      @@FinznFowl82 So here's the deal these are called tappet Valves They are supposed to chatter however heavy ticking Not good. You speak because you have a new engine does not mean that it can't have a problem manufacture defect these are Chinese engines Whether it has 600 miles on it or 10000 miles doesn't matter if it has a defect from the factory. You need to determine whether it's normal valve train noise by listening to other videos or If your scooter genuinely has a problemThat needs to be addressed

    • @FinznFowl82
      @FinznFowl82 Год назад

      @@IFixShet I definitely understand there are defects from the factory as I've already fixed several other problems. 😂 I just thought it was worth mentioning. The vacuum needle(probably not the correct name for this part) in the top of the carb wasn't installed correctly and she wouldnt run over 25 to begin with. I just figured that out on my own with some luck. I also understand what you're saying about there being a "normal" ticking/tapping, so I may just let her run for a while and see if it gets any better or worse. Most videos from what I've seen makes this noise at idle or just giving it some gas on the stand when there was a problem with the inner valve spring. But the noise is exactly what it sounds like when the inner valve spring is broken, only mine does this at a certain speed as mentioned before and not when on the stand. I'm beginning to think that it just needs to be broken in further since it was running so poorly to begin with through the break in period. I believe I will run it for another hundred miles or so, adjust the valves again and inspect the rockers and springs better when I do so. I really appreciate your timely response and informative video.

      @@FinznFowl82 I’m having the same problem. Although it may not be a problem. That might be the normal operation of the engine. Some cars have a noticeable tap tap tap sound. I just installed an 80cc and I have a lot of chatter. I checked the valve clearance several times. Everything is good. No loss of power. I was thinking the noise is the valves seating tight because the valve springs are brand new (tight)

If it runs on full throttle i think carb might be cloged(when you play trottle gas squurts in carb, should increase engine speed or if you squirt gas with syring or starter fluid)

    Ive got at 50cc roketa with a amazon 100cc BBK and A9 cam, and its really chattery with a .004 gap, Its a little bit less tapping at .002 in and .0025 ex but i feel a little sketch trying to run it that tight and cant find any gap that actually quiets the tapping. Any other thoughts or suggestions? i recently posted a short vid with the example of the tapping on my channel for reference

Smooth sailing so far but I’ll keep an eye on it and check it again in the next 500mi

      same, originally mine was pretty tight at about .002 with little to no valve noise but kinda asking for problems once it gets hot and ive noticed a bit of crappy inconsistent high end power. changed both to .004 and it was way louder (sounds exactly like yours) however i was able to consistently get 30mph+. possibly unrelated but just so happened to struggle less under high load. my engines got some mileage on it tho, possibly have carbon buildup messing with the valve seats and the .002 gap didnt help it.

    • @NotThePulla
      @NotThePulla 2 года назад +2

      @@spp6849 Im in the same boat, about 4k miles on the crank/motor aside from the bbk parts, also i noticed a vacuum hiss once i turned it off when i had it at .002, and agree, too hot probably gonna end up being bad news sooner rather than later, mines back at .004i and .005e and i think im just gonna have to live with the tapping sound, ill just keep it with some good oil and change it every 1000 miles or so, add a capful of 2 stroke oil to the gas tank when filling up and keep the fingers crossed lol
