like Thomas and Lawrence. The problem is New York media and the 70% of delusional fans who think teams can win one season after being horrible the previous one, it happens to some teams once in a blue moon but that’s just now how it works consistently. I would look to trade DJ to any team willing to take him, let saquon go or sign and trade, drop any big cap hit players who don’t contribute enough and start drafting young talent to develop, we might be in the gutter for 2-3 years but it’d be worth it to see consistent success instead of surprising seasons followed by horrible ones after
This isn’t difficult at all lol. You grab Alt/Nabers/Rome at 6 if you don’t move up for a Qb and use your other 3 day 2 picks including two in 40 to address what you didn’t at 6. More than likely a WR will fall to early second ex. M. Pittman, Tee Higgins etc or you get either the first or second IOL available
DImes had one half of a season of OK play. Somehow, the Giants thought he was worthy of a big money contract. They are screwed until they can get out from underneath this debacle.
3:36 aight I’m gonna stop commenting it just remember. That pressure was coming heaaaavily from the left side. Keep that………
Tommy Devitos 3 game win streak is why we're not drafting the Mahomes of the 24 season in drake may...why is that ignored?
It's ignored because it was a mis-step ....
@@larrylong9367 you'd think the media would be roasting them.
I’d play the draft aggressively like Houston did last year if I was the Giants, get a new QB and get one of the top tier tackle opposite of Andrew Thomas what do they honestly have to lose🤷🏿♂️ Saqoun is most likely gone
One of the biggest issues beside poor drafting is moving on too late from clear mistakes. They were scared off of benching Manning by the fanbase when it was clear he was done. They can't figure out what they want to do with Jones, which would be an easy decision for probably 20-25 other teams. Signing him to an extension just compounds the problems. They did similar with OBJ while he sucked up all the oxygen in the room with his garbage attitude. If you don't have a clear plan and you aren't hitting the majority of your picks, you're left chasing your own tail. The evidence is also clear in big $$$ free agents that never live up to their contract. The best move they could make would probably cutting Jones loose and resetting the position. But that means admitting a huge mistake and it's not a given Mara/Schoen have the sack to do such a thing. They relied on the Manning family to vouch for Jones. Big, big mistake.
Take joe alt in first, then 2 wrs in 2nd. No qb till next years draft when jones will finally be cut.
Also joe schoen has sucked at drafting so far. If he has a few more years of terrible drafting, giants are going to be right back at square one.
The Evan Neil section was an odd one to watch, felt like someone roasting my ass instead hahaha
KT i have a feeling will get better as he matures. I am a big fan of trading down to draft Jared Verse. Verse with KT and Lawrence would be a nightmare for opposing olines. Evan Neal should be traded immediately not a fan of his attitude or his footwork. A shame a solid player like Smith went to the Cowboys in the same draft. I hope Giants will be aggressive acquiring draft capital in order to draft a QB, WR, and quality OLinemen.
KC turned a big, slow-footed OT into a decent contributor, but they had to scheme to his strengths and mitigate his weaknesses. Give that guy an outside or inside chip from a back or a TE. I think #73 can still be a good player for the Giants, but they have to do what KC did and scheme around his limitations.
Algeretti?
I highly doubt we draft a tackle at 6. I have some hope for Evan Neal now that bobby Johnson is gone.
Is Bobby Johnson going to buy him new feet?
@@K1forMVPU went straight for the KO
Even then it makes little sense to just throw another top pick at that position then have the player in the same spot. Instead it makes much more sense to go through free agency
