Yknow what drives me nuts. People always showcase the one side of inflation. But never the other. When taco bell items were less than a dollar the avg income was around 7 dollars an hour. Now many states feature a minimum wage double that. Where i work entry level workers are making 18 an hour. I make 25 as a supervisor.
The average income was around $7 because in 2009 the government raised the federal minimum wage to $7.25... the same year this burrito came out. And some states still have that as the minimum wage.
@Diviance and the states that have lower minimum wage have lower costs of living too though. They very much are connected. That's how inflation has always worked.
@@marciimeris503 They have that because they are also heavily subsidized by other states that give more in taxes. If you removed that subsidy, their cost of living would skyrocket.
