Hmm... Would the "Books and literature" category extend to other forms of media as well? I love discussing all sorts, from books to webcomics to TV and movies to videogames to RUclips videos, with others and sharing what they mean to me with them. Animal companionship is also important. As are info dumping and parallel play, though I'm not sure if many outside of the ND community understand those.
`the problem for me is that most western women havnt been trained right about what is a good man, and end up with a thousandCock stare. All because they get bored and dont want to work on themselves. I see where you're coming from. I don't agree that this video is only for people that experienced love. It could be useful for anyone! Understanding your needs and communicating your needs to your future partner is extremely helpful. This could also be applicable in non-romantic way with family and friends too!

My love language I always thought was gift giving. Though to me it’s more so the thought of giving someone they want to see the sparkle in their eyes. I don’t care if I ever receive anything. For me my biggest ones are: thoughtful surprises, emotional support, physical presence/reciprocal quality time, music and song, playfulness and humor, memory making, and animal companionship.
i have many issues with expressing emotion, especially any sort of caring or loving ways; so this was a great vid to help me find out what type of LL i have and how to express myself more^^

Within the 2 and half years I noticed that I my love language is acts of service/giving gifts. I like to make people happy by doing something nice for them in some way and other times I love buying gifts for people and the gifts parts leads into my second love language is receiving gifts. I personally like giving gifts more than receiving them

I feel like someone might not relate to one only probably a mix of all and that's okay as humans are deeply complex individual. Maybe that's why finding love or even sustaining any relationship is sometimes complicated, but sometimes we also complicate things for ourselves.

Wasn’t the love language thing recently debunked as pseudo BS? Some elements of it resonate because of their simplicity, but ultimately the love language idea is an oversimplification of deep and complicated human emotions. It also feeds into the whole myth that a partner ‘should’ just know you if they are the ‘one’, which is utter nonsense. Ultimately, life is an individual journey interpreted and recorded within our skulls. No matter how well someone matches you, they can never fully know you. That is not to say love and relationships are not important; on the contrary, we are social animals, and being social is up there with food and shelter. We cannot survive alone.

I used to love being on the computer with my dad watching TV in the next room, even though we weren't spacially close,we were close and I was comfortable. In current times, I don't think I'd be able to have a relationship through technology cause it wouldn't have that physical connection

I'm never involving a partner in my music again after I helped the last one to start a band from the ground up only for her to cheat on me when she was expected to pull her weight in the creative process, rather than have me do everything all the time. Couldn't you make a printable checklist for us types with adhd who struggle to write then down..if we had a sheet and could follow along it would be easier and would know to look it up if we keep missing it. Never mind the fact my volume is broken on my phone I can't afford to replace a phone that cost a grand when I bought it.

A lot of these are awfully specific. It seems like most of them could be placed within the scope of one of the original 5 types, but as narrower & more defined examples or expressions of a given type.
Most, but not all - i wonder if maybe we add an additional type or two to the primary 5.
